Chapter 241: Chapter 241 – Time to pay her dues
Alessia lost her patience and, though she wanted to prove to Denzel that she could handle things on her own, she realized that since Denzel had not taken those documents with him to the pack, only his voice would make an impact.

“Godic, let me talk to Denzel. They all have to be fired.”

The three women mocked her, thinking that she was trying to use reverse psychology on them. “You are the one to be fired. You don’t fit in here, and besides, Godic is just a bodyguard,” Aurora retorted.

Godic was amazed by her utterance, but then again, it was understandable that Aurora had been nice to him before because she wanted to get close to Denzel.

Alessia glared at Godic, and he knew how much trouble awaited him if he refused to act immediately.

He dialed Denzel’s number and activated the speaker to avoid making them assume he was making arrangements with anybody to fake being Don Denzel.

Alpha Denzel answered and said instantly, “Godic, I’m busy.” Expecting Godic to hang up, he instead said, “Denzel, I’m sorry, but it’s very urgent.”

They were surprised that he did not address Don Denzel by his title but rather his first name and wanted to assume that the person was fake. But who could fake Don Denzel’s voice like that?

Their anxiety took a different turn when they heard a female voice in the background. Aurora could not help but feel it was that woman with the bad luck again.

“I will go shower,” Valerie said in the background. Aurora and Cordelia’s faces turned green, but Lordina looked rather lost, not knowing when the Don began to welcome women into his life.

“Won’t you want to speak to Alessia? It’s Godic on the line.” They heard Don Denzel’s voice loud and clear.

His voice was one no one could imitate due to how sophisticated and domineering it was.

“You are using Alessia as an excuse to keep me here, but it’s fine. Hey, Aless?”

Now the three women had no doubt that Alessia was indeed sent to take over the companies by the Don himself.

Godic must have been very smart to marry the Don’s sister to become his in-law. The smile on Alessia’s face was priceless, making it obvious that she and the Don’s woman shared something very special.

“Val, is everything okay?”

Valerie’s voice carried a blend of fatigue and excitement. “Better than I thought, but I’m so tired now. Let’s talk about it tomorrow. We just returned…”

“I think you can go shower now,” Denzel said and took over. He felt that Godic was having issues in the office, and Valerie would not know that the phone was on speaker.

It was easy for Alpha Denzel to make out when Valerie spoke to Alessia without them hearing Godic say she was giving the phone to her, meaning it was on speaker.

“Aless, are you alright?” Denzel asked. The three women were now sweating. Alessia made it worse with the report she gave her brother.

“Yes, Denz, but you should have told me how rude your employees are. Should I fire them?”

The three women’s frightened expressions worsened when Denzel responded, “If they deserve it, why not? Just make sure to get a better replacement, or you’ll be overwhelmed with work.”

Alessia stared at the three tigresses who now looked like ants before responding. “Alright. I will give it a second thought.”

As Godic was about to end the call, Lordina feared being exposed since Godic already made her out and spoke directly to the man at the other end of the line.

“Don, I’m sorry. I only thought Godic was trying to steal from you.”

“You are the suspicious one,” Godic spoke angrily at Lordina, not allowing her pretense to hold water.

Godic and Alessia were not amateurs in business. If Denzel left the fort for them, then he trusted in their abilities and expected them to act on it.

“Godic, Aless, I told you that you are in charge. Please don’t disturb me. I’m so tired.”

Alessia frowned at her brother’s words. Denzel was never one to express so much tiredness. Valerie had also said she was tired. Alessia was curious to know about the happenings in the pack.

“Why are you both tired? Don’t answer. I will call Valerie tomorrow.”

Alpha Denzel wanted to tell her the good news but could not do so now. He was just glad Alessia would call Valerie to hear the good news and celebrate with them.

No more would people pick on her wolf because if they dared, they would be in for a surprise. Godic equally had good news for him.

“Denzel, I got what you asked for too, so let me know the way forward.”

Having worked for long, Denzel instantly made out that the location of the three dons had been spotted.

“Thanks, just keep a tab on them and let me discuss with Val. After that, you will know our decision.”

Valerie wanted to be the one to teach the assholes a lesson, so how could Denzel take that from her?

“Alright. I will be waiting for your call, but Aless has really been a good girl,” Godic said proudly. Alessia blushed as Denzel responded from the other end of the line.

“I’m glad to hear that, but I hope she worked on the sal…”

“Enough. Go to sleep.” Alessia ended the call. Why won’t Denzel stop mentioning the salt and pepper thing? She had to find a way to make him stop.

Godic laughed at Alessia’s sudden reaction before facing Lordina and asking. “Lordina, shall we go to your office now?”

Lordina’s head lowered, and she fidgeted a little before saying, “Okay.” It was not as if she had a choice.

At the evergreen pack, Valerie had showered and was sleeping by the time Denzel was through with the call. He went to shower and slept beside her. A few hours later, it was time for her to start paying her dues.

Alpha Denzel pulled her into his arms, stunned when she opened her eyes. “Are you ready now? Can we mark and mate with each other?” Valerie asked with a rare eagerness that spark every desire in him.
