Chapter 318: Chapter 318 – My Pack Isn’t for Rogues
It was crystal clear that Fusion had organized the rogues to retaliate against Alpha Denzel, but he remained calm about it.

“Fusion, isn’t that your name?” Alpha Denzel asked. Fusion nodded. “It is.”

Just as he had told the rogue Alpha, he was not going to let Raven and Roy leave their community without them.

If Alpha Denzel could make room for two, then he could make room for ten, twenty, or even a hundred.

“My pack isn’t for rogues,” Alpha Denzel stated firmly.

Every rogue standing before him must have committed some crime or the other in their packs, except for the born rogues.

“What about those two?” Fusion leisurely pointed at Raven and Roy. It annoyed him that the rogue Alpha was trying to make his children live comfortably while the rest of them remained in misery.

“They were born rogues, meaning they were just victims of their parents’ mistakes. You were rejected from your pack,” Alpha Denzel pointed out, exposing Fusion.

Ashamed, Fusion began to shift the blame. “There are other born rogues.”

Alpha Denzel’s expression was unreadable as he replied, unfazed. “They are not my concern. These ones earned it. They rescued my father and treated him.”

Warmth radiated in Alpha Lawn and Ashley’s hearts due to Alpha Denzel referring to them as his family.

It seemed that Tristan’s betrayal had brought them good fortune.

Fusion did not seem ready to let things slide. If at least one person among his circle of friends left, he was sure to continuously receive information about the Evergreen Pack and find his way there.

“They would also not have stayed if we had not agreed.”

Denzel chuckled. These days, he was not like the iceberg people knew him to be, thanks to his mate, Valerie.

“I made the exception because they proved themselves worthy, but what you are doing now is the exact reason why I would never allow any of you into my pack.”

The tone of his voice grew stern, earning remorseful looks from the rogues. They stared accusingly at Fusion, and in an attempt to find a way out of the situation, he accused Denzel.

“You never intended it from the beginning.”

A mocking smile raised the corner of Denzel’s lip as he asked, “Roy, what did I say before we left your house?”

Roy was taken aback by the question but remembered the answer vividly. “You said that if we behave well, then there might be room for our parents and others.”

Vividly, the others could be any of the rogues standing there. Alpha Denzel was merciless with his words.

“Now you messed up your chance. You would riot in my pack and cause insubordination if I let you in, so for that, I say no.”

He indeed planned to. If these ones were of good behavior, he believed he could speak to Valerie about it for them to be taken in, but this showed that these rogues had not learned their lessons.

“We can change,” one of them said, as Fusion now had lost his tongue, wearing a defeated look on his face, but it was too late.

“I don’t have time to take care of babies, and you haven’t proven to be adults yet,” Alpha Denzel said as he went around the car and opened the trunk, lifting up a bag of cash.

If they were mature enough, they would not have done this, so now their opportunity was gone.

“As for now, this is the best I can do, and I hope that you really change for the better.” Alpha Denzel dropped the bag of money in front of Fusion, and when he squatted to open the bag,

Alpha Denzel beckoned Raven to go first before leading Alpha Lawn to sit beside her at the back. Then Roy sat beside them.

When they sat in the car, Ashley sought Denzel’s permission when they saw how excited the rogues were for the money.

“Can I tell them something? I don’t want them to end up hurting the rogue Alpha.”

“Go ahead,” Alpha Denzel shrugged. Ashley stepped out of the car and walked back to them.

“I am yet to reclaim my pack and would need some allies. If you guys change for the better during my next visit, I might consider bringing some of you in.”

Joy shone in their eyes as she went back to sit in the car. Alpha Denzel heard everything and was quite disturbed.

“Are you sure about this?” He asked Ashley. She nodded, knowing these rogues would not pass the test.

Alpha Denzel opened the door and spoke to them in a raised voice. “You heard her. I will have someone keep watch over you to see who passes the test.”

Due to the money, they were excited and did not resist anymore. As Alpha Denzel drove, he advised Ashley.

“I wouldn’t advise you to take in a rogue when you are going to rebuild your pack. They can easily pass on information to fellow rogues in other communities and attack you.”

With her head nodding in understanding, she replied, “I know. I’ve been with them.”

“Then why did you make the offer?” Denzel asked curiously. She smiled and replied.

“Because I know they won’t pass my test.”

Denzel chuckled and shook his head. “I guess you are savvier than your kid sister.”

Ashley laughed. “Hahaha, how is she doing?”

“Suspicious,” Denzel answered honestly. Ashley understood it quite well.

“She will be very proud of you when she sees us.”

Denzel nodded but did not say anything more. The rest of the journey was in silence, and Roy and Raven never took their eyes off the window, taking in the view of everything they saw on their way.

When the gates of the Evergreen pack opened, they felt as though they had entered heaven. Despite being rogues and hunting a lot, it was as if they had never seen such greenery in their lives.

The Evergreen pack showcased nature with its well-trimmed trees, lawns, and grass, giving the pack a luxurious appearance.

Denzel parked in front of the pack house and was met by Burke. “Alpha?”

Denzel pointed at the people in the back seat before instructing him. “Watch them. I will go in with Ashley first.”

Burke smiled in agreement as Denzel went in with Ashley following him from a distance. Ashley was surprised when a hard slap sent her head turning to the left.
