- Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 Chapter 36 Treyton's group first time killing zombies
Chapter 37: Chapter 36: Treyton’s group first time killing zombies Chapter 37: Chapter 36: Treyton’s group first time killing zombies “Yes, time passes differently there, which makes training very effective.
Anyway, let’s go downstairs for dinner,” Treyton suggested.
“Okay, let’s go,” Luciel agreed.
They went downstairs, had dinner, and then discussed their plans for practice the following day.
Luciel was on the rooftop with Ashlee and Nina to watch how Treyton and the others would handle the zombies in front of the villa.
Yesterday, Treyton and the others already decided to practice with the zombies outside the villa.
So, after breakfast, Treyton and the others just rested for a bit before preparing to go out and deal with the zombies in front of the villa.
Over the past few days, many people had left the community, which was understandable since it was designed for the wealthy.
Many of these people likely had connections elsewhere, which explained why so many had been seen leaving for other places.
The villa belonging to Treyton was relatively close to the main road, which meant there were more zombies in front of their villa, as they were attracted by the cars of those people leaving the area.
Luciel counted at least 70 zombies nearby, which they could easily handle as long as they did it properly.
Even if some more zombies were attracted because of their fight, they could certainly be able to deal with all of it without any difficulty as long as they act properly.
“Brother, what are they going to do down there?” Ashlee asked curiously while watching Treyton and the others below.
“They’re going to deal with the zombies’ downstairs.
You should watch how they handle it because you’ll need to do the same in the future,” Luciel replied.
“Okay,” Ashlee said, nodding obediently.
It might be gruesome, but Ashlee needed to see it, as she would encounter many such situations in the future.
Being still a child, her acceptance of these harsh realities was relatively high.
She would surely become stronger and learn to survive in this chaotic world.
“Sir, do you think everyone will be alright?” Nina asked with concern.
Unlike Ashlee, who was merely curious, Nina was genuinely worried, which was understandable given her long history of peaceful living and her precious view of everyone.
“Don’t worry too much.
Treyton and his bodyguards are all capable,” Luciel assured her.
He had already heard that Treyton and the others were part of a special force in the army, so he knew they were highly skilled.
70 zombies would just be very easy for them to deal with.
Luciel didn’t stay in his room to play with his phone and came to the rooftop because he also wanted to watch the fight as well.
Although it was already mentioned in the novel that they were all good, he needed to see their skills firsthand to feel confident about their future travels.
If their skills aren’t up to par, he wouldn’t be able to continue his leisure life.
So, he needed to verify if they were really as skilled as they were described in the novel.
Treyton and the others began by tackling the zombies in three groups, each with four members.

They used their powers and daggers effectively to handle the zombies.
Their superpowers were clearly insufficient, so they used their daggers for the final blow.
They worked well together to protect themselves and their teammates.
They only started practicing their powers yesterday, so it was obvious that their abilities were insufficient.
They can’t even create a proper lethal attack with their powers yet.
But they still tried to use their powers to get used to using them in combat.
They were using other weapons to really deal with the zombies in front of them.
After some practice, they restructured their groups into pairs and continued to clear the zombies, efficiently cleaning up the area in front of their villa.
Besides Treyton and his bodyguards, Calvin, Yang, and Nathan also helped by targeting zombies that were farther away.
They knew that their aims weren’t perfect, so they focused on the zombies at a farther distance.
They managed to hit some of these distant zombies after several attempts.
As soon as they dealt with a zombie, they became very pale, but they still gritted their teeth and tried to deal with more zombies.
Fortunately, despite attracting some zombies with their gunshots, they managed to clear them all.
After clearing the zombies in front, everyone returned to the villa.
Before entering, they removed their outer clothes and cleaned up a bit using the garden’s water source.
Luciel, Ashlee, and Nina went downstairs as soon as they saw that they were done dealing with the zombies.
As soon as they went downstairs, Nina immediately assisted the others by handing out towels.
“Samuel, when did you get injured?” Zam asked coldly after noticing a cut on Samuel’s arm.
Everyone turned to look at Samuel upon hearing Zam’s question.
They were all looking at him with concern because of what they heard.
They were all probably worried about him turning into a zombie.
“Huh?
Am I injured?
I didn’t feel it.
Oh, I remember now.
I must have cut myself with my dagger while fighting one of the zombies,” Samuel said nervously, inspecting his arm.
Treyton and Nathan had already mentioned that it was crucial to avoid injuries, as they were unsure if wounds contaminated by zombies would lead to zombification.
It was also the reason why they dressed up fully covered because they were trying to avoid being in contact with any zombie fluids.
“Let me see it,” Nathan said, looking very serious while examining Samuel’s wound.
“Your wound isn’t turning black or anything, but since you used your dagger on the zombies, we need to observe it carefully.
I’ll treat it first, then we’ll see what happens,” Nathan said.
“Okay,” Samuel replied with a pale face.
Although they were all former special forces members, this was their first time fighting zombies.
Even if they didn’t show it, they might have been a bit scared because they weren’t accustomed to dealing with such things, so being unable to fully pay attention to themselves was expected.
Understanding this, Treyton didn’t reprimand Samuel.
Instead, he said, “Jacob and Wes will guard Samuel and keep an eye on him.
You can tie him up after Nathan finishes treating his wound.” “Samuel, are you okay with this arrangement?” Treyton asked while looking at Samuel.
“Yes, of course.
I’m the one who didn’t pay proper attention to myself.
I don’t want to bring any danger to the others, so it’s fine to tie me up,” Samuel responded seriously, despite his pale face.
“Don’t be too nervous; your wounds didn’t change, which should be a good sign,” Treyton said to comfort Samuel.
“What about you guys, Calvin and Yang?
Are you already okay?” Treyton asked.
Treyton obviously asked the two because they have the most intense reaction among the people with them.
The bodyguards of Treyton were obviously more okay because they had gone through a lot of things already.
And even though Nathan wasn’t experienced like Treyton’s bodyguards, he was also a doctor who had obviously seen a lot of people’s deaths.
Nathan had already seen a lot of things as a doctor, and given his personality, his mentality was obviously higher than Calvin’s and Yang’s.
So, although Calvin was also obviously afraid, he was calmer than Yang and Calvin and was only very pale.
Unlike Calvin and Yang, who had been vomiting as soon as the fight was over.
They managed to kill some zombies, but after the tension of the battle was gone, they immediately started vomiting.
“I’m okay; I just need to calm down a bit,” Yang answered while forcing himself to calm down.
Yang managed to answer, but Calvin, who performed better than Yang and Nathan when shooting zombies a while ago, was now crouching on the ground while vomiting.
Luciel could say that Calvin’s performance was actually very good.
He was very focused when they were dealing with the zombies and managed to shoot twice the number of zombies compared to Yang and Nathan.
However, Calvin doesn’t have any experience fighting others, and he was even a person who was deeply focused on studying, so being unable to take what just happened was understandable.
Even though the zombies were obviously already dead people, it still can’t be avoided to think they killed people because zombies were originally people.
Being able to shoot them when they were in battle can already be said to indicate that they still had a strong mentality.
Being psychologically burdened by thinking that they shot people was common, so their reactions are very understandable.
They will overcome it eventually.
Treyton went near Calvin, patted his back, and said, “Calvin, remember that those you shot are no longer people.
We killed them again because we have to.” “I-I know,” Calvin managed to answer.
“That’s good; just carve that in your mind.” “Let’s all have a rest to recover our energy.
We will discuss more after lunch,” Treyton said to everyone.
