- Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 Chapter 96 Hot Weather
Chapter 97: Chapter 96: Hot Weather Chapter 97: Chapter 96: Hot Weather In such a team, it will, of course, have a lot of people with superpowers or just capable people without superpowers.
That’s why even if Richard was willing to follow them, he was embarrassed because he was just an ordinary person.
“No need to be embarrassed; an addition of one person isn’t a big deal, right?” Luciel said to Richard and then turned to Treyton.
“Yes, of course.
As long as you can do something helpful, it’s not necessary for you to have superpowers or strong physical strength to join.
So, what can you do?” Treyton said.
“I-I don’t have any superpowers, but I can still kill a few zombies if needed.” “Oh, you’ve killed some?” Luciel asked, interrupting Richard.
“Yes, I needed to kill some zombies to survive while following others to come here.
But I’m not that skilled in doing it, unlike other people who had some skills in dealing with zombies efficiently.
I can only deal with the weakest zombies.” “That’s already good.
What else?” Treyton said.
“My specialty is, of course, still management, and I am also a good cook,” Richard said immediately.
It was obvious that Richard also wanted to follow them, knowing that Treyton was a very capable person.
“You know how to cook?” Luciel asked.
“Yes, if I hadn’t worked as a manager, I should have been a chef because I had been trained to be a chef when I was younger,” Richard said with a smile that clearly showed that he was thinking of his memories when he was younger.
“Then, you’ll be helping Nina in the kitchen and helping Yang in logistics if you decide to join,” Treyton said.
“I will follow; thank you very much!” Richard said happily.
“Then you better go and get your things and follow us to where we live.
Wes will accompany you,” Luciel said.
“Thank you very much, Luciel and Sir Treyton.
I will just go and get my bag,” Richard said, and then hurriedly went back to get his things, accompanied by Wes.
Luciel remembered that Richard had a family, but according to the information he gave, he was the only person who was traveling.
Richard didn’t even ask for any additional slot and just readily agreed to join them to go north.
So, his family shouldn’t have managed to stay alive.
“You really don’t have anything else you want to buy?” Treyton asked him again.
“Yeah, there’s really nothing good.” “Then, let’s go back,” Treyton said.
Both of them went back to their temporary residence.
When they arrived, Nina and the others were already preparing their dinner.
They didn’t bother going back to their room and just waited for dinner.
While they were waiting for their meals, Nate’s nephew, who was finally awake, approached him.

“Sir Luciel, thank you very much for what you did,” Austin thanked him seriously.
“As I said to your mother, you don’t really need to thank me because I didn’t do it for you,” Luciel said nonchalantly.
“Even so, I still needed to say thank you.
Thank you, sir, for pulling me out of the darkness that was surrounding me.
If I hadn’t seen what you have done, I might have still been trapped in the dark thoughts I had.
If you need anything that I can help you with, please tell me,” Austin said sincerely.
“Oh, the world is still pretty dark, and it would continue to worsen.
So, no need to thank me because we are still living in such a murky world.” Luciel could understand what Austin was trying to say, but the time they were in was in an apocalyptic age.
The time they were in now could magnify and manifest the darkness of the human heart, so they would surely live in such a very murky world for a long time.
“But if you want to help me, of course you can,” Luciel added.
He wouldn’t refuse any extra help that was offered for free.
It seemed that Austin was satisfied with what he said, so he obediently went back to where his mother and friend were.
When they finished eating their meal, Wes arrived together with Richard.
Richard said that he was delayed for a bit because he said goodbye to some people who traveled with him.
The next morning, Richard also displayed his cooking skills, which were even greater than Nina’s.
Nina was an all-round housekeeper, so it can be said that she really doesn’t specialize in cooking.
All the food Nina prepared was delicious, but Richard’s cooking skills can be said to be better, especially when preparing more complicated dishes.
So, with him around, Luciel could enjoy more dishes aside from what Nina prepares.
Luciel was already happy after eating a good breakfast.
He became happier when the RVs arrived in front of them.
Treyton still allocated the 3 RVs with the same people as before when they left the villa, and the fourth RV was allocated to Ava and her bodyguards.
The others who weren’t on the list were assigned to drive their old cars with some supplies that don’t fit the RVs.
If they put all the supplies that they received, then all the RVs would be too crowded and wouldn’t be any different from riding their old cars.
Treyton said it was just some supplies, but it still occupied all the cars; they were previously riding even though a lot of supplies were stuffed in the 4 RVs.
It may be considered to be just a small supply for the whole base, but for their current team, it is more than enough.
Luciel didn’t care about the supplies and just went inside the closest RV.
He looked around and saw that the RV really has complete features and equipment.
There’s a compact kitchen with a stove, sink, and refrigerator.
On the side, there’s a small bathroom.
At the front, there are sofas and a table, and at the rear of the RV, there’s a bed.
Additionally, there are many compartments throughout the RV for storing their belongings.
After looking around for a bit, he was satisfied with all the things inside, so he just sat in one of the sofas and started browsing his phone for a movie to watch.
“I thought you would immediately go and lie on the bed,” Treyton said as soon as he entered the RV.
“Of course I wanted to, but the bedsheets haven’t been changed yet,” Luciel said.
He doesn’t know if the owner of the RV used the bed or not, so even if he wanted to lie down, it had to be changed first.
“Yang, go and get new bedsheets from Theo first,” Treyton said to Yang, who was entering the RV.
“Ok,” Yang said, and he let Ashlee in before going to where Theo was.
“Are we going to ride this every day?” Ashlee asked while looking around curiously.
“Yeah, if nothing happens, we will always use this car,” Luciel answered.
“Really?” “Yeah.
It’s better than staying in our previous car, right?” “Yes, it’s bigger, and it looks like a small house!” Ashlee said happily while sitting on the sofa in front of them but still looking around.
“Yeah, you can say it’s a moving small house,” Luciel said.
Ashlee didn’t ask any more questions and just continued looking around the car.
Yang also came carrying new bedding with him and not just a bedsheet.
He was also the one who changed the bedding.
After the bed was prepared, Luciel didn’t stay on the sofa any longer and just went to lie down.
Afterwards, they just waited for everyone to settle in properly and for all the supplies to be loaded before setting out again.
Treyton let the soldiers say their words of goodbye to General Brown, and they also said goodbye to the two people who came from the survivor’s settlement that accompanied them for a short while.
After saying their goodbyes, they started traveling north again.
Their traveling speed wasn’t that fast because Treyton and the others still continued dealing with zombies to get more zombie crystals.
Because of the RV, most of the time they didn’t bother looking for a place to stay any longer and just stopped in some clearing, which they could easily defend if something happened.
With the RV, it really became comfortable to travel.
Luciel enjoyed such comfort for 2 days, but on the third day of their travel, after getting the RVs, Luciel wasn’t that comfortable anymore.
The fair weather suddenly turned scorchingly hot.
Even though the AC was on at the highest level, Luciel still felt hot.
“Ugh, Treyton, hand me another ice cream,” Luciel said to Treyton, who was getting ice-cold water for himself.
“You already ate two tubs of ice cream; why don’t you eat another one later?” Treyton said.
“Just bring me one; I can’t stand this heat without eating something cold,” Luciel said.
The weather became very hot, which was very annoying for him.
