Chapter 332: Olivia Reveals Her Secret Abortion to Owen
TWO DAYS LATER…
The room was quiet, save for the soft clinking of a spoon against porcelain as Juliet slowly ate her porridge. Her movements were weak, her body still recovering from the surgery, but she was determined to eat for the sake of her child.
Owen sat beside her, watching her carefully, his face unreadable. The stress of the past few days was evident in the dark circles under his eyes, his usual sharp demeanour dulled by exhaustion and worry.
Just then, there was a knock on the door before it swung open. And the doctor entered, his expression grim.
Owen and Juliet immediately sensed that something was wrong.
The doctor hesitated for a second before speaking. “Mr. Owen, Mrs. Juliet…” He took a deep breath. “I’m very sorry, but despite our best efforts… your son didn’t make it.”
For a moment, there was silence. A deafening, unbearable silence.
Owen’s entire body went rigid. His fingers curled into fists, his jaw clenching as he squeezed his eyes shut. He didn’t want to hear those words. He wanted to unhear them. This couldn’t be happening.
Juliet’s spoon clattered onto the tray. Her lips parted in shock, and then suddenly, she let out a bloodcurdling scream. “NO!”
She thrashed, trying to get out of the hospital bed. “I want to see my baby! I want to see my son!”
“Madam, please calm down!” A nurse rushed forward to restrain her, while another gently pressed her shoulders down.
“Let me go!” Juliet sobbed hysterically. “Where is my child?! Let me see my baby!”
“Juliet, stop,” Owen’s voice was hoarse, but firm.
She turned to him, her tear-filled eyes burning with grief and rage. “Owen, you can’t let this happen! Our baby…” She grabbed his arm, her grip surprisingly strong. “You must take revenge on that woman! That murderer! Olivia killed our son!”
Her words stabbed into his soul like a dagger.
Owen didn’t hesitate. He placed his hand over hers and promised her. “I will make Olivia pay.”
With that, he turned and walked out of the room, his fists trembling with pure, unfiltered rage.
—
As soon as Owen stepped into the corridor, his parents spotted him. Patricia and Richard’s nerves have been stretched thin as they have been going in and out of the hospital these past few days.
Patricia stood immediately, eyes full of worry. “Owen?”
Owen exhaled sharply, rubbing his forehead. “My son is gone.”
Patricia’s entire body stiffened. She sucked in a shaky breath, squeezing her eyes shut as her hands curled into tight fists.
Richard lowered his head, grief flashing across his face.
The next second, Patricia’s eyes flew open, burning with fury. But before she could say a word, Owen was already walking away.
“Where are you going?” she demanded.
Owen didn’t stop, and he didn’t even look back. “To see that witch who killed my son.”
—
The air inside the police station was heavy with tension as Owen was led to the holding room where Olivia sat, dressed in a standard detention uniform.
She sat back, arms crossed, her expression unreadable as Owen slammed the door behind him.
For a moment, he just stared at her, his eyes burning with pure hatred.

Then, through clenched teeth, he asked, “Are you happy now?”
Olivia raised a brow, feigning confusion. “Happy about what?”
Owen’s hands slammed down on the metal table between them, making Olivia flinch slightly. “You killed my son, Olivia!” His voice was filled with venom. “Are you satisfied now? Was this the revenge you wanted?”
Olivia scoffed, leaning back in her chair. “Oh, so now you’re looking for someone to blame for your misfortune?” She smirked, tilting her head. “How predictable.”
Owen’s nostrils flared. “Cut the crap, Olivia! We both know how wicked your heart is. You pushed Juliet down those stairs because you couldn’t stand to see me happy! You wanted to punish me for keeping her as my mistress while we were still married, and then marrying her weeks after divorcing you!”
Olivia let out a mocking laugh—a sound that only made Owen’s blood boil more.
She met his gaze, her eyes cold. “You must be delusional if you think I care about who you marry or when you marry them. I couldn’t care less about you or that mistress of yours.” She leaned forward, voice dripping with mockery. “Take your pain and your pathetic frustrations elsewhere because I’m not in the mood to entertain your nonsense.”
Owen’s fingers curled into fists. His body was shaking with barely restrained fury. “I swear on my son’s grave, Olivia, I will make sure you rot in prison for this. And not just you—I will bring your entire family down with you.”
At that, Olivia’s smirk vanished.
Her eyes darkened, but she remained eerily calm. “Tell me something, Owen,” she said, tapping a perfectly manicured finger against the table. “Did that bitch of a wife of yours tell you that I pushed her?”
Owen’s gaze sharpened. “Watch your mouth.”
Olivia smirked. “Oh, I hit a nerve?” She sat back, shrugging. “Well, let me tell you this—I shouldn’t have to explain myself to an idiot like you, but I will, just this once: I. Didn’t. Push. Juliet.”
Owen shook his head, letting out a bitter chuckle. “You’re only denying it because you don’t want to go to prison. But trust me, Olivia. You’re done.”
Olivia remained silent for a long moment, studying him. Then, with a slow, deliberate smirk, she uttered the words that made Owen’s world crash.
“If I really wanted to kill your child, Owen, I would’ve done it the same way I killed ours.”
Owen’s breath hitched. His entire body froze.
His face paled. His heart stopped.
“What… did you just say?” he whispered, his voice shaking.
Olivia’s smirk widened. “Oh? You never figured it out?” She tilted her head. “I caused my own miscarriage. I took abortion pills every single day and then conveniently let you take the blame for it. And you? You were stupid enough to fall for it when you pushed me at the club—for this same Juliet.”
Owen staggered back, his hands gripping the edge of the table as his vision blurred.
The truth was like a dagger straight to his chest. He had spent so long blaming himself silently.
So long believing he was the reason their child died. And now… this?
“You…” He swallowed, his voice weak. “You killed your own child?”
Olivia didn’t hesitate. “When a woman gets pregnant by a bastard, she has to remove it to stop the child from inheriting the stupidity.”
Owen’s eyes flashed with pure rage. He felt like strangling her.
“You… are a monster.” His voice was deadly low. “God will punish you.”
Olivia smirked. “Oh? So it’s God who will punish me now? Not you?”
Owen clenched his jaw, shaking with fury while Olivia laughed hysterically.
But the moment Owen stormed out, her laughter disappeared. Her heart raced and her smirk faded.
She knew Owen meant every word. And if she didn’t find a way out of this mess soon, she really would rot in jail, especially given the fact that she wasn’t ready to pay that thief, Victor half a million dollars.
