After listening to his explanation, Duan Yixin’s eyes were filled with confusion.

Although she couldn’t remember everything, she knew that she should have died after the missile attack. She even injected the liquid chip into her body. Just these two points were more than enough to convince her that she should be dead now.

Just as Duan Yixin was sorting out her memory and comparing it with reality, the military vehicle stopped in front of a mansion. After the military vehicle came to a complete stop, a middle-aged man in a suit opened the door.

Yu Jingxian carried her directly to the master bedroom and gently placed her on the big bed. He turned to look at the butler and said, “Uncle Su, is the food ready?”

Butler Su smiled, “Yes, Master. Do you want to eat here or in the dining room?”

Yu Jingxian turned to look at Duan Yixin and asked, “Xin’er, do you want to eat here or go to the dining room?”

After staying in the hospital ward for three days, Duan Yixin wanted to see other places, so she said, “Let’s go to the dining room to eat.”

After she made the decision, Butler Su said, “Then I will make the preparation now.”

Yu Jingxian nodded, and Butler Su left the master bedroom. When they were alone in the bedroom, Yu Jingxian asked, “Xin’er, do you want to take a shower first before eating?”

Duan Yixin looked at her clothes and nodded. Before she got out of bed, Yu Jingxian carried her to the bathroom.

Duan Yixin hugged his neck subconsciously and said helplessly, “I can walk by myself.”

Yu Jingxian walked into the bathroom and put her down. He helped her sit in the low chair and said, “You just woke up two days ago, and your body is still very weak. You should not force yourself. Otherwise, you will hurt yourself.”

While talking, Yu Jingxian had already started filling the bathtub with warm water. Duan Yixin watched him go out to help her get clothes and prepare everything for her. After the water was ready, he reached out and undressed her.

Duan Yixin was startled by his sudden movement, grabbed his arms, and said hurriedly, “I, I can do it myself.”

Yu Jingxian stared at her for a moment and said with a hint of smile in his voice, “Xin’er, we are husband and wife. I have seen both what should be seen and what should not be seen.”

Duan Yixin blushed when she heard his words. When she saw the hospital’s examination report, she knew they had done everything a couple should do. But she was still embarrassed to let him help her take a bath.

Yu Jingxian sighed when he saw that her face was redder than an apple. He took off his tie, and Duan Yixin asked in surprise, “What do you want to do?”

Yu Jingxian looked at her with an aggrieved look, pursed his lips, and said, “Xin’er, do you think I would do something to you? I won’t do anything to you without your permission.”

Duan Yixin lowered her eyes and whispered with a hint of guilt in her voice, “That’s not what I meant.”

Seeing her embarrassed and guilty look, Yu Jingxian gently rubbed her red cheeks and said, “I will cover my eyes.”

Before Duan Yixin could react, Yu Jingxian covered his eyes with his tie. After he was done, he skillfully helped her take off her clothes and gently put her into the bathtub. While she looked away in embarrassment, Yu Jingxian carefully washed her hair and body.

Twenty minutes later, he picked her up out of the bathroom and put her on the bed. He helped her dry her hair with a towel and then went back to the bathroom to take a shower. Three minutes later, he came out with only a towel covering his lower body.

Duan Yixin saw the shocking scene, which made her blush, and quickly looked away. Yu Jingxian noticed her reaction and walked toward the cloakroom with a smile on his face. On their way to the dining room, Duan Yixin felt that she had lost ten years of her life.

She leaned on Yu Jingxian’s chest and obediently let him carry her to the dining room. She looked up at him and thought, ‘Did he seduce me on purpose just now?’

Sensing her gaze, Yu Jingxian lowered his head and raised his eyebrows at her. Duan Yixin sighed again and looked away. Entering the dining room, Yu Jingxian gently let her sit on the chair and sat next to her.

Soon, a group of servants brought the food out from the kitchen. Duan Yixin looked at the food spread out on the table, and her eyes widened in surprise. She suddenly recalled those fragmented memories as her hands tightly clenched under the table.

She looked at Yu Jingxian and saw him calmly picking up food for her. He put the plate full of delicious food in front of her and said, “Eat slowly. I asked the chef to prepare some desserts for you. You can eat it after you finish your meal.”
