Chapter 344: The Face Behind Tea Time Gossip Blog
Several Months Later…
Aurora stood in the kitchen, whisking the twins’ cereal with firm determination. The transition from breastfeeding had been a nightmare. Chloe and Zoe had already started walking—surely, they were old enough to let go of her.
Or so she thought.
“Mummy,” Chloe babbled, her tiny hands clutching at Aurora’s legs as she tried to pull herself up.
Aurora groaned. “This girl, leave me alone. Go to your brother.”
Chloe ignored her and instead latched onto her leg, resting her cheek against it like a stubborn little koala.
With a sigh, Aurora finished preparing their cereal and turned around. She picked Chloe up and placed her in her high chair, strapping her in.
The instant she did, Chloe’s face crumpled, and she let out a loud wail.
Aurora closed her eyes, muttering a prayer for patience.
Turning to Zoe, who was sitting on the floor, happily smacking a spoon against the tiles, she sighed again. “At least one of you is behaving.”
She lifted him, and Zoe giggled, his chubby hands grabbing at her hair.
“That’s my boy,” she praised, placing him in his high chair.
Just then, Nene entered with their water bottles, placing them next to their plates. “Ma’am, everything is set.”
Aurora nodded and placed the twins’ bowls in front of them. “Alright, eat up.”
Zoe looked at his food, then at Aurora. “Milk,” he said, pointing at her chest.
Aurora’s jaw clenched. “No, Zoe. Eat first.”
Zoe shook his head. “Milk.”
Aurora exhaled through her nose. “Zoe, you have teeth now. Do you know how painful it is when you—”
Before she could finish, Chloe stretched out her arms towards her. “Mama…” she whimpered.
“Eat first, then I will give you milk,” Aurora bargained.
Chloe’s lips trembled. Then, without warning, she smacked her milk bottle off the table, sending it crashing to the floor.
Nene gasped. Aurora’s eye twitched. Then Chloe stopped crying immediately.
Zoe turned to her, blinking in confusion. Then, as if realizing that crying meant getting what he wanted, he joined in.
Aurora pressed her fingers to her temples. I need a vacation.
Nene, suppressing a chuckle, knelt to clean the mess. “Ma’am, maybe you should just breastfeed them.”
“I refuse,” Aurora declared. “They need to let me go.”
At that moment, Xander walked into the kitchen, his deep frown making his disapproval clear. The cries of his children only made it worse.
“Sweetheart, what’s going on?”
Aurora pointed at the twins. “Your kids are terrorists.”
Zoe and Chloe turned their tearful eyes to their father, their cries growing louder as they stretched their hands towards him.

Xander sighed and lifted them effortlessly, balancing each in one arm. Their cries softened instantly, but their sniffles continued.
Aurora folded her arms. “They don’t want to eat. They just want to suckle.”
Xander stared at her like it wasn’t a big deal. “Then give them what they want.”
“They bite me when I do that.”
Xander’s lips parted, but before he could speak, Aurora added, “Or did you forget how sore they were last night when you—”
Nene spun around, biting her lip to stop herself from laughing.
Xander cleared his throat, avoiding her gaze. “We will… negotiate… some other time.”
Zoe and Chloe sniffled as if sensing betrayal.
Xander turned to Nene. “Bring their breakfast to the living room. Asher’s here. He will help me feed them.”
Chloe and Zoe instantly started wailing again.
Xander sighed, pressing a kiss to their foreheads. “Shh. Daddy will fix this.”
As he left, Aurora slumped into a chair. “I am so done.”
After Nene left with the bowls of cereal, Aurora’s phone rang. She grabbed it from the counter and saw Abigail’s name. Swiping to answer, she placed the phone on speaker.
“Tell me you have a solution for twin weaning,” Aurora said immediately.
Abigail laughed. “I take it the little angels are giving you a hard time?”
Aurora scoffed. “They’re trying to take over their father’s entire property. My body included.”
Abigail chuckled. “As much as I love them, I agree. They need to start paying rent.”
Aurora shook her head, smiling. “Xander deserves this. Now he can’t touch me until my nipples heal.” At least their father is not left out on the misery.
Abigail burst into laughter. “Serves him right.”
Changing the subject, Abigail reminded her about their appointment to shop for the twins’ first birthday party.
“I remember,” Aurora said. “I will meet you at 1 PM.”
“Good. I just need to escort my mother to buy some cookware; then I will be there.”
Before ending the call, Aurora casually mentioned, “Oh, by the way, Asher’s here, helping Xander feed the twins.”
Abigail grinned. “Good. He needs the practice for when we have our own kids.”
—
Dressed in a chic jumpsuit, Abigail slipped her phone into her bag and called out, “Mom, are you ready?”
No answer.
Curious, she walked into her mother’s room only to see her laptop open on the bed.
She reached for it, intending to close it, but a document on the screen caught her eye.
The words made her heart stop.

One month after Abigail and Asher’s wedding, Aurora launched her foundation.
Aurora took a deep breath as she stood on the podium, her gaze sweeping across the audience. With a warm but steady voice, she began her speech.
“There was a time in my life when I longed for acceptance—when I believed that my worth was tied to the approval of those who were supposed to love me unconditionally. But life has taught me an invaluable lesson: our past does not define us—our future does.”
“To every abandoned child out there, to every soul who has ever felt unwanted or unseen, hear me when I say this—you are not your circumstances. You are not the choices of those who left you behind.
You are your own strength, your own resilience, your own limitless potential. And that is why this foundation exists—to remind every child that they are loved, valued, and worthy of a future filled with hope.”
“Though my biological father never accepted me, I have long stopped seeking validation from the past. Instead, I choose to honour the love of the man who raised me, Adam Swift—his kindness will always live on in my heart.
And today, I stand here not just as Aurora Swift-Scott but as a woman determined to ensure that no child ever feels abandoned or forgotten.”
“To my incredible husband, Xander, who has been my rock, to our beautiful twin children, and to every friend, family member, and supporter who has stood by my side—thank you.
Your love, your belief in me, and your unwavering support have given me the strength to turn this vision into reality. I love and appreciate you all.
And to every child, this foundation will help—your story is just beginning. The world is waiting for you to shine.”
“Thank you.”
