Chapter 202: Chapter 202 – Luna, we are close to the pack
Alpha Commander dialed Alpha Kendrick’s number and spoke in a depressed tone. “Our plan failed from here. She still has not been marked, so this is your chance. You said that you had a special wolf, right?”
“Yes, I have a special wolf, and she is gifted with great abilities. I would get her help and be on my way,” Alpha Kendrick’s voice sounded at the end of the line.
When the call ended, his beta, Ludwig, advised him. “Please don’t do this. No one has ever succeeded in going against Alpha Denzel. He loves blood, and I don’t want to see yours spilled.”
Alpha Kendrick of the Black Fur Pack was rather upset. No one liked to be under the shadow of the Evergreen pack. It would have been good if the gap in terms of wealth, power, and strength was just a little between them, but no.
The Evergreen pack was ten times more powerful than most of the packs. It was not fair and safe for one Alpha to radiate so much power.
“Shut up. I can take your position and give it to another. If you can’t support me, then you are useless to me,” he barked. Ludwig pursed his lips and did not say anymore.
The four Alphas in Las Vegas did not like this plan but did not have a choice. Should things work out, Luna Valerie would belong to Alpha Kendrick instead of any of them since he was not mated yet, but they also felt it was better than for her to remain with Alpha Denzel.
“It would also be better if we return to the pack, don’t you think?” Don Eskimo asked, afraid that Alpha Denzel might send Godic to burn down their houses as soon as he recovers, but Alpha Viggo had other plans.
“I was thinking about relocating to any country in Asia for now. Did you forget how Alpha Denzel attacked the Yellowstone pack with just a few men? We don’t have allies in his pack anymore, and as soon as he recovers, we shall be in deep trouble.”
“What about our Lunas?” Luna Commander asked. Weak as they may seem, their packs were in the hands of the betas and Lunas at the moment.
Alpha Denzel was not one to have anything to do with their Lunas, so Alpha Eskimo was unfazed about that bit.
“Forget them. Let’s think about ourselves first.”
At an unknown location, Valerie was disturbed. “Why did we stop here? He’s already burning up, and ten minutes have already passed.” She was applying all the first aid methods she could think of, both science and herbal.
The injuries were deep, and they could not afford to lose Denzel on the way. Godic explained politely to her.
“We don’t want to be tracked, so we had to buy a new chopper in the name of one of my men to ride to the pack. We won’t be able to stop on the way to use a car.” As he spoke, he heard the sound of a helicopter from afar. “It’s already here.”
Valerie let out a relieved sigh, wondering when Alpha Denzel would be free from so many enemies. A lot of people were envious of his wealth and power, but only if they knew what he went through just to enjoy a little peace.

As soon as the chopper landed, they carried Alpha Denzel to it, and the rest of his men stayed behind. They had to monitor the businesses, especially the managers.
“Keep an eye on everything and keep me updated,” Godic said, and they nodded in agreement. The pilot got off the chopper and equally joined the car after Denzel was moved to the chopper.
“Here, it would be very cold, and it would even get worse when we begin the journey.” Godic removed his jacket and gave it to Valerie.
She was about to take it when she remembered Denzel’s warning not to smile at any man. Most certainly, he would not be happy that she wore another man’s clothes and refused.
“No. I’m fine. It’s just a little cold. I would be fine,” she politely refused, though she indeed felt cold.
She might forget to take it off before Denzel wakes up, and she feared what he would think. This man took multiple bullets for her, so what was a little cold compared to it? She laid beside him on the mobile hospital bed in the chopper.
Godic did not force her and took the pilot’s position. A lot of bosses feared to equip their staff, but it was not the same with Alpha Denzel.
Whatever he knew, he thought Godic, and that was why he trusted that should he not be there, Godic would always know what to do without being told.
Valerie’s heart warmed, and a smile bloomed on her lips when Denzel wrapped his arms around her, even with his eyes still closed.
At one of the manager’s offices in Las Vegas, Aurora was disturbed and went to speak with Codelia as soon as she arrived at work.
“Last night, I went to clean Don Denzel’s house. He arrived with a woman and told me to leave. I lingered around and heard gunshots.”
Codelia was not disturbed about something like that. Mafias and guns were normal activities, but Aurora had more to say.
“Godic and his men arrived, so I hid. An ambulance came to take Don Denzel away, but he wasn’t at the hospital when I went to check on him this morning. Neither Godic nor his men are answering my calls. What could be happening?”
Hearing that her boss was taken in an ambulance, Cordelia was now interested in the conversation and also disturbed.
“You are a manager, so why did you go to clean his house? And who is the woman? Was it his wife?”
At the thought of the woman she saw with Don Denzel, bitterness laced her taste buds. “She was so haughty and spoke to Don like they were friends. She arrived, and Don got injured. Isn’t she bad luck?” She asked, Codelia was speechless.
Valerie had no idea for how long they slept until she heard Godic’s voice. “Luna, we are close to the pack. You have to inform the beta so they would give us access. This is the first time we are going to fly a chopper there.”
