Oh, it’s Vance; long time no see!” Nathan said as soon as he opened the RV and saw Vance.

“It’s nice to see that you’re okay,” Vance said with a smile while looking at Nathan, who just sat in front of them.

All of them certainly heard the oncoming car, and it had stayed for a long time.

With Nathan’s nature, he would surely want to check what’s happening.

So Luciel and the others weren’t surprised by Nathan’s sudden arrival because they already knew his personality.

“Vance, do you know what happened to my family?” Nathan asked anxiously as soon as he sat down.

Unlike Treyton’s relatives that were in the military and were in power, Nathan’s family wasn’t.

Treyton had already heard some news about his grandfather and uncle when they met some soldiers from the north base because they were well-known.

However, Nathan hadn’t received any news about his family because even though his family were famous doctors and even owned a hospital, people who weren’t interested and hadn’t met them wouldn’t know about them.

Now that Nathan met someone who knew and probably had some news about his family, he quickly asked the question about them.

“Your mother, father, sister, younger brother, and nephew are all staying in your family villa,” Vance said.

“I see, thank you for telling me,” Nathan said, closing his eyes and leaning on the sofa.

Vance didn’t say anything about Nathan’s other relatives, but it was very easy to understand what happened to the others that weren’t mentioned.

“Ok, Vance, tell us what happened here in the north base in the past months,” Treyton asked again after a while to let Vance continue what he was about to say before Nathan came.

“Okay, I’ll start from the very beginning.

I woke up three days after everyone suddenly fell asleep.

When I woke up, I was handcuffed and tied to one of my bedposts.

Father and Mother woke up a day before me.

Apparently, when Dad woke up and saw that every communication device wasn’t working, he hurriedly went out to check if the others were all okay.

Father first went to check on Grandpa.

Father also tied up Grandpa before going to check the villas of our uncles.

When Father visited the villa of Uncle Bart, Aunt Ada was already a zombie, so he locked her into their room.

Jason and George were still asleep, so he also tied them up.

Then Father went to the villa of Uncle Wilder and saw that he and Aunt Kerry were still asleep, so he also tied them up in separate rooms.

After checking on everyone, Father rushed to the military base to check the situation.

When Father arrived at the military, Uncle Bart just woke up.

So, both of them arranged for the soldiers who were already awake to go and check on the others and be careful of those that woke up differently.

They found out that those who woke up differently ate people.

So, father, uncle, and the others with higher positions that were already awake decisively decided to kill everyone that woke up as zombies after finding out that they really don’t have any pulse anymore and they only have the instinct to eat people.

They found out that the zombies could only be killed after severing their necks or targeting their brains.

While killing those that turned into zombies and tying up those that were still asleep, some soldiers were injured by the zombies.

Uncle Bart was one of them; he was injured by Jess, who had already turned into a zombie.

Those that were bitten or injured by the zombies also turned into zombies, and those that turned into zombies injured a lot of the soldiers with them.

So, after seeing that those who were injured by zombies would also become zombies, they became even more careful in handling the zombies and those who were still asleep.

When I woke up the next day, Grandpa was already awake, and Aunt Kerry had also already turned into a zombie.

After I woke up, Uncle Wilder woke up next.

Grandpa and Uncle Wilder went to the military base while I stayed to look after Mom and cousins Jason and George, who were still asleep.

On the day that I woke up, most of the people in the army also woke up.

On the fourth day, all the people in the army woke up, including Jason and George.

After all of us woke up, we became busy cleaning up the military base and its surrounding areas.

Of course, Grandpa sent teams to pick up Uncle Lawrence.

But Grandpa and Father still arrange a team to go and look for Astrid again.

As for going to look for Calvin and cousin Treyton, grandpa and the others just thought of it but didn’t send any soldiers to go because it was too far.

There are still a lot of things that the soldiers needed to do, so they couldn’t selfishly send soldiers somewhere very far away just to look for their family members while the other soldiers couldn’t even go to where their families are.

I and our cousins also planned to volunteer to go and look for you guys, but because I’m not that strong, Grandpa and the others rejected our proposal.

“As soon as we woke up, we started rescuing people and started building walls around the north base, starting from the original military base and extending it outwards.

We were busy cleaning up the communities near the military base, which includes the area where we live, but the sudden downpour for many days stopped us from cleaning up zombies and rescuing survivors.

The continued rain washed away the temporary walls that we built, cut off the electricity, and even caused a lot of people to transform into zombies because they drank unclean water.

“When did you guys know about superpowers?” Treyton asked.

“We became aware of the existence of superpowers a day before the heavy rain.

A soldier accidentally used his fire ability when he was in danger.

Even though the fire wasn’t strong, at least it indeed helped him escape from danger.

The soldier tried producing fire again in his break time and found out that he could really produce fire and use it.

The soldier reported it, so we became aware of the existence of superpowers.
