Chapter 201: Chapter 201 – I’m Finished
Back in Las Vegas, a group of Dons was involved in a fierce argument. “What do you mean he’s still alive, and how did he disappear from the hospital? No wolf can survive a silver bullet, so how come he did not die and even escaped our assassin?”

Don Viggo’s eyes were red as he questioned the men who brought the report, not caring about those who had died due to the crossfire with Don Denzel’s men. He already knew what was coming if Don Denzel survived the gunshot.

The four men trembled as one of them made himself the spokesperson, speaking on behalf of the rest. It was Jack.

“We did as Don Mario instructed, but Don Denzel showed up before we could take the woman. Thinking he was going to deal with us himself, he called Godic to handle it.”

Everyone who knew Don Denzel also knew about Godic. Wherever Don Denzel could not be, Godic was, and he learned so much from his boss that seventy percent of the time, he took decisions on his own.

Don Viggo did not like this. Godic was the one who even did most of the killings and torture for Don Denzel, so he was no better than Denzel himself. Fear wedged in his heart, as the other Alphas had grim looks.

“Oh no. Don’t tell me about that beast. Is he a bodyguard, an assistant, or an assassin? He does more than a mere bodyguard would do and knows everything about Don Denzel’s businesses,” Don Viggo lamented.

Men like Godic were few, and yet he was loyal to Don Denzel. Thanks to him, their plans were always sabotaged. Godic was Don Denzel’s eyes, ears, and nose in the human world.

Jack was clueless about the reaction he was getting from these great Dons since he was human and thought about explaining the details of the situation to them.

“That is right. Due to the situation, Don Mario showed up and offered to be taken in so we could be free. He sent a message earlier about how your snipers and assassins tracked Aurora to Don Denzel’s manor, adding that we should observe and send you the report after Don Denzel’s death.”

Don Mario was certain that Don Denzel’s death would be the end of Godic, for which reason he offered himself.

If Don Denzel died, his escape from Godic would be easy since the latter would focus on protecting the businesses.

Not being a Don, he would not be able to do much and might lose everything altogether. If the Dons gang up together, they could take everything Don Denzel worked hard for, but that would only be after his death.

“Everything was going well before that fucking beastly Godic appeared with his men. Even the snipers were taken down together with the assassins. The ambulance came in, and we saw Don Denzel unconscious on a stretcher. That woman by his side was crying.” Jack was narrating the incident through gritted teeth.

“We followed them to the hospital and disguised as nurses. We were supposed to give him a lethal injection when suddenly the alarm blew, and in the midst of the chaos, he disappeared.”

It ached him so much that they failed when they were this close to success. Did Don Denzel and his men suspect that something like that was going to happen? How could he escape like that?

“His chopper is still parked where it was, and the same with that of Godic. Same with all their cars. I’m sorry, but we can’t find them.” He finally lowered his head in defeat.

He never failed a job but did so this time, and this was equally the first time they went against someone like Don Denzel.

Those who went ahead were all dead, and somehow, he feared he might soon follow them to their graves.

“Fuck! So where is Don Mario?” Don Viggo finally asked. The other Dons were too depressed to utter a word. All they continuously did was puff on their cigars.

The VIP room in which they were in one of the clubs was already thick with the smoke of cigars.

“I don’t know where they kept him either,” Jack replied, destroying their last hope. Don Viggo was lost for solutions and spoke in a painful tone.

“Just wait outside. We’ll call you when we need you.”

The four men strolled out of the room and Don Viggo hurled the drinking glass in his hand against the wall. “I’m finished,” he hissed.

This was his master plan after the humiliation Alpha Denzel caused them and their Lunas during Troy’s coronation. The level they reached was too dangerous, and the failure of it would only bring them dread.

“Don Mario is going to sell me out too because of his woman, so I’m also dead here,” Don Commander added his voice. He never stopped puffing his cigar, wondering if going by Don Viggo’s idea was worth it.

He first thought about the consequences of failure since their predecessors failed at such attempts already. It was just that Don Viggo’s plan seemed flawless, and the people he had on board were the best at what they do.

“Did you forget that the sniper was sent by me?” Don Eskimo expressed his worry as well. They came together to put their plans into use from their resources, but things still went south.

“What do we do now? Do you think he’s gone to the pack?” Don Commander asked, fear rising in his voice.

Don Denzel was the most vengeful Don that ever lived. There was nothing like forgiveness in his dictionary, or should they say encyclopedia?

Don Eskimo was shaking his head. “We can’t possibly know that from here, but if he’s at the pack, then we have to execute plan B. Alpha Denzel would have to be killed, or Valerie taken from him. Let’s launch plan B. Call Alpha Kendrick,” he said seriously.

Alpha Kendrick was their only hope at the moment. If things worked out with him, then they would be back on track.
