Chapter 363: Different Reality (3)
Duan Yixin nodded to Yu Jingxian, but her mind was filled with fragments of memories. Once upon a time, she should have been sitting at a table filled with food.
Sitting next to her, Yu Jingxian, dressed in ancient clothes, said, “I have asked the imperial chef to make your favorite dish. From now on, whenever you visit the imperial palace, they will also prepare your favorite pastries.”
Seeing that she didn’t move her chopsticks, Yu Jingxian stopped picking food for her and asked, “Xin’er? Are you feeling unwell?”
Duan Yixin came back to her senses and looked at him. She hesitated and asked, “Jingxian, have we ever been to a place with a pavilion in the middle of the lake? There seemed to be a few people sitting next to us, but I couldn’t remember their faces.”
As soon as Yu Jingxian heard her question, the chopsticks in his hand fell to the table. He grabbed her hands and asked with expectation in his eyes, “Xin’er, have you remembered everything?”
Duan Yixin was startled by his huge reaction and shook her head. “I only remember random things, but those memories are like a broken mirror. It’s not clear, and everything seems chaotic.”
After hearing her explanation, Yu Jingxian’s eyes dimmed slightly. Seeing this, Duan Yixin held his hand back and said, “I will remember everything as soon as possible. You… don’t be sad, alright?”
Yu Jingxian shook his head and smiled at her. “Don’t force yourself. We still have a lot of time together. Just let those memories come back naturally.”
Duan Yixin stared at him for a long time and whispered, “Mhm, thank you, Jingxian.”
Yu Jingxian sighed and said, “Let’s eat before the food cools down. After eating, I will help you plant the seed.”
Duan Yixin nodded, and Yu Jingxian continued to serve her the food. After their late breakfast, Yu Jingxian took her to the greenhouse and planted the small seed together.
Sitting on a low stool in front of the flowerbed, Duan Yixin prayed in her heart, ‘Please grow up healthily.’
Next to her, Yu Jingxian looked at the small mound in the flowerbed with an unreadable expression.
Coming out of the greenhouse, Yu Jingxian pushed Duan Yixin’s wheelchair and said, “Xin’er, I still have something to do, and I will be back later to have dinner with you. I have asked Uncle Su to accompany you. Do you need me to bring you something?”
Duan Yixin thought for a moment and nodded, “I can spend some time reading books later.”
Yu Jingxian nodded and took her to the library. Opening the door, Duan Yixin saw the library filled with a lot of books. She looked around the library and roughly estimated that there were at least thousands of books in it.
Yu Jingxian pushed her around the library, introduced her to the arrangement of books, and then gave her a small silver bell.
He knelt before her and said, “Xin’er, you can ring this bell and call the servant. If you need anything else, just tell Uncle Su. He will arrange it for you.”
Duan Yixin took the silver bell and nodded, “All right.”
After putting away the silver bell, she found that Yu Jingxian was still staring at her and said, “If you are busy, just leave. I will be fine with Uncle Su and the servants here.”
He glanced at his watch and knew he couldn’t delay any longer. He kissed her cheek and said, “I will be back as soon as I’m done with the work.”
“Mhm.”
After kissing her again, Yu Jingxian reluctantly left. Duan Yixin waved at him with a smile on her lips and waited until he closed the door before she controlled the wheelchair and moved toward the history book area.
On her way back from the hospital, Duan Yixin had already noticed that the current reality was really different from her memories. Unlike her original world, where conflict between nations was at its peak, the current world seemed to be peaceful.
She needs to learn the history of this world to understand the difference between the current world and the world in her memory.
While Duan Yixin was busy checking history books, Yu Jingxian was already on his way to the military prison. On the way, he read the report prepared by his adjutant.
The adjutant sat in the passenger seat and said, “Commander, that woman insists that she is not targeting Madam. She just wants to ensure that the peace treaty between the countries fails.”
Yu Jingxian sneered and closed the report. He gave the report to the adjutant and said, “Let them know that I want to talk to her.”
“Yes, Commander.” The adjutant took the report and made a call.
Not long after, the military vehicle drove into the military prison compound. When they saw the incoming military vehicle, the prisoners immediately stopped their activities and quickly lined up. After the military vehicle drove away, the prisoners breathed a sigh of relief and continued to move freely.

A few minutes later, the driver parked the military vehicle at the main entrance. The adjutant stepped out of the car and opened the door for Yu Jingxian. Seeing him come out from the vehicle, the general in charge of the military prison and his subordinates saluted him.
“Commander Yu.”
Yu Jingxian returned the greeting and walked into the prison, followed by a group of soldiers.
“Where is she?” Yu Jingxian asked while walking along the long corridor.
The general led the way and answered, “I have moved her to the interrogation room. Commander, please come this way.”
Ten minutes later, the general opened the interrogation room and stepped aside. Yu Jingxian looked at him and said, “No one is allowed to come in without my permission.”
The general nodded at him, “Yes, Commander.”
After Yu Jingxian entered the interrogation room, the general closed the door and stood outside with a few soldiers. The general himself guarded the door, and no one dared to disturb Yu Jingxian.
