Aticus was her childhood friend and should not have been killed by her. Astrid was unremorseful. “You have to know who we are. No one messes with an Alpha, so how could he mess with us?”

“I could have punished him by beating him to a pulp. There was no need for killing,” Valerie said seriously. Though Alpha Denzel disagreed, he did not interrupt their conversation, only leaning against the glass door.

With Astrid’s image in the mirror, that of Alpha Denzel and Valerie could not be seen.

He agreed with Astrid that Aticus deserved what he got but was only concerned with Astrid taking over without Valerie’s permission.

Their conversation took a different route and she had no time to even ask about them. How was she going to break that news that she killed her childhood friend?

“Alpha Denzel accepted me on your behalf and the fact that I have not possessed you does not mean you don’t have your wolfy abilities,” Astrid revealed, explaining further. “You can heal faster than before when you get injured.”

Valerie could not believe it until she tried it. At the thought of her wolfy abilities, her fingers elongated and she scratched from her left shoulder to her fingers with her right hand. By the time her claws reached her hand, the wound it created with it healed as well.

A sense of satisfaction and joy filled her heart as she smiled. “Thank you.”

“You are no longer upset that I killed him?” Astrid asked teasingly. Valerie smirked.

“He should not have tried to mark me. I warned him but he didn’t listen. I think he deserves it but next time, please let me know first that you are going to do something like that,” she said with caution.

Astrid was relieved but since she had not possessed Valerie, there was no way for them to communicate without a mirror or clear water.

She would just keep doing what she deems right until the full moon. “For now, there is nothing of that sort. Just endure me, will you?”

Valerie was speechless. When she turned around and saw Alpha Denzel, she was slightly embarrassed because she was naked.
