Chapter 50: Chapter 49: How to deal with unreasonable people 2 Chapter 50: Chapter 49: How to deal with unreasonable people 2 Luciel moved forward and talked while removing the dagger from the man’s arm and pointed it at his throat.
“Kill me?
Who are you talking about?
Why don’t you guys leave while I’m still talking nicely?” Luciel said with a sneer.
“You see, I wanted to sleep already, but you guys kept talking about some nonsense.
While I’m still being nice, why don’t you guys leave?
Or do you want me to slit your throat right now?” Luciel said slowly while staring at the man darkly.
The man looked into his eyes and then got scared, so he called everyone to leave.
“L-let’s go!
Let’s look for somewhere else to spend the night at,” the man said, running back to their car in a hurry while clutching his wounded arm.
“See?
Very easy, right?
Just scare them a bit and they’ll run away on their own,” Luciel said, handing the dagger to Nichole while talking to Treyton.
The dagger was stained with blood, so he gave it to Nichole for cleaning.
After hearing what he said, Treyton chuckled and said with a smile, “Don’t worry; next time I will surely follow your example.” “Yep!
You better follow my example.
Let’s go; I want to sleep already,” Luciel said while yawning and walking back to their car.
Luciel knew that Treyton and the others actually already knew that with such kinds of people, talking to them wouldn’t get anywhere.
There’s no point in talking to such people who were obviously unreasonable.
So, in such situations, it would be better to just use absolute force to scare them.
They just weren’t doing anything because they were bound by their experiences as soldiers.
They were all soldiers and even grew up surrounded by them, so their views were also influenced by the army.
They were always told not to hurt civilians, so in a world that had just started to be chaotic, they were still unable to raise their hands against civilians.
They could easily deal with the zombies they were passing by because they knew they weren’t people anymore.
But they were still restricting themselves from using their force when they were dealing with civilians because of how they grew up.
They weren’t soldiers anymore, so they were also just citizens themselves, so they actually didn’t need to follow such rules.
Treyton obviously didn’t stay as a soldier for a long time, but it was obvious that he grew up near a lot of soldiers, so even though he became a businessman later on, his basic values were still the same as the others.
They were all still bound by the rules of a peaceful world, so they were unable to act properly.
After some time, all of those binds will also come undone, so they needed to have stronger principles of their own or have something to believe in so that they wouldn’t be carried away by the dark emotions that the apocalypse brings.
Getting something by force would become a very normal phenomenon.

Scaring others would just be considered to be mild by then.
Of course, Luciel doesn’t want Treyton and the others to always rely on force, but he just wanted them to know how to deal with unreasonable people earlier because he was sure that they would still meet a lot of such people while they are going north.
And of course, the main reason why he dealt with those people was because he couldn’t sleep even though he wanted to sleep already, and he got irritated by them.
They’re the people who irritated him, so of course they had to suffer a bit.
———- “Be sure to warn the others again not to carelessly disturb Ciel when he was sleeping or wanted to sleep,” Treyton said to Nichole before following Luciel back to their car.
Treyton already knew that Luciel was very grumpy when his sleeping time was disturbed or if it wasn’t enough.
He had already experienced dodging Luciel’s punches and kicks when he was woken up early in the morning.
Luciel’s punches and kicks were all lethal, as he could accurately target the vital points even though he wasn’t even awake.
So, he already warned the others not to disturb Luciel when he was sleeping.
If they couldn’t dodge Luciel’s attack, then they would have to be injured.
Most of the time Luciel was just lazy and didn’t do anything, so he could only see the deeper side of Luciel in his subconscious reactions.
His laziness and chill attitude in normal times were masking the dangerous character he also had.
Treyton didn’t know what triggered Luciel the day they all lost consciousness, but it was the only time he clearly felt how dangerous Luciel could be.
Even though he felt it only for a brief moment, the murderousness Luciel had was clearly not a joke.
That’s why he already warned the others not to carelessly provoke Luciel.
He knew that the people with him wouldn’t provoke or do anything to Luciel, but he still warned them again just to be more careful.
Today he saw Luciel’s other character again, which he only showed for a brief moment.
The man who kept provoking them and was hardheaded and arrogant clearly ran away because he was afraid of Luciel.
He knew that Luciel wasn’t joking when he said that he would slit the man’s throat.
The man also clearly felt it; that’s why they ran away without saying anything more.
Luciel said that he was just scaring them, but Treyton felt that if Luciel wanted to, he could really kill all of those people without even blinking.
However, even though Luciel was dangerous and powerful, and even if he doesn’t know what Luciel experienced to have such skills and murderousness, he doesn’t mind it.
Treyton already knew that Luciel wasn’t a danger to them, which was enough.
When Luciel woke up, he didn’t run away or give up on them but clearly took his time to let most of them survive.
