Chapter 233: Chapter 233 – They Found Her
Scarlet regretted many things, including not getting pregnant by Tristan. Many Lunas and pack members would do anything for a child, but it was not the same for Scarlet.

She did not want her body to undergo the changes that came with pregnancy. It was true that she had severed ties with her pack, but if she had allowed herself to get pregnant, Tristan would have surely taken pity on her. But now, there was nothing of that sort.

For someone who hated strenuous activities, she was soon tired of running after Tristan’s car for so long and had even removed her shoes after tripping and falling twice.

However, she could not bear to walk back to the pack, as that might take her a week at least. Her wolf would get her there faster than Tristan.

Scarlet took her chances and arrived in wolf form at her pack gate. After shifting, she could not find any emergency clothes as there were none outside the gate. Thus, she had to meet her pack’s gate warriors naked.

“Open up,” she ordered the warrior at the gate but was surprised by the response.

“You are no longer a pack member. Only the Alpha can permit you.” The guard did not even look at her, despite the fact that she was naked, and did not care to get her any emergency clothes.

After how rudely she severed ties with them, she did not deserve their sympathy as well. Tristan had not yet arrived, and Scarlet wondered how long she was going to wait there.

Pitifully, she hid herself behind some bushes. Since when did her life become like this? She used to be the princess of this pack, but everything changed after what she did to Valerie.

An hour passed with a few more minutes before she heard the horn of Tristan’s car and came out of the bushes. Tristan glanced at her before saying something to the warriors. Then he drove away.

“Here,” the chief warrior at the gate tossed an emergency cloth in her direction, but she had to walk from the gate to the packhouse by herself.

For someone who carried herself like a queen, it was just like a walk of shame for her to walk in her emergency clothes, looking red and exhausted.

Pack members gawked, but nobody spoke about it. By the time she reached the packhouse, Tristan had moved his things to the Luna’s chamber, leaving the Alpha chamber for her.

For as long as she lived in the pack, he still could not deny her the right to the pack since she was the late Alpha’s daughter, but he would no longer share a room with her.

Scarlet hid away in the chamber, drowned in her shame and unable to face anyone. How long she was going to live in this sea of shame, no one had the answers to.

At the Black Fur Pack, the long-awaited moment arrived after a beta was chosen and the coronation formalities completed.

“Members of the Black Fur Pack, visiting Alphas, Lunas, and Betas, I pronounce to you the new Alpha of the Black Fur Pack, Alpha Ludwig.”

There were cheers and congratulatory messages all around, and while the beta took care of the refreshments, Alpha Ludwig was going around with Luna Valerie and Alpha Denzel to look for Alice.

Ludwig knew that Alice was already a slippery one, but not when she had been so enthused to see Valerie.

“Luna Valerie, Alpha Denzel, please make yourselves comfortable at the VIP section. I will get the warriors to search for her whereabouts,” Alpha Ludwig politely said, but Valerie could not allow it, afraid that the girl must be in some kind of trouble.

With her strong instinct, she just could not allow the warriors to do the search alone. “No. Think about the possible places she could be. Is she being bullied?” Valerie asked directly, and Alpha Ludwig went into deep thought.

“I’ve heard rumors, but whenever I questioned her, she said everything was fine.”

The response only increased Valerie’s worry, but Alpha Denzel was also disturbed about making it to the full moon.

Valerie had to be at her pack for the transformation to happen since this was not her original wolf.

Missing it could result in dire consequences. From the wheelchair Alpha Denzel sat on, he said to Ludwig, “Please excuse us for a moment.”

Ludwig created a distance between them, using the opportunity to mindlink the warriors to begin the search.

“Val, we have to leave now if we have to make it on time for the full moon.” There was no amusement in Alpha Denzel’s tone, showing his seriousness.

Valerie was puzzled, as she was not one to go against her promise. In this instance, she felt strongly that something was wrong with Alice.

“So do you want us to leave her? She could die from bullying, you know.”

Alpha Denzel hated bullies as well and thought of something fast. “We can instruct Ludwig to continue the search and return as soon as the transformation is over.”

“It won’t take more than thirty minutes, and we can journey back here.”

“Denzel, what if something is being done to her as we speak?” Valerie was filled with so much worry and could not help thinking of the worst.

“Okay, let’s continue the search. It would have been faster if not for this wheelchair.” He was already thinking about blowing up everything to stand up and help search for Alice when Alpha Ludwig suddenly yelled,

“They found her, but her condition is bad.”

“Take us there,” Valerie said and began to push Denzel’s wheelchair, following the direction Alpha Ludwig was headed. He looked so upset.
