“How are you feeling?” Alpha Denzel asked, care lacing his voice, as he expected something like this.

The coronation was supposed to activate Valerie’s powers, as they were not meant for her but rather the pack and anyone who might need it.

He saw the change in her eye color, the cornea turning as clear as water.

Valerie could not keep to herself, feeling slightly feverish and cold.

Then her emotions were equally soaring high, she had no control of it and the sound of the raindrops kept increasing.

“Denzel, I feel strange but I don’t know what is happening. I feel like I need fresh air.”

That was what she was thinking but Denzel knew it was far from that.

The silent ways she could spy on people and the change in the color of her eyes with the increasing sound of the raindrops left a lot to be investigated.

Denzel held her hand, pulling her gently from her chair, and guiding her to sit on his lap, jaws dropped.

It was surprising to see that the cold man was rather a mate pamperer.

The softness of his eyes and voice, as he spoke to his Luna, not caring about all the people present, made the she-wolves, including the mated ones, question the depth of true love.

It would have been okay with anyone but no one expected it from Alpha Denzel.

He spoke to the hearing of only Valerie. “I really hope you can control it. It must be your powers. I can see it in your eyes.”

Valerie’s eyes widened, wishing there was a way to see what Denzel was talking about.

“How does it look?”

Their gazes locked as Denzel vividly explained it to her.

Valerie leaned in, speaking into his ears but the sorrow lacing her voice caused his heart to ache.

She could remember everything as if they were happening in front of her.

If not for her father, he would have allowed her but Alpha Lawn had to finish what he started before anything else.

“We have to learn what to do with your powers later but try being happy. Everyone is watching you. Let’s see if it can be controlled.”

Valerie rested her head on his strong shoulders like a spoiled brat. “How can I be happy when Tristan and Scarlet are here?”

She felt the pain as if it was happening at that very instant, Alpha Denzel felt it through the mate bond too and sought ways to curb it.

“You can be happy for the fact that I am here and so is your father, Ashley, and Alessia. Everyone is here because of you. Perhaps, if you tune your anger to gratitude for the fact that Tristan’s rejection bonded you to me, it wouldn’t be so hard, would it?”

Valerie pulled away and held his soft gaze. His words numbed her pain instantly and she could feel all her anger dissipating.

“I love you, Denzel,” she said, the sound of the raindrops gradually subsided until no one could hear it anymore.

Alpha Denzel smiled at her, as everyone wondered, what exactly happened. Where from the sound of the raindrops and how did it stop?

Only Alpha Denzel understood it all “There, you did it and that’s why I love you so much.”

Valerie shook her head “No. We did it.”

Everyone began to clap for them. “This is a match made in the ethereal realm.” Luna Fernanda had tears in her eyes as she spoke, emotions arose, as Denzel held Valerie to his chest.

One of the Alphas, Alpha Calypso, stood on his feet, unable to contain the suspense anymore.

“Alpha Lawn. We are confused here. Are you saying that Luna Scarlet, Alpha Tristan, and these two warriors orchestrated your death?”

As the understanding was sinking in, everyone geared up, about to pounce on Scarlet and Tristan.
