Chapter 131: Chapter 131 – I’m in love with someone, but it’s none of you
Valerie knew that the only way she would become a Luna of this pack was if she was mated to Alpha Denzel, but that possibility was long dead the moment he rejected her. Alessia was Alpha Denzel’s sister as well as the beta.

She was indeed doing a good job, so Valerie had nothing against the arrangement. Alpha Denzel would only be found wanting if Alessia found her mate, and he wasn’t a member of this pack. It would mean that she would have to live wherever her mate was, which might break Alpha Denzel a little.

He longed so much for a family but would not be able to do anything if it was rightfully taken from him.

Glaring daggers at Alpha Conrad, Valerie retorted heartlessly. “I would tell you what I told Alpha Denzel. I would rather he buries me alive in a hole than let me come with either of you.”

“He has brainwashed you,” Alpha Conrad shot back, not willing to give in. He wanted Alpha Denzel to be pitiful and lonely like he was, but sadly Alpha Denzel found happiness with Alessia and now, even Valerie was standing up for him.

Valerie was a debtor. Alpha Denzel had his shortcomings, but it would never overshadow the life he gave her. “No. He saved my life when you all gave up on me. No one stood up for me, and I’m not saying he’s an angel, but this devil here saved my life and gave me a comfortable home,” she revealed to everyone’s shock.

They all thought that she was being tortured since Alpha Denzel never went against his words, but who knew that when it involved Valerie, he spoke in irony and on a contrary basis?

“A home? You were being tortured,” Alpha Conrad pointed out. For Valerie to defend Alpha Denzel was not something he saw coming and was unprepared for it.

The confusion in the air was so thick that it masked the understanding of the people present. The relationship between Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie was so mysterious that they found it hard to understand.

No one would have believed it if they had not heard it from the horse’s own mouth and were glad to be present at training today. Everything that’s happening was already geared towards the future of the pack.

The four Alphas in support of Alpha Conrad were beginning to question if they took the right decision in coming to the Evergreen pack. At moments like this, they wanted to quietly leave, but the doors were all locked, which meant that until Alpha Denzel deemed it fit, no one was allowed to go out.

Should a misunderstanding happen now, their two hundred and something warriors outside would not be able to do anything, and the twenty inside would be easily overpowered.

They began to feel that they walked right into Alpha Denzel’s trap and were already caught in it.

Valerie did not want the false information to remain in the minds of the pack members, going on to say, “No. He always says mean things but does the exact opposite. He tells me he hates me but would be upset when I get injured and refused to eat.” As she recalled Alpha Denzel’s kindness, she couldn’t help getting emotional, as she began to gain clarity of his behavior.

“He would call the doctor to take care of me and allow his sister to bring me food and clothes. I am grateful to him,” she finally said. Alpha Denzel felt like he had enough of her gratitude, as all he wanted was her love.

Valerie found the interrogations annoying and would rather be in that room decorated with a dark interior than among these people.

“Can I go back now?” She asked, and seeing the reluctance on Alpha Denzel’s face, she quickly added, “I was making a few discoveries there?” She pointed at the changing room. Her sudden childish behavior filled Alpha Denzel’s heart with amusement, though he knew she was doing it out of boredom.

Alpha Denzel shook his head. Things were about to get bloody, and he wanted Valerie to witness it all. He wasn’t going to hide her anymore but would use this gathering to announce her to the packs but also issue a stern warning concerning her safety.

Oh, she had no idea that Alpha Denzel did not plan for any training today. Everything happening was all because of her.

“You stay here,” he finally retorted in a domineering voice. Valerie frowned but did not dare to disobey him. With his cold gaze pinned on Alpha Conrad, he asked seriously, “Alpha Conrad, what do you want?”

Alpha Conrad could not accept his loss. He murdered his mate in the hopes of getting Valerie, as his mate turned out to be a fan of Alpha Denzel.

“I want her. What does it take?” He asked seriously, feeling that having Valerie would equally buy him the sympathy of the pack members, and together, they would be able to defeat Alpha Denzel.

Alpha Denzel was well prepared and removed his shirt, leaving him in just his sweatpants and trainers. His well-defined muscles were like a work of art, and no matter how many times Valerie had seen it, she had to hide her blushing cheeks.

The female warriors equally did not take their eyes off their hot but cold Alpha as he said to Alpha Conrad, “It’s simple. You would have to go through me. A duo is more likable.”

Alpha Conrad felt hot in the air-conditioned room. He wasn’t a match to fight with Alpha Denzel and began to seek a way of escape. “You don’t love her,” he accused Alpha Denzel, who glanced at Valerie, smiled, and asked Alpha Conrad,

“What makes you think so?”

The training room broke into murmurs in response to Alpha Denzel’s words. Was he admitting to loving Luna Valerie?

“But she doesn’t love you,” Alpha Conrad said nervously. Valerie was fast getting the understanding of what was happening as Alpha Denzel had pre-informed her about the duo.

She just didn’t think it would be because of this. “Wait!” She stepped in between the two Alphas. They took steps back to listen as she spoke seriously, “if you two are going to fight because of me, then stop.”

“I’m also interested in the fight,” Alpha Ambrose said, thinking they would all go against Alpha Denzel together. Alpha Chase thought the same and also added, “Same here. I want you as my Luna.”

Alpha Farrel equally made his intentions known. “That is why I also came.”

Alpha Apollo also stepped forward. “I don’t know if I stand a chance, but I also have not found my mate.”

Valerie felt suffocated by all the Alphas present and began to look around for that familiar face. She didn’t find him but hoped that her words would bring him out.
