Chapter 128: Chapter 128 – Everybody, stop!
“It must be her. That brown hair,” Alpha Chase exclaimed in a daze. He hadn’t seen her face, but she looked different from the coronation day.

“Don’t forget that brown hair is common, but let’s go. How about we ambush Alpha Denzel? You two could try to fight him to distract him, and some of us with the help of the warriors can just snatch Valerie. We leave the pack after that,” Alpha Ambrose suggested, but Alpha Conrad cautioned,

“Yes. But what if Alpha Denzel brings war to our doorstep?” He asked seriously, knowing how fierce Alpha Denzel’s anger could be.

“She would help us to fight him because we saved her life,” Alpha Apollo said, liking the idea. As a don himself, it would be good to have a strong Luna to take care of his pack when he was away doing business in the human world.

“Let’s give it a try,” Alpha Conrad agreed, thinking of how to get rid of these Alphas later when the plan works, and Valerie is rescued from Alpha Denzel.

They reached the entrance of the packhouse at the same time Alpha Denzel sped away with Luna Valerie in his car. The five Alphas rushed to their cars, but they were locked. Their 250 warriors, minus four, were there, in addition to about ten warriors from the Evergreen pack. When they tried to open the car doors, they couldn’t.

“Where the fuck are the car keys?” Alpha Conrad yelled, already guessing how their plan was going to be ruined like it did last night. Burke, who had been watching the visiting warriors since last night, replied.

“Alpha Denzel took them. No one drives to training, and we are to escort you to the training room. I must say that we don’t have provision for your many warriors. Our training room is just big enough for our pack warriors. We can’t add more than twenty.”

Alpha Conrad was not liking this. He needed his warriors close as the training room would be dominated by the Evergreen pack warriors. “Then let twenty of our warriors come with us, and why did Alpha Denzel go with a car if we are not allowed?” He asked in annoyance, reminding Burke, “we are all Alphas here.”

Burke forced a smile and replied proudly. “He is the Alpha of this pack. He can do whatever he wants, but I think it’s because of Luna Valerie. She was limping slightly.” Burke was just playing by the instruction Alpha Denzel gave him before leaving.

Alpha Conrad’s fingers balled as he felt that Alpha Denzel had abused Valerie again. The more he heard about it, the greater his burning anger and desire to rescue Valerie from Alpha Denzel’s hands.

After selecting twenty strong warriors from among the 246, he said, “The rest of you would wait outside the training room. Only this group would come inside with us. Y’all, let’s go.”

Burke had a cold smirk on his face before leading them away with his warriors. Alpha Ambrose could not help, as the alcohol was still dominant in his system. “What about the food? The alcohol from last night is killing me,” he complained.

Nobody had time for food when training was going to start any minute. Every pack had its unique rules. If Alpha Denzel had invited them, then he couldn’t force the rules on them or if he had given them permission, they could have some choice.

But since they decided on coming on their own accord, they had to obey each of the pack’s rules. “You can sit and watch, but let’s make our presence known,” he said to Alpha Ambrose, who reluctantly agreed at the thought of Valerie.

In the car, Valerie asked Alpha Denzel, “why are you breaking the rules? I’m not so weak. I could have raced you there.”

Alpha Denzel smiled faintly. Valerie was bent on having a fight with him, but due to what happened the last time, she changed it to racing him. He explained his reason to her.

“I just wanted to create a gap between them. They could catch up if we are on foot. Ninety percent of the pack warriors are in the training room, so it’s safe as soon as we get there. You would have to wait in the female changing room for my call, do you understand?”

Valerie glanced at him. He looked serious, so she knew there was no going against his plan. “Do I have a choice?”

The training room was filled with warriors warming up under Alessia’s instruction, so the female changing room was empty. Alpha Denzel used the back door to send her in.

As soon as she sat on one of the benches, she was filled with boredom, appreciating Alpha Denzel’s room for the first time. She managed to find ways to keep herself busy there.

“I should have brought my phone.”

“It’s forbidden to use a phone during training. Don’t worry. It won’t be long before Alessia and Burke come to get you,” he assured her. Not having any disagreements this morning, everything was cordial between them, and Valerie wanted it to remain so.

“I trust you.”

Alpha Denzel smiled faintly, wishing she would rather say that she loved him, but the most important thing at the moment was her protection. He checked all the rooms, ensuring there were no spies or hidden cameras before locking the door and taking the keys with him.

Though the front door leading directly to the training room was opened, he didn’t use it so no one knew he had somebody there.

Also, he would know if anyone wanted to enter the changing room in the course of training. It wasn’t going to be an ordinary training, so he had other arrangements made. When he joined the training, he didn’t take over from Alessia but rather joined the warm-up.

Alessia was confused since she didn’t know his plan and walked up to him, “You should take over.”

“No. Go on. I would love to watch everything going on from the back.”

He walked to the extreme end of the training room, joining in the warm-up at the same time the five Alphas entered with twenty warriors, curiously looking around for Valerie.

Burke and a few others joined the training, but Burke went to stand by Alessia’s side like Alpha Denzel instructed him to do.

Also, they couldn’t catch a glimpse of Alpha Denzel, so Alpha Conrad walked to Alessia and asked, “where is Valerie?”

Before Alessia opened her mouth, Alpha Denzel roared from behind. “Everybody, stop!”
