Chapter 208: Chapter 208 – Will he be able to tame her?
“If you love her, then who am I to stand in your way? And why do you find yourself unworthy? What better person to be mated to my sister than you?” Alpha Denzel asked, leaving Godic speechless.

All along, he had underestimated himself, even though many people had recognized that he was not just a mere bodyguard.

However, Godic did not see it that way. Alpha Denzel had equipped him in so many ways, but his attitude towards him was as cold as it was to anyone else.

Godic did not want to have high hopes. “Alpha, I’m just a bodyguard.”

Alpha Denzel chuckled, disappointed by his response, and asked keenly, “Is that what you think? Who in their right mind would leave everything to just a bodyguard?”

Godic was beginning to digest the words very quickly, but before he could conclude, Alpha Denzel asked again, “And is your salary the same as that of other bodyguards?”

Godic’s salary was on par with the amount some Alphas paid themselves in their packs. In the human world, he was wealthy enough to own at least three houses, five luxury cars, or even purchase a private jet if he wanted.

“Alpha…” he was about to say when Alpha Denzel began to break it down for him.

“Titles mean nothing. Your worth only depends on how you value yourself. Since you are now my brother-in-law, there are just a few changes to be made.”

Alpha Denzel’s words, though stern, sounded like the sweetest thing Godic had ever heard. No one could predict Alpha Denzel, but Godic was happy to be on his team.

“Alessia,” Alpha Denzel yelled, loud enough for Alessia to hear from her room, and she responded quicker than expected.

“Denzel.”

Alessia went to sit on the arm of the sofa where Godic sat, but Godic was not afraid anymore. He instinctively wrapped his arm around her waist, allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder.

Alpha Denzel smiled internally, but his expression remained stoic. “Do you love him?” He asked Alessia, she smiled and responded, “Yes.”

“Then you have to move to Las Vegas with him. Godic has his signature on a lot of things, and it would take years before I can train anyone to take over his position. I can’t transfer him to this pack,” Alpha Denzel explained.

Valerie was smiling from ear to ear when Alessia locked eyes with her, thinking Valerie had suggested it to Alpha Denzel.

It was just funny how their decisions were in sync with each other, as if they read each other’s minds.

Alessia was pretty excited about the arrangement, and Godic was wondering if he should punish the people who shot Alpha Denzel or reward them.

However, he recalled Valerie’s words that Godic should take Alessia to Las Vegas since they were now mates.

It meant that even if this had not happened, he would have still met Alessia in Las Vegas at a later time.

“I will be glad to go with him to Las Vegas. Godic will take me on the tour you promised me.”

Alpha Denzel was shaking his head. Indeed, he promised her a tour, but a lot had already happened, and that tour had to be postponed to another date and time.

“Alessia, there is a lot you need to learn there. You would need a new driver’s license, a new identity, and even have to learn how to fly a private plane. Then there is the business aspect. You have to put your tour on hold for now.”

Alessia was not pleased with her brother’s words, so Alpha Denzel could only rely on Godic at this moment.

“Godic, you are the man, and you have to act like it. I’m entrusting her to you, which means that you can’t allow her to bully you. She’s stubborn and loves manipulation. I hope you understand what I mean.”

Alessia’s teeth gritted together. Since her brother could not control her, he was pushing the responsibility onto her mate. In a way, Alessia wanted her mate to be happy and would not want to make things difficult for him.

“Yes, Alpha. I will take good care of her,” Godic said solemnly, but Alpha Denzel discerned another problem and quickly corrected it.

“You can’t call me Alpha or Don anymore.” Godic did not understand this part. With a confused look on his face, Alpha Denzel explained further.

“You are my brother-in-law now, so we will go by first names from now onwards.”

Valerie was so moved that tears welled up in her eyes. Godic was equally wiping his. He never expected this form of reward after how well he was paid for every job he did.

The moon goddess had indeed blessed his loyal heart. “Alpha…” he was about to say when Alpha Denzel cut him off sternly.

“Be careful, Godic.”

Alessia was perplexed. “Is it so hard to call him Denzel?” She punched Godic on the chest, and he held his heart with feigned pain in his eyes.

“Yes, it’s hard for me, but I will try. With time.”

Alpha Denzel disagreed and said to him, “No. Do so now. Open your mouth, and say it.”

Godic opened his mouth, but the words felt too heavy to come out. “Den…Denzel,” he stammered.

“That’s more like it.” Alpha Denzel stood up and pulled him into his warm embrace, patting his back before pulling away. Godic stiffened before hugging him back.

It was taking time to accept the new changes and the fact that the Alpha was now his brother-in-law.

Alessia stood up excitedly. “Nothing stops us now. Come and mark me first,” she said and dragged him upstairs, Alpha Denzel was shaking his head.

“Will he be able to tame her?” He asked Valerie, hoping that Godic would be able to take control of his relationship with Alessia.

Valerie recalled how she was ready to submit to Alpha Tristan when she found out he was her mate, even though he was just a mere warrior.

“Who knows, she might just change after their first mating,” Valerie said before she quickly added, “let’s go and shower.” Alpha Denzel’s gaze made her feel hot.

Valerie and Denzel were in the shower together when a knock was heard on their door. “I will get it,” Alpha Denzel said, pulled a towel, and wrapped it around his sexy slender waist, and Valerie blushed a little.

When she stepped out of the shower, a voice caught her attention, and looking everywhere, her gaze took on a shocked expression when she saw the image in the mirror.

“I am Astrid, your wolf.”
