‘Alpha, Beta Hugo from the Yellowstone Pack is here,’ the warrior at the gate said. Alpha Denzel stiffened instantly, wondering if Alpha Tristan suspected something.

It was wise to not leave any clues that could make them run away or miss the function. Alpha Denzel believed in an eye for an eye, hitting where it hurts the most.

‘Tell him to wait. I will send someone to come and meet him.’ Alpha Denzel disconnected the mindlink and called Burke over.

Valerie had been the right person since she was the Luna, but the fact that it was her coronation made it impossible.

She could not leave the pack or walk around leisurely. After today’s training, she would not have the opportunity to show her face in front of the pack until the coronation day.

These were all ways to add suspense and anticipation to the D-day.

“Go to the gate and meet Beta Hugo. Address his concerns and tell him it’s rather unfortunate that no one can be allowed into the pack until the day of the coronation,” Alpha Denzel said to Burke.

“Yes, Alpha,” Burke smiled and responded, as the warrior’s eyes glued on Valerie and Ashley.

They looked like twins, especially when Valerie had given Ashley one of her training attires.

There was just a slight difference in their skin tones, with Valerie’s skin slightly lighter than Ashley’s, due to the harsh life Ashley suffered at the rogue community.

Even the twins had a much darker skin tone since they were born rogues.

“Like I said, everything we talk about today remains here. That is our Luna’s elder sister, Ashley Lawn. The last surprise would be in a few days, during the coronation.”

That’s why Alpha Denzel decided not to introduce Alpha Lawn to them yet, and he was just as excited as the people they invited for it.

Certain that none of their meeting halls would host it, their plan was to host everything in the middle of the pack, with the hope that the weather would be favorable to them.

The warriors, with excitement and anticipation, went to welcome Ashley and commented, “You look like twins.”

“That’s what people say,” Ashley replied with a smile.

“It’s time for training, and our Luna is in charge,” Alpha Denzel’s voice cut through their excitement.

Valerie’s stunned eyes met his, but he quickly looked away, giving her the room to lead. Alpha Denzel merely took a step away when another mindlink zapped through his mind, but this time, it was from Burke.

‘Alpha, he insists on seeing Luna Valerie.’

At the gate, Beta Hugo was disappointed to see Burke instead of Alpha Denzel. He wanted to see Alpha Denzel to plead with him to see Luna Valerie.

“I’m sorry, but we can’t allow any visitors in the pack during the preparations for the coronation,” Beta Burke spoke politely. Beta Hugo equally pleaded.

“I’m also begging you. It’s very necessary.”

Not wanting to create any conflict for the beta to carry home to discourage Tristan from attending, Burke thought carefully of a way.

“Tell me what the problem is, and I will know whether or not I can make the consideration.”

Embarrassment flung Beta Hugo, and his face shone with disapproval. “No. I can’t tell you. It’s a secret.”

Burke sighed. He knew that the Alpha did not want to let Beta Hugo into the pack because of Alpha Lawn and Ashley, so he quickly mindlinked Alpha Denzel.

The response was prompt. ‘I’m coming over.’

With Valerie in charge of training, Alpha Denzel had nothing more to worry about and drove to the gate since it was quite far from the training center.

“Beta Hugo, to what do we owe this visit?” Alpha Denzel asked as soon as he stepped out of the car. Beta Hugo felt intimidated and took a step back.

It was clear that when one had an honest and dignified Alpha, it permeated around the pack and its members as well.

“Alpha Denzel, thank you for agreeing to see me. A snowstorm hit our pack last night, and all our products are frozen in the snow with nothing to sell.”

Beta Hugo swallowed nervously before gathering the courage to continue with his request.

Alpha Tristan should have been the one to come but feared he would not be given any form of attention, and having reached this point, there was no turning back.

“Your invitation seemed rather mandatory, so our Alpha has asked if Luna Valerie would be kind enough to give us the code to the safe.”

He coughed awkwardly as his gaze met that of Alpha Denzel’s expressionless face.

“You know, Luna Scarlet has to look good for her elder sister’s coronation. Our Alpha cannot also leave the pack in its current state for the coronation and…”

Alpha Denzel found the request annoying and rather cut in. “I can’t convince her to give you access to the safe, but I can give you money to cater for your immediate needs.”

Beta Hugo smiled, unaware that Alpha Denzel’s only purpose was to get them to the coronation.

There would be nothing more for him to do on that day, but he had to make sure that every Alpha who saw Valerie’s humiliation would also witness her honor and rise to greater fame and dignity.

“Burke, give them some money,” Alpha Denzel said and drove away. Burke did as told, and when Beta Hugo received the money, the amazement sent the message that Valerie no longer held a grudge against her sister, Scarlet.

A few hours later, training was over, and returning to the pack house, Valerie headed into the woods, dragging her elder sister along and sending fearful shivers around the latter.

She had no idea that Alpha Denzel had been spying on her, wondering what she was up to.

Ashley was equally afraid of her junior sister, as she was not at the same level of strength she was when Ashley left the pack.

Valerie had received training from the best, so Ashley would not be able to defeat her in a fight.

“Val, I hope you understand that I have nothing going on with Alpha Denzel,” Ashley said, searching through her junior sister’s eyes for any signs of conviction.
