Chapter 263: I Know A Lot Of Things
Looking at the woman with the same face as her, Duan Yixin thought, ‘Is she the original Duan Yixin?’
Just as she was thinking about it, Liang Jiaying took something out of her sleeve pocket and threw it to the other Duan Yixin. When the other Duan Yixin saw the jade token, Duan Yixin noticed that the other Duan Yixin’s eyes flickered. After taking a few steps closer, Duan Yixin squatted down and took a closer look at the jade token.
Duan Yixin frowned when she saw the word ‘Wan’ on the jade token. This jade token was the same jade token in the box that Madam Chi gave to her before she left Yunshan Village.
“Why do you have this jade token?” The other Duan Yixin asked after a long silence.
When Liang Jiaying heard this question, she chuckled and pretended to be sad, “Can’t you guess it? Of course, I got this jade token from the Chi family. Aren’t you curious how I got it?”
The other Duan Yixin reached out to grab the jade token, but Liang Jiaying stepped on her hand, and her expression twisted, “Answer me!”
Although covered in blood, the other Duan Yixin still looked calm. Liang Jiaying was very angry when she saw her calm expression.
She sneered and tried to provoke the other Duan Yixin, “Did you know? Because that old woman refused to hand over this jade token, I had her eyes gouged out and her nails pulled out. Before we could pull out her ribs, she was dead. It was so exciting to see the other three members of the Chi family go crazy when they saw that old woman dead.”
Hearing this, the other Duan Yixin raised her eyes and glared at Liang Jiaying. Seeing her angry look, Liang Jiaying got excited and kicked her in the stomach. The other Duan Yixin coughed up a mouthful of blood.
“Cough, cough!”
Duan Yixin watched Liang Jiaying torture the other Duan Yixin while Tang Zizheng stood motionless behind Liang Jiaying.
After beating the other Duan Yixin, Liang Jiaying calmed down and said, “Since you seem interested, I will tell you some news. The remaining three people in the Chi family were all killed by the emperor. If you want revenge, go ahead and find him. I’m just following their orders.”
Leaving these words behind, Liang Jiaying took Tang Zizheng out of the house. Duan Yixin turned to look at the other Duan Yixin and saw her pushing her injured body up from the ground. She held the jade token tightly and sat on the ground without saying a word.
After a long time, the other Duan Yixin finally moved. She stood up with difficulty and dragged herself to the door. Seeing her walk out and stand there looking at the sunset, Duan Yixin walked to her side and happened to hear the other Duan Yixin whispering softly.
“Emperor? Ha ha ha! Everyone from the imperial family is really trash! It was my fault for trusting him. I should have listened to all of you and stayed away from him in the first place.”
She held the jade token tightly until her fingers turned white, then lowered her eyes. The next second, tears fell to the ground. Duan Yixin was surprised to see the other Duan Yixin crying in silence. She stood there, silently accompanying the other Duan Yixin for a long time.
When the sun disappeared on the western horizon, the other Duan Yixin wiped her tears and raised her eyes. Duan Yixin saw hatred and regret in her eyes.
“If I had known… I wouldn’t have saved him. This is all my fault. Because I saved him, you all died.”
She looked up at the darkening sky and whispered, “I will avenge all of you.”
As soon as the other Duan Yixin said these words, the scene changed. Duan Yixin blinked a few times and found that she was back at the scene where she was burned to death. However, what she found in front of her was not wood or fire but a pile of ashes and burned wood.
Drip… Drip… Drip…
Feeling something cold fall on her cheek, Duan Yixin touched her cheek before raising her head. Soon, heavy rain poured down, soaking the silent surroundings. Under heavy rain, a man searched frantically among piles of charred wood.
Duan Yixin thought for a while before approaching the man. When she saw his face, Duan Yixin’s heart sank.
“Please… You can’t leave me alone, Xin’er. I know you hate me. You can hate me, but you can’t leave me alone! I beg you– don’t abandon me.”
Duan Yixin stiffened when she heard Xuan Ruiquan’s words. She watched his hands bleed as he searched frantically, crying and begging her not to abandon him. The more she watched, the more painful her heart became.
Duan Yixin clenched her hands, took a deep breath, and closed her eyes, “This is all just a dream. This is not real.”
“Are you sure this is not real?”
Duan Yixin was startled when a calm voice came from beside her. She turned to look at the source of the sound and saw a tall man standing next to her. She stared at the man for a long time but could not see his face clearly.
When she still tried to see his face clearly, the man asked again, “Are you sure this is just a dream?”
Hearing this question, Duan Yixin frowned and asked, “How do you know what I am thinking?”

The man smiled and said, “I know a lot of things.”
After saying that, the man pointed at Xuan Ruiquan and asked, “Do you think he is also a part of your dream?”
Duan Yixin didn’t know why he asked this, but she still turned to look at Xuan Ruiquan. Seeing him crying desperately while holding a small piece of charred bone, her heart ached. The man noticed the change in Duan Yixin’s expression and sighed.
