Chapter 144: Aurora on A Mission

Aurora couldn’t tell if Xander was truly mad at her or not, but one thing was sure, she wasn’t trying to bruise his ego.

“I think I made a mistake trying to pass the message,” she quickly said. “You definitely don’t need any enhancer to satisfy me as you’ve been doing a good job since we got married.”

“Then, what’s the use for this enhancer?” Xander narrowed his eyes as he pointed at the glass cup at the table without shifting his gaze.

Aurora’s gaze followed his finger to the spot he pointed at before moving back to his face. “I was just trying an experiment.” Just then, a thought came to her mind and immediately she added, “Besides, I made the smoothie for myself, you are the one who grabbed the glass from my hand to drink from it.”

Xander straightened his back. Since she put it this way, he had no reason to blame her anymore. It’s not like she made the smoothie for him in the first place.

“Sweetheart, can you tell me what sort of experiment you are trying to carry out?” He inquired in a relaxed tone as he reached for his necktie to unfasten it, suddenly feeling suffocated.

Aurora got off the bed with a small smile on her lips. “Just take it that I’m tasting the waters.” As soon as she said that, she stepped forward and circled her arms around his neck, forcing him to meet her gaze.

Xander naturally wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in. “I need to shower first,” he said, his gaze softening.

“I know,” she mumbled to his hearing as her gaze lingered on his face for a moment before her hands moved to the collar of his striped shirt to start undoing the buttons. “I will just help you out of your clothes,” she added, biting her lower lips provocatively as her soft gaze returned to his face.

A deep sigh escaped Xander’s lips as her fingers worked on his shirt all the way down to the hem. When she was done unbuttoning it, she helped him out of it and dumped it on the edge of the bed before placing a palm on his bare chest.

Immediately, the warmth from his chest seeped into her palms. The smile on her lips reached her eyes as she slowly caressed his chest with both palms, enjoying the firmness of his sexy upper body and Xander’s hold around her chest tightened.

“You look like you are on a mission,” Xander mumbled as he leaned in towards her ear. His warm breath sprayed on her neck, giving her a tickling sensation. Instantly, a hearty chuckle escaped her lips.

“Of course, I am,” Aurora admitted amidst a chuckle as she leaned backward slightly, giving him access to her neck. And without wasting a second, Xander leaned in to brush his lips against the length of her neck, leaving light-fluttering kisses.

“Would I do anything to you without a reason?” she added as her eyes lit up like the stars in the night sky.

Xander lifted his head for a moment to stare at her face. “I didn’t know when you became so spoilt, can you educate me?” he beckoned on her. “You don’t usually make the move. Where did you learn to do this?”

Aurora tilted her head to the side, pretending to think about it before replying, “I learned from you.”

“That can’t be true.” As soon as he said that, he buried his face in her neck, kissing, biting, and kicking every spot.

Aurora giggled and pushed herself against him with her arms pressed firmly on his biceps.

Xander trailed gentle kisses from her neckline and down to her chest before burying his face there. He sniffed her soft vanilla and lavender fragrance and inhaled sharply before lifting his gaze to meet hers.

“I have to shower, then we can have dinner together,” he said, pressing soft kisses on her lips.

“Huh?” Aurora’s eyes flashed with disappointment. She refused to let him go as she let her gaze pass a silent message.

Knowing the thoughts in her head, Xander kissed her softly and pulled her lower lip before releasing it. Looking her in the eye, he explained, “We will have time for other things later. We both need the energy if we plan to stay up all night.”

“Who’s staying up all night with you?” Aurora asked as she escaped from his arms. “I only plan to have fun.”

“And we can have fun staying up all night,” Xander suggested as a smirk appeared on his lips. “I will help you taste the waters.”

Aurora laughed at his teasing and went back to sit on the bed. “I can’t believe a dangerous secret service agent is talking about tasting the waters with me. Your sense of humor is getting better. All thanks to me.”

“Yes, all thanks to you.” Xander smiled. “Sweetheart, I’m going to take a quick shower now. I don’t mind if you join me, but just note that it’s going to end with slamming your back against the wall and taking you in that position.”

Aurora refused him. She could remember how he fucked her brains out the last time. Though he messed her up, she still enjoyed every aspect of it.

“Go take a shower and I will make sure there is more smoothie left,” she said and got up from the bed. Smiling at him, she slipped out of the room as fast as her legs could carry her.

She had wanted to kiss him on the cheek before leaving, but afraid that he might change his mind and grab her arm to drag her into the bathroom, she changed her mind.

Xander took a quick shower and changed into something casual before joining Aurora at the dining table.

“How many children does the Major have?” Aurora asked as soon as Xander settled at the head table.

A glint of surprise flashed across Xander’s eyes. He hadn’t expected a serious conversation at this moment. Regardless, his countenance changed in tune with the mood.
