Chapter 185: Chapter 184: In the mountain village
They probably want some information, so they chose to let them in.

When they entered, they could only leave their cars at the entrance because they weren’t allowed to drive in the village.

So, Luciel and the others had to walk towards the village while some people were left to guard the cars.

When they entered the village, Luciel could tell that there weren’t a lot of people in it.

There are only three people acting as guards on the gates of the village, and one of them had to accompany them.

The person who was accompanying them was a young man named Kent; he had introduced his name when they just entered the village.

“I will take you guys to the person who is currently in charge of the village.

The place he was staying was the widest building here.

So all of you can certainly take a rest while chatting with him,” Kent said while walking towards the largest house they could see.

Kent didn’t say anything anymore and also didn’t bother talking to them but just guided them to the largest house that they could see.

When they arrived at the largest house, they finally saw people staying inside the house.

When they were passing by the other houses, he hadn’t seen anyone in the houses.

He only saw some people gardening somewhere farther away from where they were.

When they arrived at the largest house, all the people inside became guarded as soon as they saw them coming.

“Where is Uncle Gram? These people are from the other side of the lake. They are here to rest for a while,” Kent said to the people inside the house.

“He is resting in his room; I’ll go and call him.”

Another young man answered Kent and went somewhere to call the person called Gram.

“Please have your seats,” Kent said while offering the chairs at the house.

The people that were originally scattered around the house gathered and sat at the side while Luciel and the others occupied most of the chairs inside the house.

After Luciel and the others sat for a while, the man who went somewhere returned with an old man.

“Sorry for making you guys wait,” Mr. Gram apologized as soon as he arrived.

“We didn’t wait for long; besides, we are only here to rest for a bit, so there’s no problem at all,” Treyton answered.

“I heard you guys crossed the bridge to come here. May I know what the situation is there?

The road from the lake to here was also blocked. How did you manage to arrive at the village?” Mr. Gram said.

“The roads are indeed blocked, but we managed to pass because all those things that blocked the road were cleaned up by our members that have earth superpowers. That’s why we managed to arrive here.

Before answering your questions about the situation on the other side of the lake, may we know the situation here first,” Treyton said.

“I see. Then I will start telling you guys about what happened in our village in the past few months,” Mr. Gram said with understanding.

“When all of us were suddenly forced to sleep, we were all surprised when we woke up.

We were very surprised by the people around us that suddenly turned into zombies that would eat and turn others into zombies.

When the zombies appeared, the young people in our village subdued them first to confine them, but because of that, a lot of them also suffered injuries from the zombies, which also turned them into zombies afterwards.

Because of that, we learned that the zombies were contagious, especially if you were bitten by the zombies.

We couldn’t solve the problem, so we decided to go to the city or the nearby town to see the situation outside and to look for people that might be able to cure them.

I sent people that at least have some strength to fight others, but only a few came back.

They reported that everything was already in chaos outside.

They said that there were a lot of zombies outside, so it isn’t good to go to other places.

I believed what they said, and so we didn’t rush to go somewhere anymore but just lived a bit in the village.

We put barricades around the village to ensure basic safety and just continued what we were doing.

We were able to deal with the zombies in our village, and we also managed to deal with the few zombies that wandered into our village.

Thankfully, the people in the village were good at stockpiling things, and we also have our vegetables and other things that we have planted, so we don’t really need to go outside.

However, after the heavy rain, the water became undrinkable, so I had to send people out of the village to look for water, but they only managed to get a few, which isn’t enough for the whole village in the long run.

Fortunately, 2 people suddenly have water superpowers; that’s why we managed to survive until now.
