Chapter 239: Chapter 239 – Which woman is she talking about?
It had been a few days since Godic arrived in Las Vegas with Alessia. The first place he took her to was his mansion, and Alessia was shocked.
“You are so rich. How come?”
Knowing that Godic was her brother’s lead bodyguard, Alessia expected him to live an average life, but this proved otherwise for her.
Godic was not surprised by the reaction and explained, “Your brother is not stingy to his workers. He treats us very well.”
Feeling proud of her brother, Alessia wrapped her arms around Godic’s neck and pecked him on the lips. “I guess he deserves a trophy for this.”
Godic did not respond, only taking her lips softly before finally pecking her on the forehead.
Alessia pulled away and went around Godic’s house without the excitement washing from her face. “I love it here.”
It gladdened Godic’s heart that Alessia was content with what he had to offer. Though she did not mention it, he felt it would be a matter of concern that he did not have maids around the mansion.
It was too big for either of them to do the cleaning. They could, but that would take too much of their time, and knowing Denzel, he would be expecting results.
“I don’t have maids because I don’t stay home a lot, but I would arrange with an agency to send two.”
Godic did not see a need for cooks, so maids should be enough for them. Standing on the balcony and taking in the view of everything going on, Alessia made her opinion known.
“If you don’t stay at home much, then what will I be doing with maids? Wherever you go, I go.”
Godic hugged her slender waist from the back and kissed the crook of her neck bearing the mark. Alessia tilted her head slightly to the side, giving him more access as she gazed at the skyscrapers.
She was about to comment on them when Godic spoke softly in her ear. “Some places are dangerous. Like now, I have to find those Alphas behind your brother’s shooting.”
Alessia turned to face him and spoke seriously. “I can help you with everything.” Then she turned around to admire the skyscrapers once more. “What do you think would happen if we had some of these in the pack?

This was something Alpha Denzel had considered before the disadvantages outweighed the advantages in a pack community.
“Don’t you think it would be disastrous during wars? How about we begin your training?” He asked softly. Alessia smiled, satisfied with his answer.
Turning around, she hugged him tightly. “Alright. I’m not used to being idle.”
The next day and after, Alessia took her training seriously, and Godic used the time to check on the clubs and casinos. Those were the places he did not want to take Alessia, so her training made it easy.
Denzel had already made arrangements for an expert to train all his employees before they begin working for him.
Valerie might be an exception as Alpha Denzel might decide to train her himself, but Godic did not think it would be the same for Alessia.
However, the rumors about Alpha Denzel being shot and bound to a wheel chair, lingered in the air. Wherever Godic went, he was questioned with suspicious gazes.
The majority knew that he would not be able to betray Don Denzel, but for their own personal hidden motives, they made him look like a criminal.
Alessia completed her training faster than expected, to Godic’s shock, and he wanted her to begin her private pilot training program, but she insisted on seeing the companies first.
She was surprised to see a picture of her brother in a wheelchair on Godic’s phone, which he explained to her. “That is how Denzel intends for the Dons behind the shooting to come out of their hiding.”
Alessia liked the plan, but before going to the office, Godic explained a few things to her in the car.
“Our world is secret, so you have to resist from using words like mate, Alpha, or Luna.”
“Then how will you explain our relationship or address you?” Alessia asked. Godic replied,
“You are my wife, and I’m your husband. Or hubby. Instead of Alpha, you use Don, Mister, Sir, and so on. Instead of Luna, you use Miss, Mrs., and so on.”
Alessia nodded her head as the understanding sank in. “I will remember all that.”
Arriving at the office, she insisted on seeing Denzel’s office first. Surprisingly, Aurora was with Cornelia when they arrived.
Godic realized that the two were becoming very close. He would have reprimanded Aurora for not being in her office, but looking at his wristwatch, it was lunchtime.
Still, he could not help but suspect that Aurora was waiting for Don Denzel. “Godic, where have you been? Where is Don? And who is this woman?” Aurora asked all at once.
Over a week ago, Don Denzel returned with a woman. Today, it was Godic also, with a strange woman.
Godic explained in a stern tone, knowing that Aurora loved to flirt. The best way to prevent her from doing so was being strict and keeping her at bay.
“Don would not be around for a while, and this is my wife, Alessia.”
The news was like the sun shining in the night. So strange to their ears.
“Your wife? You did not even have a girlfriend, and now you have a wife. Where is she from anyway? Is Don aware? Can’t you see that the woman with him carries bad luck? She comes into his life and boom. He was shot and bound to a wheel chair.”
Aurora did not know where to draw the lines, especially when she had received Denzel’s kindness.
Alessia was trying hard to keep calm, so as not to cause problems for Godic, but Aurora’s attitude reminded her so much of Adira back then, and she could not help asking,
“Which woman is she talking about?” She was so enraged and ready to throw a punch if it was indeed what she suspected that this involved Valerie…
