Chapter 223: Chapter 223 – Can’t You Control Your Woman?
As expected, there was another trending news, and Ludwig spoke as soon as he answered the call.

“Alpha Denzel, I saw what happened. It’s such a shame that our Alpha was killed by a non-Alpha. Can you help me train with that guy?” He asked seriously over the phone.

Alpha Denzel chuckled but did not immediately respond to the question. Godic’s abilities were extraordinary, as he was very dedicated and loyal to Alpha Denzel.

When Alpha Denzel visited the human world the first time, he went the second time with Godic, and they had lived together in the early days when Denzel was just starting the businesses there.

Without Denzel’s invitation, Godic would join Denzel and try to mimic his exercise routines without being told.

Gradually, Denzel began to correct his postures and positions. Before he knew it, Godic was receiving free lessons.

Denzel liked him for the fact that he would try to do things to please him for the free knowledge and moves he got on a daily basis. With time, he would even begin before Denzel got to the gym.

“That isn’t the reason why I called, but we can talk about that later. What do you want to do with the warriors?” Alpha Denzel changed the line of conversation.

It would take months to years for anyone to reach the level Denzel had taken Godic. He did not regret teaching Godic, and Godic had taught those who worked with him.

Thus, Godic’s men were extraordinary.

“Do you mean the ones who accompanied Alpha… I mean my late Alpha?” Ludwig stammered slightly and spoke politely. Alpha Denzel’s response was curt, “Yes.”

“Most of them are honest, and the pack would need them.” The response at the end of the line was clear. Ludwig did not want more of his pack members dead.

Also, if they knew how their life depended on what he was saying, then they would give him the respect he deserved.

“Okay,” Alpha Denzel said on the phone before saying to the warriors from the Black fur pack, “Your beta and soon-to-be Alpha has just saved your life. Leave now before I change my mind.”

He had no intention of doing anything to them anyway since none of them had caused him trouble. If Ludwig had refused them, then Alpha Denzel would have made them swear an oath to keep them.

The warriors scurried out of the Evergreen pack with Alpha Denzel about to end the call when Ludwig suddenly revealed, “Alpha Denzel, there is a big problem. I can’t be coronated.”

“What is the problem?” Alpha Denzel pretended not to know.

“Scarlet is my mate, and she has refused to accept my rejection, though already being Alpha Tristan’s Luna.”

Being aware of the feud between Scarlet and Valerie, Beta Ludwig did not want to get on Alpha Denzel’s bad side if news about his bond with Scarlet goes viral.

“Do you intend to accept her in the future?” Denzel asked seriously, Ludwig gave a firm response.

“Never.” What was he to do with a woman who not only lacked patience but also betrayed her sister to this level? Anyone mated to someone like Scarlet must be under a curse.

“What if I ask Tristan to leave her for you?”

Alpha Denzel was testing him, knowing how the mate bond could make one go crazy but seemed Ludwig could not forget what transpired between him, Tristan, and Scarlet at the Yellowstone pack.

His tone filled with certainty as he answered. “Alpha Denzel, I don’t want her. The only thing I need is for her to accept my rejection.”

His rejection of Scarlet would make it even better for Valerie during Ludwig’s coronation. This was not how Alpha Denzel planned it, but it seemed karma was still doing a very good job.

“Then go ahead with the arrangements and send them an invite. State it clearly that you especially want Scarlet there to discuss a future together.”

Ludwig was smart enough to read in between the lines of Alpha Denzel’s plan. Scarlet would be filled with the hope of having her destined mate only for her dreams to be shattered like she did to her sister.

Ludwig began to see Alpha Denzel differently. “Thank you, Alpha Denzel. I wonder why people call you all sorts of names. You are beyond my expectation.”

Alpha Denzel explained it calmly. “Well, greedy and selfish people turn proud and are unable to ask for help when they need it. They then see the person who can help them as an enemy because they feel inferior to him or her.”

At the end of the line, Ludwig was smiling like a fool. It was obvious that all those Alphas going against Alpha Denzel, in actual fact, wanted to be like him. “I think I understand.”

Alpha Denzel ended the call and turned to Godic. “Let’s talk inside.”

Naturally, Alessia was glued to Godic, and Valerie walked beside Denzel. They were not surprised when Alessia naturally sat on Godic’s lap, but Alpha Denzel was not having it this time.

Alessia might just be happy and in love with her mate, but Denzel did not like clinginess. Somehow, he felt that Godic was just having a hard time correcting Alessia’s unwelcoming behavior.

“Godic, can’t you control your woman?” Alpha Denzel’s voice was stern, but Alessia took offense. She already reaffirmed what she would do if she found her mate.

Everyone had just one chance at life, and she was determined to make the best use of it.

“Denzel, I’m your sister.” If nothing at all, Denzel had no right to stare at her like that, but Denzel could not accept it.

At a thought, he whispered something in Alessia’s ears, her face burned, and she instantly stood up and sat on the next sofa beside him.
