Chapter 230: Chapter 231 – I am at the right place
Before arriving for Beta Bodie’s coronation, Alpha Denzel had announced during training for his pack members to help spread the rumor that he was partially paralyzed.
He explained the reason to them, and they were desperate for revenge on whoever shot their Alpha.
Alpha Denzel was not one to pretend but had a customized wheelchair. Elegantly dressed in a black suit and black shirt, Luna Valerie helped him out of the car and into the wheelchair.
Her arm wrapped around his waist as Alpha Denzel allowed her to carry seventy percent of his weight.
Valerie explained to the stunned Beta Bodie, ensuring Denzel was comfortable in the wheelchair.
“He was shot in the human world, and we got him here too late. His wolf could not heal him completely.”
For a man like Alpha Denzel to be in this state, Beta Bodie could not help being afraid and sympathetic.
“I’m sorry, but will he be comfortable around here? I mean, all the other Alphas are here, including Tristan.”
He feared that Alpha Denzel would be jeered at by the enemy Alphas, but Valerie rather asked,
“And Scarlet?”
Beta Bodie looked around curiously before responding. “She did not turn up.”
“Alpha Idris?” Alpha Denzel asked, still looking intimidating, even as he sat in the wheelchair. His dark gaze roamed around like he was looking for his prey.
“Yes. I saw him around,” Beta Bodie replied, about to escort them to the events hall when they were interrupted by a familiar voice.
“Val,” Adira hastened to Valerie’s side and hugged her, but seeing Alpha Denzel in a wheelchair, shock registered in her eyes.
“What happened?”
Valerie felt guilty to be playing with Adira’s emotions, but this was the only way to get those three dons out of their hiding. The Alphas here would pass on the information faster than the speed of lightning.

She gave the same response as she did to Beta Bodie, the same time Alpha Troy rushed to Alpha Denzel’s side. “Alpha Denzel, do you need help with anything?”
Alpha Denzel glared at him and could not help being sarcastic. “Do you think you can help me better than my Luna?”
He was never used to pricking people’s conscience and was not happy about the sympathetic attention he was receiving.
Alpha Troy did not take offense, feeling Alpha Denzel was just in a bad mood due to his situation.
However, he was always like this on most occasions. “Sorry. Luna Valerie, nice to see you again,” Alpha Troy said seriously. Valerie responded in a soft tone, but there was no smile on her face.
“Same here.”
The hall for the event was luxuriously decorated, and most of the Alphas had already arrived, though some could not make it.
With Alpha Denzel’s presence, Beta Bodie was proud and did not care anymore about the absentees.
A representative from the peace council was in charge of the coronation, and Alpha Idris found a chair beside Alpha Denzel as he whispered,
“What happened to you? The Alphas are mocking you behind your back. I am sure your predicament would go around the packs before the coronation ends. I would have preferred that you did not come.”
Alpha Idris was genuinely worried about Alpha Denzel, but the latter responded warmly.
“I am at the right place.” Alpha Idris was rendered speechless.
From afar, Alpha Tristan sent a wave, afraid of coming closer. As soon as Beta Bodie was declared the Alpha, Alpha Denzel and Valerie left.
The news about Alpha Denzel’s situation spread through the packs like wildfire, reaching Las Vegas as well.
Alessia had informed them about her arrival in Las Vegas, expressing her excitement with the way things were, though she missed the pack and her wolf.
A few days later, Valerie went shopping for Alice, and the next day, they arrived at the Black Fur Pack.
Strangely, all Alphas attended the coronation in their numbers, curious about Alpha Denzel’s predicament. Only those three Alphas were still missing from the bunch.
Some of the Alphas here had come to confirm the information they heard to pass on to them in the human world.
A lot of them tried to catch a glimpse of Alpha Denzel, deeming it unbelievable. Most of the Alphas were already thinking about taking advantage of him in his most vulnerable moment, but Valerie heard and instantly sent a message to them.
“I hope you are not trying anything stupid. Even if Alpha Denzel is partially disabled, I believe that none of you can still match up to him in wolf form. Trust me, his wolf isn’t deformed, so think before you act.”
The attention was now drawn to her in her glamorous dinner dress. They could only look and not touch. A representative arrived from the peace council, about to begin the process before Valerie asked, “Where is Alice?”
Beta Ludwig was about to move to the stage when he looked around anxiously. “She was right here. I guess it’s because she’s shy. Let me go and find her.”
Valerie quickly stopped him. “No, it’s fine. We can make it after the coronation. Let’s not keep the representatives from the peace council waiting.”
No one saw when Alpha Tristan walked in and sat behind the Alphas. He did not want to talk about his pack, so it was better to be far from other Alphas.
Scarlet walked in, dressed like a queen with lots of diamond pins in her hair. The tail of her gown was so heavy as if it was for a coronation.
In actual fact, she was there for the coronation and went to stand right beside Ludwig with all the invited guests murmuring.
“What is going on? Is Luna Scarlet not Alpha Tristan’s Luna?” One of the Lunas asked. Scarlet heard and turned to face the guests.
“Me and Tristan are no more. Alpha Ludwig is my mate, and he invited me to discuss our future, which is the coronation. Isn’t it, Ludwig?” She asked with hope in her eyes before her gaze met that of Valerie, and she was instantly uneasy.
