Chapter 139: Chapter 139 – If I had known
Hooks similar to those of fans appeared above the ceiling. Without being told, Burke began to connect ropes. This was usually done in the torture room, but today, Alpha Denzel had turned the training room into a torture room.

It was already ghastly, with blood gradually covering their space. The omegas were going to have a lot of work to do when the training room was finally opened again, but at the moment, every traitor in the training room wished the doors would open.

A mocking smile curled up his lips. “If I had known that your rejection of Luna Valerie was merely a trick, you would never have won.” How could he not see? He was so close, and yet, everything suddenly backfired.

Alpha Conrad could not pinpoint when the whole thing began to turn against him. Thinking the gap between them was only as a result of Alpha Denzel being busy, it turned out that he had suspected everything Conrad was doing and equally prepped himself.

The most painful part was the way Conrad fell into all the traps set by Alpha Denzel without guessing it was even a trap.

“Indeed, but you also forgot that she would have defended herself quite well,” Alpha Denzel said with certainty, to ward off anyone who might target Valerie. Without her wolf, she indeed did not stand a chance against any of these wolves, but it was all his fault.

“Well, you just have to accept that I outsmarted you, even though my rejection cost her a lot. Sadly, you won’t know exactly what it was,” Alpha Denzel sneered. Seeing his enemy at his mercy, it was exciting for the innocent lives lost to get their needed justice.

“I had a feeling that Alessia was so close to you. I should have gone by my first plan and instinct,” Alpha Conrad said with regret, as he saw the smile on Alessia’s face. She was videoing everything going on.

“Alpha, the hooks are ready,” Burke announced, as he dropped one tip of the rope beside Alpha Denzel.

Lowering himself a little, Alpha Denzel picked up the rope. Unexpectedly, Alpha Conrad picked up a dagger and charged towards where Valerie and Alessia sat in the corner. He knew he was going to die, and if nothing at all, he was determined to take one of them with him.

His heart gladdened as he managed to reach Valerie first, about to stab her with the dagger, but it fell from his hand as a result of a force.

The only thing he felt was a pull from his leg, his face smashed on the floor. Due to it being wood, the effect was not so great, but Alpha Denzel had a lot waiting for them. Valerie was in shock as it would have been too late for her to dodge the attack.

After hearing all the confessions, she had gradually understood the length Alpha Denzel had gone to protect her. Too bad she could not feel the deep connection she expected to him.

“I would have enjoyed taking her with me.”

“Burke, get me a spear,” Alpha Denzel roared. Burke ran to the male changing room and returned with one.

Well, though knowing that one was going to die, it did not take away the expected pain that came with it. “What are you going to do?” Alpha Conrad asked, not hiding his fears this time around.

Alpha Denzel thrust the spear into his groins, a loud growl escaped Alpha Conrad, as he hung head down in the air, screaming and cursing as blood gushed out.

The pain was unbearable, and Alpha Conrad wished he could just die. However, he still could not let Alpha Denzel win, so he stomached the pain.

“Fuck you, Denzel. Even if you kill me, more enemies would rise in my place. People fear you. Yes. And that is also why they would do anything to see you dead,” he spat.

Alpha Denzel glared at him, but it was as if everything Alpha Conrad said was directed at somebody else. The moon goddess already warned him, and he equally recalled the Alphas’ names Conrad had refused to give Alessia until she became Alpha.

He dropped the spear and smiled. “Mention their names, and you will have my liberty.”
