Chapter 114: Chapter 114 – Begging to See Valerie
Alpha Tristan was rather delighted to hear about Alpha Denzel’s visit. He planned to go to the Evergreen pack to beg Alpha Denzel to allow him to have a word with Valerie, but this was even better.

He went to look for Scarlet on the patio where she was having a luxurious breakfast with her friends. Scarlet knew how to enjoy the best delicacies in the pack. She took time with beauty treatments, helping herself to delicious and healthy food to make her skin brighter.

She was always determined that what her elder sister Valerie got naturally, she would work towards achieving. Valerie was naturally gifted with beauty, intelligence, and strength. Scarlet knew she was nowhere near, so the only thing she could do was devote more time to herself.

Ever since becoming Luna, all this was easy as Alpha Tristan did all the work, while she focused on enhancing her beauty. Who knew if he found someone prettier? He might just stop loving her and fall in love with that person.

Since they were not fated mates, Scarlet was always reminded of the saddening ‘what ifs.’ Sadly, she didn’t know how to rule a pack and would not be able to take his authority away if a breakup happened. As such, she had to make herself irresistible, her body being her greatest asset.

“Scarlet, Alpha Denzel is here to see you. What did you do?” Alpha Tristan barged into her breakfast buffet and asked.

“Nothing,” Scarlet responded with a frown. Then she panicked. She hadn’t heard from the rogues she sent to the Evergreen pack. However, the attack was against Valerie, so Alpha Denzel wouldn’t care, right? After all, he rejected her.

“Are you sure? He seems upset.” Alpha Tristan did not believe that she was innocent, since Alpha Denzel would never move without a reason. There was nothing to fancy about Scarlet to make him pay her a casual visit. Scarlet feared a little from Alpha Tristan’s questioning gaze.

“I…” her words stuck in her throat when a strong punch sent her to the floor. Her friends scattered at the sight of the furious Alpha Denzel. Scarlet had fallen over the table, covered in fresh salmon, olives, veggies, and other delicacies she deemed very healthy for her skin before rolling to the floor.

Alpha Tristan’s heart sank to see Alpha Denzel attack his Luna like that but was too afraid to act at the moment, wondering what warranted Alpha Denzel to do this. He wasn’t known to be irrational.

Lowering himself elegantly to her level, Alpha Denzel’s fingers wrapped around her neck as he lifted her up. His wintry voice and cold glare caused her to shiver.

“The next time you have a problem with your sister, make sure it has nothing to do with trespassing my pack. Now where is Alessia?”

Alpha Denzel could not let it be known that he was revenging on behalf of Valerie, rather seizing the opportunity to use Alessia as bait. He let go of his grip and she fell violently on the floor, coughing harshly.

“Alpha,” Alpha Tristan was about to hold Alpha Denzel’s hand to stop him when he received a punch on his face. He almost fell but managed to stabilize himself to avoid embarrassment since some of his warriors were already assembled.

However, they could only wait for their Alpha’s command before making any move to strike.

“Don’t touch me next time,” Alpha Denzel said coldly before turning back to Scarlet. “Answer me,” he snarled.

He wanted to end her life, but that was only up to Valerie. Then again, he couldn’t let it show that he harbored a grudge against them for what they did to Valerie. If that happened, they might escape before Valerie had a chance to take revenge.

Scarlet was only now understanding the depth of her actions. Her attack might have been towards Valerie, but for as long as she was at the Evergreen pack, she was protected by the rules. Rogues were not allowed into the pack to attack anyone.

She lacked the understanding that Alpha Denzel was getting back at her for bringing rogues to his pack, not because they were sent to attack Valerie. However, the name Alessia did not ring a bell to her as she wasn’t concerned about the changes in the pack.

“I don’t know, I swear it. I don’t even know who that is,” she said through violent coughs. Alpha Denzel saw her as an enemy and did not feel bad to hit her. If it was a war, there was nothing like male or female. All that mattered was victory.

From the look in Scarlet’s eyes, he knew that she had nothing to do with Alessia’s disappearance. Most probably, it was just a coincidence that both Alpha Conrad and Scarlet struck at the same time.

“Let’s just say that I choose to believe you, but if you do what you did again, I would kill you and burn down this pack.” He punched her on the face once more, her gaze blurred, and she fell unconscious as Alpha Denzel walked out the same way he came.

No one dared to stand in his way. Alpha Tristan did not understand anything that just happened but could not let Alpha Denzel leave without giving him an update to speak to Valerie.

“Alpha Denzel, you might be strong, but you are just one man. You can’t take down the whole pack,” Alpha Tristan yelled behind Alpha Denzel. The latter turned around to face him.

“You must have some confidence to think that all your pack members are loyal to you. There are traitors everywhere, and your pack isn’t an exception. You wanna fight?” Alpha Denzel daringly asked.

At this moment, he was out of his mind and didn’t care if he had to eliminate the whole pack. Those three women were untouchable, and one had just disappeared. He wasn’t going to take it lying down.

Alpha Tristan stared at his warriors gathered around who were already shivering from fear. Alpha Denzel carried death with him, and the pack was too broke to attack him as a lot of things would be destroyed if a war broke out.

“I just want to speak to Valerie.” Alpha Tristan’s voice was polite.

“Excuse me?” Alpha Denzel was annoyed that the asshole dared to address Valerie without a title.

“Please let me speak to Luna Valerie,” Alpha Tristan let down his pride and begged.
