He knelt before her and said, “Xin’er, you can ring this bell and call the servant. If you need anything else, just tell Uncle Su. He will arrange it for you.”

After putting away the silver bell, she found that Yu Jingxian was still staring at her and said, “If you are busy, just leave. I will be fine with Uncle Su and the servants here.”

He glanced at his watch and knew he couldn’t delay any longer. He kissed her cheek and said, “I will be back as soon as I’m done with the work.”

After kissing her again, Yu Jingxian reluctantly left. Duan Yixin waved at him with a smile on her lips and waited until he closed the door before she controlled the wheelchair and moved toward the history book area.

Ten minutes later, the general opened the interrogation room and stepped aside. Yu Jingxian looked at him and said, “No one is allowed to come in without my permission.”

The general nodded at him, “Yes, Commander.”

After Yu Jingxian entered the interrogation room, the general closed the door and stood outside with a few soldiers. The general himself guarded the door, and no one dared to disturb Yu Jingxian.
