- Chapter 61 - Chapter 61 Chapter 60 Meeting Jane
Chapter 61: Chapter 60: Meeting Jane Chapter 61: Chapter 60: Meeting Jane Treyton also assigned Wes to give pointers on how to deal with zombies and basic fighting techniques to the others after they finished training with Mark.
The others also don’t have any objections because they knew that they were doing it for their own good.
Treyton already stated that he won’t be able to protect them, so they have to fight on their own later.
Ashlee was also doing her routine of running 20 times and then practicing her throwing skills.
While Ashlee was practicing on her own without saying anything, Ava, who was forced to run around by Treyton, kept on complaining.
“Hey!
Why do I need to run around while he was only sitting there leisurely?” Ava said while pointing at him.
“I’m also practicing my abilities, can’t you see?” Luciel said while raising the flowerpot with strawberries in it.
“Liar!
You are just watching a movie!” Ava pointed out.
He was indeed watching a movie, but he was also using his ability to grow the strawberry in the flowerpot.
“Yes, I am, but I’m still practicing, aren’t I?” Luciel said, then ate the strawberry he had just grown.
“You are just growing it to eat them!” Ava shouted again.
“Yeah, I’m indeed eating them, but I’m still using my abilities to grow them, aren’t I?” Luciel said while smiling.
“It’s still unfair!” Ava continued complaining, but Luciel didn’t care about Ava anymore.
He just continued to watch the movie he was watching while leisurely growing strawberries until they bore fruits for him to eat.
He obviously wasn’t training seriously, but since Treyton didn’t say anything, the others also didn’t care except for Ava, who was complaining about him but still couldn’t do anything about it.
Treyton had an agreement with him, so even though he would remind him to practice for his own good, he wouldn’t force him to practice if he didn’t want to.
He was practicing in their space sometimes.
He already grew a lot of plants in their space.
So, Luciel was sure that Treyton already knew that he was more capable than the other plant users with them.
Treyton didn’t even bother reminding Luciel to practice anymore.
All of them were busy practicing in the morning, but in the afternoon all the others became busy again because the water was currently reaching the first floor.
The rain kept getting stronger, so the drainage system couldn’t keep up with the water flow.
The others were busy moving those that they deemed to be useful from the first floor to the second and third floors.
While they were busy moving things, they heard a woman shouting outside.
“Hello!
Please open the door!
Please let us in!
Hello!” “Sir, it’s a woman carrying 2 children,” Zam reported after checking who it was through the window.

“Let them in,” Treyton said.
Zam went downstairs to let the woman in.
Afterwards, Zam went upstairs with the woman shouting outside.
Luciel and the others saw that the woman was clearly drenched by the rain, but the girl and boy she was carrying were tightly protected.
The woman obviously didn’t wear other clothes aside from the coat she was wearing, so she was already completely drenched because of the heavy rain and flood below.
Her state was the opposite of the children she was carrying.
The girl and the boy were wearing several layers of clothes, and they were also in a transparent trash bag that was tied to their boots, so they still had a source of air and wouldn’t suffocate.
“Thank you very much for letting us in.
Our house is already getting flooded, and Sophie also started to have a fever.
Yesterday, I saw that you have a child with you.
May I ask if you have any medicine?
I will certainly repay it later.
I also have plant superpowers; if you need them, I can surely produce some plants for you,” the woman said pleadingly.
“Ok,” Treyton simply agreed.
“Thank you very much!” The woman said happily.
She put down the boy she was carrying, and Zam, who was nearby, helped remove the trash bag that was covering the boy.
Treyton already agreed, so Nathan approached them and said, “I’m a doctor; let me check her condition first.” The woman handed the girl to Nathan while tearing the trash bag that was covering her, but she was careful not to touch the girl because she was still wet.
Nathan asked some questions regarding the girl and checked her condition.
“Don’t worry; it’s really just a fever; we still have medicine for fever,” Nathan said after checking the girl’s condition.
They got a lot of medicines when they stopped by several pharmacies while they were on the road.
Aside from the gas stations, they also always stopped by pharmacies whenever they saw one.
With Nathan by their side, they knew what medicine they had to take with them.
Of course, he and Treyton don’t need to choose at all.
They always get a lot of medicines from the pharmacies they were stopped by without caring what the medicines were for.
“Thank you very much!” The woman said with obvious relief in her tone.
“Please, go and wash up; we will take care of them first,” Zam instructed the woman who was drenched.
Nathan had placed the girl on one of the sofas when he was checking the girl’s condition.
After the woman left, the boy just stayed near the girl while staying silent.
Nathan tried talking to the boy but was ignored, so they didn’t bother them anymore and just waited for the woman who went to wash up.
Luciel also continued watching movies until the woman arrived and started telling them about themselves.
“My name is Jane; she is my daughter Sophie, and he is my friend’s son Theo,” Jane introduced all of them.
“My husband didn’t manage to survive after fighting my friend and her husband, who turned into zombies.
Before turning into a zombie herself, my friend managed to give Theo to me,” Jane calmly stated.
