The dagger pierced the door frame, frightening the nanny who was about to enter the main hall.

“Oh my God!” The nanny exclaimed in fear.

Seeing several maidservants coming out because of the nanny’s shouts, the man left quietly. After the nanny calmed down, she saw a piece of paper tied to the handle of the dagger and knew that this might be Emperor Yong’an’s reply to Ye Huiyu’s letter.

The nanny quickly took the dagger before the maid came out and quickly put it into her sleeve. After several maids came out, one of them asked, “Mo Mo, what is going on? Why did you scream just now?”

The nanny listened to her words, took a black cloak, and helped her wear it. After Ye Huiyu was ready, the nanny hesitated and asked, “Wangfei, are you sure you want to do this?”

Ye Huiyu looked at the nanny’s worried expression and smiled slightly, “Mo Mo, you know this day will come when my father kills him. You don’t need to convince me. If I can come back tonight, everything will be fine. But if I don’t come back before the third watch, you should leave the imperial capital city.”

After speaking, Ye Huiyu nodded to her personal maidservant. The young maidservant walked to the side room and came back with a cloth bag in her hand. She handed the cloth bag to the nanny and then waited on the side. The nanny glanced at the cloth bag in her hand and then looked at Ye Huiyu in surprise.

“Wangfei, what are you going to do?” The nanny asked in fear.

Ye Huiyu patted the nanny’s hand gently and said, “I have prepared some money and dry food for you.”

Seeing that the nanny wanted to refuse, Ye Huiyu said again, “Mo Mo, listen to me. If I don’t come back before the third watch, just leave. Don’t hesitate. This is an order.”

Before the nanny could answer, Ye Huiyu walked out of the living room with the maidservant. After walking out of the back door, Ye Huiyu saw a simple black horse carriage parked there. With the help of her personal maidservant, she calmly got into the carriage.

When the maidservant lowered the curtain, the coachman flicked the horsewhip, and the wooden wheel moved. In the silent night, the black carriage quietly left the imperial capital city.

After driving for more than an hour, the coachman pulled the reins, and the horses slowed down. When the carriage came to a complete stop, the coachman got down from the driver’s seat and took out the small step stool from under the carriage.

He placed the step stool next to the carriage and said politely, “Wangfei, we have arrived.”
