- Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 Chapter 26 Training Ashlee
Chapter 27: Chapter 26: Training Ashlee Chapter 27: Chapter 26: Training Ashlee “Okay, you try it yourself; the target is the flowerpot where the other two daggers are,” Luciel said while handing the dagger to Ashlee.
The world had already become dangerous, so Ashlee’s interest in becoming powerful was a good thing.
Even though she is still a kid, she still needed to learn how to survive by herself, or at least she would be able to run when she was in any danger.
Ashlee held the dagger and threw it, but it didn’t even reach half of the distance.
But it was actually good enough that, at least, she could still throw it.
It seemed that the physical attributes of ordinary people were really a bit stronger, as Ashlee could still hold and throw the dagger.
“Oh, it didn’t reach,” Ashlee said sadly.
“That’s why you need to train to become powerful,” Luciel said with a smile.
Of course, he actually didn’t train to become powerful because there was no time to train at his time.
He was directly involved in combat, which was where he enhanced and learned his skills.
He didn’t have any prior training, except for a bit of training he got when he needed to act in an action movie.
Aside from that, he learned everything he knew while risking his life to survive.
However, Ashlee was still young, and her father and other people were still around to protect her, so she still had time to train herself before facing danger directly.
“Brother, train me!
I want to become strong!” Ashlee said eagerly.
“Okay, I will train you first; when your father wakes up, ask him to let others teach you.” “Okay,” Ashlee agreed.
“Ok, then, you need to start running.
Start running from there to there, 20 times,” Luciel said while pointing from one end of the rooftop to the other end.
There was still a lot of space on the rooftop, so Ashlee could start training.
She needed to have enough stamina to run when she’s endangered, so running would be her first training.
Ashlee started running while he continued watching the movie he had paused a while ago, but he was still paying attention to Ashlee.
He was surprised that Ashlee actually persisted in finishing the task he gave her.
Even though he could see that Ashlee was already tired, she still persevered and continued running until she finished running back and forth 20 times.
“Good job, Ashlee!
You can rest first.” “Is that all my training?” Ashlee asked after drinking water.
“Of course not; you need to run again this afternoon; after you rest, you will practice how to hit the flowerpot there,” Luciel said while pointing at the flowerpot that still has two daggers in it.
He knew that daggers were still too heavy for Ashlee, so he went to get some surgical knives from the medical kit in Treyton’s room.
Throwing daggers and surgical knives would, of course, have a bit of a difference, but it can be addressed later on once Ashlee can properly hold a dagger.
He just wanted to let Ashlee practice her accuracy.
If she trained hard, even if she held a different weapon in the future, she would only need to adjust a bit before he could use it as her own as long as her accuracy is present.

“You can aim at the flowerpot as long as you want; if you are tired, you can rest first,” Luciel said, handing the knives to Ashlee.
“Be sure to hold them properly so that you won’t be injured,” he warned before giving her some of the surgical knives.
It seemed that Ashlee really liked aiming at the flowerpot with the knives because every time she got tired, she would only rest a little and continue aiming at the flowerpot.
They just stayed on the rooftop again, and even though it was already afternoon, no one had woken up yet.
Fortunately, Nina woke up near the evening; if not, they would be eating sandwiches again.
When Nina woke up, she was very flustered after seeing herself tied up with the others.
As soon as she saw him, she immediately asked nervously, “Sir Luciel, what’s happening?
I didn’t do anything wrong, did I?” “Nina, you finally woke up!” Luciel said with a wide smile.
Seeing Nina awake really made him happy.
With her awake, he and Ashlee could finally stop eating sandwiches for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
“Wait a bit; I’ll just cut the ropes for you,” Luciel said, going to where Nina was and freeing her.
“Sir, why am I and everyone tied up?” Nina asked after she was freed.
“You remembered fainting, right?” “Yes, I did faint last night,” Nina answered slowly.
“It’s not last night; this is already the second day after all of us fainted.
You are tied up because you might not have woken up as yourself.
You can understand it by looking there and by looking outside,” Luciel briefly explained while pointing at the tied-up zombie Rick and outside.
Nina followed what he said and looked at the zombie Rick and then looked outside.
Yesterday, he and Ashlee only saw the zombie guard in the morning and three other roaming zombies in the afternoon.
Now that it was already the second day, the road clearly showed some bloodied zombies here and there.
They obviously ate someone already.
And some who weren’t completely eaten could be seen roaming around, even though they weren’t completely intact.
As soon as she saw those things roaming outside of the villa, Nina visibly paled.
She also looked at the zombie Rick again and became even paler.
“Sir, you mean I might turn into something like that?” Nina asked.
“Yes, I’m not sure what happened, but those that have visible black veins aren’t alive anymore.
Their hearts aren’t beating anymore, and they also don’t have any consciousness.
They just instinctively want to eat others, just like the zombies in the movies.” “So, Rick is already dead?” Nina asked with red eyes.
