Chapter 352: Chapter 352 – Our Son-in-Law Is Very Tough
Raven was unsure whether she should go help Alpha Lawn or Alpha Denzel, but what kind of help could she possibly provide? Alice’s hands were burning red, yet the python showed no signs of weakness.

Alpha Denzel attempted to divert the python’s attention from Alice, but his efforts were in vain. There were no sharp instruments in sight, and he feared harming Alice if he tried to physically attack the python or shift.

This was no ordinary python; it was a spirit. Alpha Denzel enjoyed engaging in battles of wits with spirits, but this one took a different form before he could even begin.

It was completely unexpected and he wished he had brought Valerie along. Her powers would have helped a great deal.

“Alice, move away!” he yelled, but Alice’s eyes remained closed, her hands pressed together, burning so intensely that her skin was peeling off.

Alpha Denzel felt disheartened as he shook her by the shoulder, but she seemed as immovable as a monument. He attempted to lift her from where she stood, but the petite girl felt as heavy as a rock, unyielding.

Raven felt helpless but handed the rope and pliers to Alpha Lawn, who eagerly received them. If he could only rescue his little wolf quickly, he could then assist Alpha Denzel.

“Little wolf, I will get you out,” he assured her, but Alma was worried. She was angry for rejecting most of the meals given to her because she wanted to die to prevent the old witch from feeding on her beauty.

The old witch provided her with the best meals, so she would live long and healthy but Alma rejected most of them.

Her punishment for rejecting the food was to be locked in the well.

If she had eaten well, she would have been stronger, but how could she have known that help would come?

She used to have hope, but that changed when she saw a video of everything that happened after she was kidnapped.

Alpha Lawn thought she was dead and would never try to find her.

“She will kill you,” Alma warned him, but Alpha Lawn had faith in Denzel’s abilities.

“Our son-in-law is very tough,” he said confidently, causing Alma to ponder.

‘Son-in-law?’ the middle-aged woman thought to herself. It meant that one of her daughters had already found their mate. She had no idea how many years had passed since she was held captive.

Had it been so long that her daughters were now adults? She thought only a few years had passed, not this long.

In fact, she had stopped hoping, stopped expecting. The sound of metal crashing against the other was so harsh in her ears that she shivered, covering both sides of her ears with her hands.

“It’s been so long, and yet these metals do not rust,” Alpha Lawn cursed, his hope dwindling after repeatedly hitting the metal padlock without any sign of it breaking.

Normal padlocks would have been destroyed by now.

“Claudia said they were enchanted,” Alma’s voice echoed from the distance between the bottom and top of the well. Claudia was the name of the old witch.

Alpha Lawn was sweating profusely. Raven had no idea how to break spells, and Alma was too weak to do anything.

“If it’s enchanted, then we’ll need Alice’s powers,” Raven thought aloud. But when Alpha Lawn turned to look at Alice, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

“No, we have to find another way.” Then a thought crossed his mind. “Alma, do you know of any weaknesses in Claudia’s powers? She transformed into a python.”

Alma was afraid of dying just as her mate brought her hope. Was this how the Moon Goddess intended to punish her after all these years of suffering?

To see her mate come to her rescue but be unable to save her? “Unless there is someone with magic. If Claudia dies, the padlock will break.”

Alpha Lawn felt a slight sense of relief. He had to help kill Claudia quickly. “Alma, I have to help them kill Claudia. I’ll be back.”

Turning around, he heard a weak voice from the well. “There’s another problem. If Claudia dies, this whole place will collapse before I can get out.”

Alpha Lawn felt helpless, and Raven, physically weak, could only rely on one person: the one who flew the chopper.

“Let me get Godic to help us,” Raven said and ran to the chopper. As soon as Godic saw her through the cockpit, he got down and hurried towards her.

“What’s the problem?” he asked eagerly, bending over to avoid the strong wind from the spinning rotor blade.

“The steel won’t break,” Raven said, fear evident in her eyes.

Godic tried to remain calm as he thought of a solution. He didn’t return to the chopper, leaving the engine running as he followed Raven. Remembering Claudia’s warning, she turned to inform him.

“She said that if that witch dies, this whole place might collapse.”

Godic was already considering how to move the chopper and still allow others to join him.

This was why Alpha Denzel preferred helicopters to private jets. They could land anywhere and were more suitable for situations like this.

“I have an idea. Bring the rope.”

As Raven ran to get the rope, Godic sat in the chopper and moved closer. Due to the blades, there was a limit to how close he could get.

“Throw the rope,” he instructed, and Raven complied.

As soon as he caught it, he anchored it to the landing skid before getting down from the chopper and running towards her.

Godic had no doubt that Alpha Denzel and Alice would defeat the python, so his only concern was getting them on the chopper before the landslide began.

Reaching the well, he took the pliers and struck the padlock repeatedly, but even with all his strength, it remained intact.

“It’s enchanted. Can you help Alpha Denzel and Alice?” Raven asked tearfully. She must have been exposed to harsh conditions all her life, but this was her first-time facing death so closely.

Godic didn’t know how either, but suddenly, they heard the sound of the padlock opening.
