Chapter 235: Chapter 235 – You girls did this
Unbeknownst to them, Ava desired Alpha Kendrick, but after what Alpha Denzel did to him, she had to settle for the next in line.

“You think I didn’t see? Beta Ludwig was here a few days ago, and he came last night too. Do you think you deserve to have an Alpha?”

Another slap caused Alice’s face to burn, and she wondered how long she could endure it. “I will kill you, and nobody will know,” Ava yelled.

Her friends were hit with a shockwave after hearing her reason for being so mad, but of course, she-wolves were always crushing on their Alphas, Betas, or the strongest warriors.

Alice saw the rage in Ava’s eyes and felt helpless. She pleaded, “No. Please don’t.”

As if her cries were not heard, she was tied to a chair as they began to ransack her things but found nothing worthwhile.

Ava was determined not to allow Alice to attend the coronation, feeling that Beta Ludwig must have invited her.

If word got out that this was the case, most of the girls her age would no longer succumb to her demands but rather try to please Alice to be on Beta Ludwig’s good side.

Alice was not even privy to the mind link because she had not shifted and could only hope that Beta Ludwig would come and look for her as he does when the Alpha needed to use her powers.

Ava was still scattering everything in her room when one of her informants came running in.

“Luna Valerie is looking for Alice. The warriors have been discharged, and we have to go now.”

Hope shone in Alice’s eyes. Luna Valerie kept her promise and perhaps did not want to leave until she saw her.

Alice’s heart warmed greatly, and she was happy to have helped Luna Valerie break the spell back then.

On the other hand, Ava panicked, knowing that if she let Alice go, she might tell on them.

Being less than eighteen, none of them had their wolves, so with Alice’s reddened and swollen face, anyone would suspect she had been abused.

“Then I will just kill her first,” Ava vowed, and the hope vanished from Alice’s eyes. The informant had run back to her position or better still, for cover, leaving the three women to deal with Alice.

Ava gripped Alice’s throat, choking her. Alice’s hands were tied, and none of Ava’s friends could go against her, though they knew that this could bring trouble if Beta Ludwig found out.

Pack members were not supposed to hurt each other, so the furthest they could go was mockery and jests, causing Alice emotional and mental abuse.

This time, Ava broke the rule and was causing physical abuse. Alice had no choice but to use her powers when she began to lose consciousness and was out of breath. The ropes tying her hands tore, and she sent Ava flying in the air with just a look.

However, her friends grew agitated, and Julie, being afraid, stabbed Alice in the back with the dagger when she was trying to catch her breath.

A shrill tore from Alice as the pain seared through her body.

“What have you done?” Ava fell on the floor, but her eyes were wide with panic as the understanding began to settle that Alice had some strange powers.

Perhaps this was the reason Beta Ludwig kept coming to see her. Fear began to rise inside of her as Julie, who stabbed Alice, began to accuse her.

“You said you wanted to kill her, and she almost killed you.”

“Let’s get her out of here,” Alice said, planning to run away from the pack until the dust settled. “Sally, stay and wipe the traces of blood. Let’s dump her body in the lake.”

Alice’s eyes were closed, and after her scream from earlier, no sound was heard from her, so without touching her, they thought she was dead.

Two girls carried Alice, but before making it out of the entrance, two warriors showed up. Looking at Alice, one of the warriors instantly mind-linked their new Alpha.

The other warrior snatched Alice from their hand and kept her on the small bed, trying to stop the bleeding with his shirt, which he removed after placing Alice on the bed.

The three girls looked on in horror and attempted to run, but three people arrived at the scene, blocking the entrance to the hut.

It was Alpha Denzel, on his wheelchair, followed by Alpha Ludwig and Luna Valerie. The presence of the three people caused the three girls to panic as Luna Valerie quickly rushed to the bed where the warrior pressed the shirt against Alice’s back.

She pushed the warriors away and lifted Alice to a sitting position, her bloody back resting in Valerie’s arms.

“You must be Alice,” Valerie said. Alice opened her eyes blurrily at the sound of the anxious voice, her lips stretched into a thin smile.

“Luna Valerie. You found me. Please take me with you.” She must have used all her strength to say those words, her voice breaking at the latter part as she passed out right after that.

Valerie was at a loss. Alice needed medical attention, and she was in a hurry to make it to the full moon.

Looking at the scene with the three girls shivering in the corner and the bloody girl in Valerie’s arms, it was so easy for Alpha Denzel to discern exactly what happened.

“You girls did this.” Alpha Denzel’s voice was so chilly, even Alpha Ludwig feared. This was his fault because he failed to protect Alice.

The girls were so scared at the sight of Alpha Denzel for the first time and began to turn against each other. “It was her idea,” Sally said, pointing at Ava as Ava pointed at Julie. “She is the one who stabbed her.”

“And you choked her,” Julie shot back. Alpha Denzel’s brows raised a little, as he made a final declaration of their punishment.
