Chapter 365: Three Months
After dealing with Liang Jiaying, Yu Jingxian returned home. When he got home, he asked Butler Su, “Where is my wife?”

Butler Su took his coat and said, “Madam is still reading in the library.”

Yu Jingxian glanced at his watch and frowned slightly.

“Prepare dinner.”

Butler Su hung up his coat and said, “Yes, Master.”

After taking a shower to wash away the smell of blood, Yu Jingxian went to the library to find Duan Yixin. When he arrived, he saw her buried in a pile of books.

“Xin’er, it’s time for you to rest.” He said as he walked up to her.

Duan Yixin raised her eyes from the book and rubbed her sore eyes. She looked at him with a smile, “Welcome home, Jingxian. What time is it now?”

“It’s already seven o’clock in the evening.”

Yu Jingxian sat on the floor next to her, glancing at the titles of the books piled on the carpeted floor. Seeing that they were all history books, he asked, “Do you only read history books?”

Duan Yixin nodded, “Yes. I think reading history books can help me recall some of my memories.”

“Take it easy. You should rest when you are tired.”

He sat next to her and watched her read, lost in thought. Not long after, someone knocked on the door, and Yu Jingxian came back to his senses.

“Come in.”

The door opened, and Butler Su said, “Master, dinner is ready.”

Yu Jingxian nodded to him and took the book from Duan Yixin’s hand, “Enough reading for today. Let’s eat first.”

Duan Yixin wanted to protest, but when she saw him looking at her calmly, she sighed and nodded. Yu Jingxian smiled at her and then picked her up from the ground. He helped her into the wheelchair, and they went to dinner.

After eating, Yu Jingxian helped her take a bath, and the two decided to take a rest early. That night, Duan Yixin had another dream.

In the dream world, Heavenly Dao is sitting around the white jade table. Seeing Duan Yixin appear, he smiled and poured the freshly brewed tea into two teacups. Heavenly Dao saw her standing there with a blank look on her face and smiled at her.

“My child, come and take a seat. Today, Nuwa gave me a new type of tea leaf. I’m just brewing a pot for us. Come and try it.”

Duan Yixin turned to look at him, and her forgotten memories slowly came back. Twenty seconds later, she walked up to him and sat across from him.

“Thank you.”

Heavenly Dao raised his eyebrows and asked curiously, “Why are you thanking me?”

Duan Yixin took a sip of tea and said, “I have forgotten many things, but I remembered them the moment I came here.”

Heavenly Dao nodded with a gentle smile on his lips, “It’s understandable. Your soul has just experienced the heavy pressure of time and space, so it is normal to forget many things.”

After drinking the tea, Duan Yixin’s headache slowly disappeared.

“You invited me here, not just to help me recover my memory, right?” Duan Yixin asked, putting down the empty teacup.

Heavenly Dao nodded and asked, “Have you planted the seed?”

“Yes.”

“How is that seed’s condition?” He asked again.

Duan Yixin stared at him for a few seconds before saying, “Nothing happened yet. I just planted the seed at noon.”

Looking at his calm expression, Duan Yixin thought for a moment and asked, “Do you have anything to tell me?”

Heavenly Dao was silent for a few seconds before saying, “You have three months to let the seeds grow to the height of heaven.”

“….” Hearing this, Duan Yixin speechlessly looked at Heavenly Dao.

Noticing her gaze, Heavenly Dao smiled helplessly at her and said, “It’s not that I don’t want to give you more time, but you really don’t have time.”

After speaking, he waved his hand, and a Mirror of Time appeared next to the white jade table.

“See for yourself.”

Duan Yixin looked at the Mirror of Time and saw a spacious bedroom. She took a closer look and hesitantly asked, “Isn’t that General Xuan’s bedroom?”

Heavenly Dao did not answer her question and drank tea calmly. Duan Yixin glanced at him and then looked at the Mirror of Time. She looked for a while and then saw two people lying on the big bed.

She took a closer look and realized that those two people were her and Xuan Ruiquan, who were lying side by side on the bed.

Lying on the outer side of the bed, Xuan Ruiquan’s right hand held her left hand, and the two of them seemed to be sleeping deeply. Duan Yixin stared at the Mirror of Time for a long time but found nothing else.

She turned to look at Heavenly Dao and asked, “Which timeline is this?”

Heavenly Dao replied calmly, “The current timeline.”

Duan Yixin was confused after receiving his answer. “Huh? Didn’t I return to my original world? How could I still be in that world? Could that woman be the original Duan Yixin?”

Heavenly Dao shook his head, “That is an empty shell.”

As soon as these words came out, Duan Yixin turned back to the Mirror of Time in surprise and stared at Xuan Ruiquan inside the mirror. She clenched her hands tightly until her fingertips turned white, and her lips trembled slightly.

“General Xuan… He…”

“Just as you guessed. He went after you and came to your original world.” Heavenly Dao finished what she didn’t dare to say.

Duan Yixin looked at him and asked, with a hint of anger in her voice, “Why? Why is he chasing after me?”

Heavenly Dao stared at her and sighed, “Are you really asking that because you don’t know?”

When he asked this question, Duan Yixin recalled the warm rain and fell into silence. She didn’t need Heavenly Dao to tell her the answer since she already knew it.
