Alpha Denzel’s expression changed instantly. “What do you mean by the bond refused to break?”

It was just as he thought. Kendrick must have manipulated the bond to claim Valerie as his. Alpha Denzel was ready to make him pay.

“I can still feel it after the rejection,” Valerie spoke as she sank into the sofa, depressed. Alessia went to her side to comfort her.

“Val, what are you talking about?” Valerie did not know how to explain it, but Alpha Denzel was going to get it out of Kendrick and asked coldly.

“Kendrick, what have you done to her?”

Kendrick, who was enjoying the turn of events, feigned innocence. “Nothing. Perhaps the rejection did not work because she was already rejected twice. Are you going to blame me for this too?”

“Alpha Denzel, what are you doing?” he asked, his heart beating fast. Alpha Denzel ignored his question and continued the conversation.

“What I am saying is, I could train the weakest warrior to be your Alpha and rule over you, or you could take the position depending on how well you play your cards.”

Alpha Kendrick paled at Alpha Denzel’s words, worsened by Ludwig’s response. “Alpha Denzel, I believe I would make the right decision.”

Alpha Denzel had no doubt that he would refuse anyway. “Alright. Your Alpha claims that my Luna is his mate, and indeed, my Luna feels a bond, but even after a rejection, the bond refuses to break.”

“I warned him, but he won’t listen. He was so bent on having Luna Valerie. There is a girl in our pack with special powers. He forced her to fake the bond for him,” Ludwig revealed without fears, his Alpha’s heart sunk.

This, to him, was a betrayal of the highest form. Alpha Denzel was glad to confirm the source of their promise and replied to Ludwig.

“You have been very helpful. Can you ask the girl for an antidote?” He asked politely. If the rejection did not break the bond, he wasn’t sure of what else would.

This had to be resolved before he even thinks about ending Alpha Kendrick’s life. Ludwig did not also have the slightest idea of how to get the antidote since he never interacted with the girl.

Already, he had a big problem on his head, and that was Scarlet. The bitch refused to accept his rejection, but pertaining to Luna Valerie’s past with her sister Scarlet, Ludwig had hope that Alpha Denzel could use his authority to force it.

This was all he needed from Alpha Denzel. “I will put her on the line because he made her take an oath to not reveal it.”

Alpha Kendrick felt betrayed. If nothing at all, his beta should have stood for him, but no. Just like the other betas, he betrayed his Alpha to be on Alpha Denzel’s good side.

“Ludwig, you traitor,” Alpha Kendrick yelled, but Ludwig did not feel like a traitor when he did his part in giving his Alpha the right advice.

“I warned you, but you didn’t listen. I have to do what is best for our pack. You can think about how you would leave the Evergreen pack unscathed, but I don’t care if you choose another beta in my place.”

He took a deep breath and changed his tone before addressing Denzel. “Alpha Denzel, I will find the girl and call you back.”

Valerie sighed with relief. Her wolf would never be able to recognize Denzel during the full moon if this spell was not broken.

Once again, she was glad to have chosen Denzel. He said before that they would create their destiny. He was doing just that.

“Alright. Make it snappy,” Alpha Denzel replied to Ludwig before ending the call. Then he addressed Kendrick, saying,

“After this is over, you would have to fight your way out of this pack. You can start thinking about the weapon you like, and it would be made available. The only exception is a gun.”

He was never going to allow Alpha Kendrick to leave the pack alive after doing this. Alpha Kendrick was sweating bullets, as the luxury chair he sat on suddenly became uncomfortable.

He could only hope that the girl with the special powers would not be found. Godic equally took advantage of the situation.

Alpha Kendrick got on his nerves when he entered the packhouse, and Godic wanted the opportunity to teach him a lesson.

“Denzel, if there is going to be a fight, then as your brother-in-law, I want to battle him in your stead,” Godic proposed, Alessia’s hand around Valerie stiffened. Why was Godic proposing to fight with an Alpha? Was he planning suicide?
