Chapter 187: A Slight to His Person
“What?!” Olivia exclaimed as the whispers from onlookers grew. She didn’t even care that she was causing a scene and being recorded on camera.
After reaching the point where she felt her life was over—losing her reputation, being betrayed and disrespected by her husband countless times, and losing her champagne production, among other things —Olivia felt that there was no need to keep pretending.
There was no longer any zeal to play games again after reaching this path, so she only wanted to drag Aurora down with her.
“Who the hell are you? Do you know who I am?” Olivia asked as she struggled to look back to see Liam’s face, but he didn’t give her the opportunity.
On the other hand, one of the security guards paid heed to Liam’s instructions and pulled out his phone when Aurora stopped him.
“It’s okay,” she said, silencing everyone and bringing the attention back to herself. “I won’t press charges,” she added with her gaze on Liam.
She needed to know that he understood her message.
After saying her piece, Aurora bypassed Olivia who looked dumbstruck and went her way. But as soon as Olivia regained her composure, she started hurling insults at Aurora.
“What are you feeling like? Do you think you are doing me a favour? I dare you to lock me up and see what will happen to you in return!”
The murmuring and whisperings increased as the small crowd that had gathered watched Olivia’s crazy display with disbelief written all over their face.
They were shocked that someone of her calibre could act hysterically and try to launch a physical attack on her own sister and couldn’t help commenting on it.
Woman 1; “It turns out that what Tea Time Gossip blog has been saying about her is true.”
Woman 2; “I can’t believe that I had to say this scene for myself to understand that this woman is indeed a chameleon.”
Woman 3; “Didn’t she claim to have a good relationship with her sister?”
Man 1; “It’s unfortunate that the Swift family has turned into a laughing stock, and the situation has gotten worse since Mr. Swift’s passing.
Man 2; “Vintage Cellar’s stock is sure to fall in two days if this news gets out.”
Man 3; “The new head of the Swift family has a duty to lead her members for a reality check otherwise, they will be heading for doom.”
Woman 4; “After seeing this scene today, all I can say is that Olivia needs a complete mental checkup. She doesn’t look okay to me.”

On the other hand, Liam handed Owen to the two security guards next to them as more gathered to displace the crowd causing a commotion.
Finally, Olivia saw Liam’s face during this opportunity and called him out for holding her back.
“Do you know that I can sue you for assault?” She asked as she watched him with a hard glare.
Sadly for her, Liam couldn’t bother with the likes of her and focused on trying to get everyone who took videos of the scene to delete them.
He had to address them respectfully but firmly regarding recording Aurora without authorization. Lastly, he pleaded with them to erase the clips.
Luckily, some of Xander’s security detail arrived at the scene to help out and ensure that everyone deleted the clips of the scene from their phone.
Although Olivia was relieved with that move since no gossip blog would be able to paint her black with no piece of evidence from today, she still couldn’t help getting mad knowing that Liam worked for Aurora.
“Aurora must be very proud and comfortable playing the role of Mrs. Scott, having people at her beck and call to solve her situation. But let’s see for how long she can remain, Mrs. Scott,” Olivia mumbled to herself as her furious gaze watched the men in black suits doing their job while she was still being held captive by the company’s security guards.”
Unknown to Olivia, Stephanie had gotten a report of the incident that happened in the lobby and was currently investigating it herself.
After Stephanie was done, she balled her fists, trying to hide her rage.

“Let Director Olivia Swift know that I would like to have a word with her before she leaves this premises today,” Stephanie instructed her personal assistant.
“Yes, Chairwoman,” the young man replied with a polite bow before stepping out of the surveillance room.

Aurora was far too pissed by the time she reached Xander’s car, so much so that she almost didn’t want to utter a word to him.
Although she wasn’t the one who caused trouble, she was still dragged into the mess Olivia started.
As Xander watched Aurora approaching his car, his brows furrowed slightly seeing the deep frown on her face. And before she could close in, he opened the car door and stepped out.
“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?’ he asked, examining her to check if she was unharmed as he opened his arms for her, gesturing for her to come to him.
When Aurora stopped in front of him, she studied his face for a moment. Depicting the worry hanging there, she let out a deep breath, dispersing her anger.
“Olivia caused a scene a while ago and dragged into it as onlookers watched. But Liam is taking care of it,” she explained.
“Wait a minute.” Xander’s gaze darkened as he looked past her shoulders “You mean Olivia made trouble for you while I was here waiting for you?”
Xander was in disbelief at the audacity Olivia had to even try and touch his wife even if she had no idea that he was right outside the building.
“Did she touch you?” Xander asked, narrowing his gaze as the air around him changed to something more sinister.
Seeing how furious he was even though he hadn’t witnessed the drama for himself, Aurora released a soft sigh and grabbed him by the arm.
“Yes, she did, but I wasn’t hurt. But like I said, Liam is handling the situation, so you don’t have anything to worry about.”
Xander felt like he had everything to worry about but first and foremost, he had to take a good at his wife to ensure that she was okay as she said.
He took a good look at her face and her arms, places where her skin showed to see the spot Olivia had touched her.
When Aurora realised what he was doing, she hurriedly explained, “She only slapped my upper arm and didn’t get to do anything else before Liam appeared.”
A nerve wrecked in Xander’s lower jaw. Words were already at the tip of his tongue, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it.
He put one hand on his waist and turned around, trying to mask the cloud of anger that was brooding inside of him.
Someone dared to touch his wife in his presence and he was to let her get away with it? Never!
Aurora’s anger completely disappeared seeing that her husband was more furious than she was.
Even the scene of him killing those men her stepmother had sent to monitor her one time, replayed in her head.
Those men hadn’t touched a hair of her body and had merely kept a watch on her but he ended up wasting their life, so she had every right to be afraid that Xander would make the same move on Olivia.
After all, Olivia’s cup has been long full. And if it wasn’t for her trying to get revenge at her own pace, Xander would have done it his own way.
“Darling, I said I’m fine. Olivia is mentally unstable after the depressing mess she put herself in. And like I said, Liam will take care of her,” Aurora said, grabbing Xander’s left arm.
Feeling her hold on him, Xander slowly turned back around to face her. “Fine, I will let Liam take of it as you said. We will press charges this evening and let our lawyers…”
Xander was still talking about suing Olivia for physical assault when Aurora shook her head, dismissing that idea.
“Darling, I don’t want to be on those gossip blogs alongside Olivia’s drama. I know it’s in line to punish her for what she did today with so many witnesses, I don’t want to go that path.”
Xander listened to his wife speak about letting her assaulter off and fumed. Olivia’s actions were a slight to his personality.
How could anyone dare to touch his wife knowing who she was without thinking of the consequences that would follow?
And given the history of Olivia’s bullying against his wife, there was no way he was going to listen to Aurora on this one.
“Sweetheart, I respect your decision,” he said, placing both palms on her shoulders as he leaned in to fix his gaze on her. “But not on this one. Without a doubt, I’m so going to take those fingers she used to shove you,” he stated as something dark brewed in his eyes.
