Chapter 176: Chapter 175: Heavy rain and swarm of rats
So, the reduction of soldiers that had to go with them was actually good because all the 14 soldiers with them were soldiers that had a higher level of skills.

Luciel and Treyton were staying on the fourth floor together with Zam, Yang, Nathan, Theo, and the other minors in the team.

Vance also wanted to stay with them, but he had to stay with the other soldiers.

Even though Luciel’s sleep was disturbed because of the heavy rain, he didn’t bother returning back to sleep.

He planned to eat breakfast first before sleeping again later if he was sleepy.

Luciel sat near the floor-to-ceiling window and watched the scene outside.

He could clearly see that the rain and wind were still getting stronger.

Fortunately, they immediately found a place to stay because it would be more difficult to move later on.

While looking outside, he noticed something moving far away. Luciel focused his gaze at it and saw that it’s not an ‘it,’ but it should be a lot of things moving together.

“Theo, give the binoculars,” Luciel said to Theo, who was sitting beside him.

Theo was already familiar with things like binoculars and other common things that they were requesting from him because they were using them almost every time.

So, when Luciel asked for binoculars, Theo immediately handed him one.

Luciel took the binoculars and looked outside again.

He saw that the things he saw a while ago were a swarm of rats.

He clearly saw some rats that looked like they were injured, but they were still moving very fast.

So, he was sure that there were zombie rats there mixed with the normal and mutant rats.

From the looks of it the rats will surely pass the place where they were currently at which is really bad.

He couldn’t even see the end of the rat swarm, so there are probably more rats coming.

Even if they’re currently on the fourth floor, it would still be bad if they just let the swarm of rats pass through them.

A lot of those rats would probably go into different corners of the building they were in and reach the fourth floor where they were in.

There were also the people staying on the second and third floors. They would surely be targeted by those rats first.

Even if the people weren’t attacked by the zombie rats from the swarm, they could still die just by being attacked by a lot of rats.

If a person is surrounded by those rats, it would be tragic.

“F*ck! What kind of bad luck is this!”

They had just come to the building to take shelter from the heavy rain, and now they had to encounter a swarm of rats.

“Treyton, come here and look outside!”

Luciel immediately called Treyton, who was still talking to Yang, to take a look outside.

Those rats were moving very fast; within three minutes they would be able to reach where they were.

The people on the fourth floor were all alarmed by him and looked outside.

Treyton also stood up immediately and went to where he was.

“Zam, Yang, call all the others to come up here within a minute!” Treyton commanded.

“Look outside, there’s a swarm of rats coming,” Luciel said while still looking outside.

This time they don’t even need to use binoculars, and they could already see the rats coming clearly.

The rats were really moving very quickly.

“What the h*ck! How many rats are there!

Woah, some looked like they were already zombie rats. Some even had bigger sizes, clearly mutant rats. I think they’re not just rats; there are also mice!” Nathan said while looking outside.

While Nathan and other people in the room were checking out what was happening outside, the people that were downstairs began to arrive.

When all the people downstairs arrived, Treyton also finished surrounding the whole fourth floor with metals.

Treyton only left a small straight-line gap at the floor-to-ceiling window so that they could still see what’s happening outside.

After Treyton finished surrounding the fourth floor with thick metals, he went back beside Luciel and looked outside.

“They’re here!” Nathan said.
