Chapter 221: Chapter 221 – It’s broken
At this moment, there was nothing Alpha Denzel or Valerie would not do for important information like this.

“What is that?” Valerie asked seriously, but the response caused everyone to chuckle from amusement.

“That you allow me to see and hug you in front of my friends,” Alice’s thin voice was heard. Everyone chuckled, excluding Alpha Kendrick.

How could he have forgotten that just like those girls, Alice equally idolized Valerie? This would have been good if things had worked as he planned and Valerie became his Luna.

“That isn’t a problem. I would personally be at your pack with Alpha Denzel during Beta Ludwig’s coronation to give you that hug in front of all your friends,” Valerie assured her.

It was the easiest deal she ever made in her life. She could not help wondering if Alice was being bullied by her friends for her to want to show off Valerie.

Most people with special powers would not dare to tell anyone and were always the ones faced with bullies. Alice’s request could be a way of scaring her bullies away, but Valerie would not decide on it until she met the girl in person.

“Not Alpha Denzel,” Alice suddenly said over the phone, earning a few frowns invisible to her.

“Why?” Valerie asked in a gentle tone, and the girl replied.

“He’s scary. The sound of his voice alone makes me shake.” Valerie and Alessia laughed, but Alpha Denzel and Godic only smiled a little.

“Hahaha, it might interest you to know that he is very nice,” Valerie said reassuringly. The girl believed her as she began to give the directions to break the spell.

“Okay. Fetch water into a basin and pour lots of ice cubes into it. Then dip your face three times before pronouncing the rejection.”

Alessia was already in the kitchen to get the items before she paused at the sound of Valerie’s question. “Is that all?”

“Yes. After the bond breaks, you can moisturize your face with a little olive oil to prevent the charm on him from taking another effect.”

Valerie was so relieved. Breaking this particular spell was far easier than she thought. “Thank you, and how old are you?”

“I’m sixteen,” Alice replied. Valerie was happy for her special gift. It was not strange for some she-wolves to be specially gifted, and Valerie wanted to do something special for her.

“I like pretty lady dresses and shoes,” Alice said shyly over the phone. Valerie made a mental note to get her some lovely dresses and shoes during Ludwig’s coronation.

Alpha Kendrick had not only given his title away just like that but also his life, so Valerie was certain about Ludwig’s coronation.

“Okay. I will bring you a lot of them.”

At the other side of the line, Ludwig was slightly nervous and said, “Alpha Denzel, there is a problem if I have to be coronated in place of my Alpha.”

He did not want Alpha Denzel to later see him as a scam, deciding to reveal everything. Unknown to him, Alpha Denzel already knew what he was driving at and casually said,

“Let me take care of this menace first.” By the time the call ended, Alessia already brought the basin of water with the ice cubes before going to get the olive oil upstairs.

Alpha Denzel picked up the bucket of ice cubes, about to empty it into the basin when Alpha Kendrick kicked it from his hand, causing the bucket of ice to miss its target.

Ice cubes scattered all over the living room without a drop in the water. Valerie’s heart sunk, and she made a move to replace the ice cubes from the kitchen.

Sadly for her, Alessia, who was descending the stairs with an olive oil in hand, froze. “This is all the cube we have in the pack house.”

Valerie instantly knelt on the floor and began to pick up the ice cubes. Seeing this, Alpha Kendrick was about to pick up the basin of water when Godic caught his hand.

As if reading Alpha Denzel’s mind, he punched Alpha Kendrick twice on the face before pushing him hard against the wall.

“Don’t even dare,” he warned seriously. Alpha Denzel controlled his anger, as his focus was on getting that stupid spell broken. He had joined Valerie in picking up the ice cubes with Alessia’s help.

It would be a disaster if he wasted his time on Kendrick for the ice cubes to melt.

Godic joined later, and as they picked, they dropped it directly into the basin. As soon as they got enough, Denzel held Valerie’s hair to the back as she dipped her face into it three times, the coldness causing a shiver through her body.

It was worth it for the spell to be broken. When she lifted her head, she pronounced the rejection words again, and this time, the bond broke instantly.

Alpha Kendrick’s acceptance was no longer needed since the words had been exchanged before. Only the spell was still holding the spell from breaking.

Everyone waited as Valerie assessed herself to see if there was a trace of the bond. Luckily, she could not feel any connection with Alpha Kendrick anymore.

The only person intimately in her heart was Alpha Denzel and so was in her thoughts. “It’s broken,” she said to Alpha Denzel’s relief.

Alessia could not control her excitement, hugging Valerie tightly before giving her a towel to wipe her face.

As soon as that was done, Alessia emptied a reasonable amount of Olive oil in Valerie’s palm, and she quickly rubbed her hands together before smearing the oil all over her face.

Confident in herself, she stared at Alpha Kendrick in the eyes. “You think you can break us by faking the mate bond? News flash. We have seen worse than this.”

Alpha Kendrick’s face was all red as the heat from the spell began to burn him. A one-sided spell was not comfortable, but he had no means of reversing it.

His only way was to win the fight and to return to his pack for Alice to reverse it for him, but for now, he would have no choice but to endure the heat.

“Denzel, should I deal with him now?” Godic could not wait to do so. Alpha Denzel smirked upon seeing the redness on Alpha Kendrick’s face.

“Without mercy but take it to the frontage of the packhouse.” Then he smiled at the recollection of Godic’s strength. “I won’t even give him the opportunity to choose a weapon anymore.”
