- Chapter 132 - Chapter 132 Chapter 131 Meeting Vance
Chapter 132: Chapter 131: Meeting Vance Chapter 132: Chapter 131: Meeting Vance Luciel looked at the registration point and saw that some people were still using laptops.
It shows that at least the north base wasn’t that poor and was able to spare energy to charge laptops.
While Luciel was looking at the registration point, he saw Yang talking to the people in charge, and then just after a minute he saw two people run inside the base.
They should be going to report about Treyton and the others to their superiors.
After Yang got the forms for registration and talked a bit with the people in charge, he returned and distributed the forms to the others for them to fill them up.
Of course, Yang didn’t give him and Treyton any form and was the one who wrote their information.
However, unlike in the previous base and shelter that they stopped by this time, they didn’t conceal their identities anymore and truthfully wrote their true names and other basic information about them, including their abilities.
Treyton already said to everyone that they should write their true information because the north base was their destination and likely the place they would be living in for a long time as long as there’s no accident.
They don’t need to conceal their identities, even their powers, because they would be using them in front of others anyway.
And with the identity of Treyton, the people with him would likely be investigated by a lot of people.
So, they don’t need to hide their abilities because they’re going to use them a lot in the future, and those that are interested in knowing about them would surely investigate them carefully, so they don’t need to hide anything.
Yang returned the filled-up registration that everyone answered and was told that they needed to wait for 24 hours before they could enter the base.
“How is it?” Treyton asked Yang after he came back.
“They said that we needed to wait for 24 hours before we could enter the base.
We could also enter the temporary shelters built outside the base if we wanted to.
But the person in charge already saw that we have RVs.
So, she even said that it would be better for us to just stay in our cars because it would surely be more comfortable than the temporary shelters they built.
According to her, they only provided some blankets inside the shelters, which were surely not as comfortable as staying in our cars.
She also said that as long as the person that stays in the shelter doesn’t turn into a zombie, they would only change the bedding once a week.
So, it wouldn’t be that comfortable to stay in,” Yang said.
The shelters that Yang was talking about were just tents in front of the wall, so of course they wouldn’t be comfortable as comfortable as they were in their cars.
Luciel also only saw a few people that registered before they went into the shelters.
So, it was obvious that the shelters really don’t have a nice condition for those that already have a good ability to survive.
However, considering that it was already an apocalypse with short supplies, it was already good that they could still provide blankets for people who were coming to the base.
“No need to go to the shelters; let’s just make do with the RVs.
At least the RV still had a heating system unlike the shelters,” Treyton said.
Most of the others would likely sleep while sitting because the space wasn’t enough, but it would still be better than going to the shelter that doesn’t have any heating system.
It’s only 24 hours anyway; after 24 hours they could surely go and live in a wider space.
They’re going to stay outside of the base for 24 hours, so after looking around the base for a while, Luciel went back to their bed, where Treyton was sitting.
Luciel already slept, so he just leaned on Treyton’s arm and started watching a movie.

He was just starting the movie, but he heard the sound of a car driving towards them; afterwards, he heard someone knocking on their RV.
Wes opened the door, and a young man wearing a military uniform entered.
They were all looking at the door, so they all saw the man.
“Brother?” Calvin uttered as soon as he saw the man who just entered their RV.
As soon as the man heard Calvin, he immediately walked fast and moved to where Calvin was and embraced him.
“I’m glad your okay; we’ve been worried about you guys all the time,” the man wearing a military uniform said, who was apparently Calvin’s brother.
Calvin’s brother hugged Calvin tightly while he was even patting his back.
It was very obvious that he was really glad to see Calvin alright.
“Brother, let me go.
I can’t breathe properly,” Calvin complained, but it was still obvious that he was happy to see his brother.
After Calvin’s brother heard what Calvin said, he finally calmed down and let go of Calvin.
Afterwards, Calvin’s brother finally noticed Treyton beside him.
“Cousin Treyton, I’m glad your finally here and even brought back Calvin and Astrid,” Calvin’s brother said.
“Oh, you guys knew that I’d be coming?” “We knew that if you had survived, you would surely go to the north base.
So, we were more worried about Calvin and Astrid because we knew that you’d certainly become stronger as long as you didn’t become a zombie at the very beginning.
According to your personality, uncle and grandfather said that you will definitely come to the north base.
So, we’ve been waiting for your arrival for the past few months.
As soon as dad received a report that you arrived together with Calvin and Astrid, he immediately wanted to go here and check if its really you guys.
Fortunately, Father was still very busy; that’s why he ordered me to come and be the one to check.
If he wasn’t busy, then I won’t have the chance to be the person who would see you guys first,” Calvin’s brother said while smiling.
“I see,” Treyton said in understanding.
“By the way, cousin, brother, where is Astrid?” “She’s in another RV.
I already called her to come over,” Treyton replied.
Samuel and Aldo had finished making the communication device for all of them a few weeks ago.
The distance of the communication device was only 20 meters, so it wasn’t comparable to the things they had said in the past, but it was already pretty good.
At least they could communicate easily within the range of all the RV’s.
That’s why Treyton already called Astrid to come to their RV as soon as Treyton saw the person who entered the door.
Afterwards, Astrid came inside their RV immediately and asked, “Who came?” “It’s me, Astrid!” Vance immediately spoke to get the attention of Astrid.
“Cousin Vance!” Astrid shouted and then immediately went to where Vance was.
“Astrid, I’m glad you’re alright!” Vance said and hugged Astrid for a bit before letting her go.
“Yeah, I’m okay now,” Astrid said.
“It’s really good to see you guys,” Vance said with a relieved smile.
“It’s also good to see you too, cousin,” Astrid said with a smile and continued to ask, “Are Mom and Dad okay?
” As soon as Vance heard the question, his expression quickly darkened.
“I’m sorry, but Aunt didn’t survive and became a zombie.
Uncle is okay, and he’s still in the military,” Vance said with sadness.
“M-Mom is gone?
She’s really gone?” Astrid asked while looking a little dazed.
Vance didn’t reply and just hugged Astrid.
After being hugged for a while, Astrid finally started crying after she finally internalized what she had just heard.
Vance just hugged Astrid until she stopped crying.
Calvin at the side was also visibly sad but didn’t cry.
While Treyton didn’t show any obvious signs of sadness.
Treyton just put his right arm around Luciel, who was originally leaning on Treyton’s arm.
“Vance, what about the others?” Treyton asked after Astrid finally stopped crying.
“Uncle Bart and Aunt Ada didn’t survive.
Uncle Bart died because Jess, who had become a zombie, injured him when he went to check them.
Aunt Ada turned into a zombie initially.
Cousin Jason and George are at the base.
Uncle Lawrence is also alive,” Vance said slowly.
“What about father and mother?” Calvin asked nervously.
“Fortunately, Mom and Dad are also alive,” Vance said.
Calvin didn’t say anything but sighed in relief but was still visibly sad that his other relatives weren’t alive anymore.
Treyton didn’t say anything when he heard that his relatives died, but Luciel knew that Treyton wasn’t actually calm because of the tightness of Treyton’s arms around him.
“I see.
Vance, tell us more about what happened to you guys and the north base while we are away,” Treyton said.
Vance nodded and was about to start talking but was disturbed by the opening of the RV.
