Chapter 353: Chapter 353 – She’s Too Weak
Earlier, Alpha Denzel was unable to move Alice, and with the python not changing direction or even looking his way, he had a feeling that Alice was somehow controlling it.

When he stood in front of Alice, all movements stopped, but the burn was becoming worse. The python did not try to attack him when he stood in front of Alice, meaning she was the target.

‘What do we do?’ He asked Brutus, who was equally helpless.

‘We fight werewolves and not spirit pythons. Give the girl a chance,’ Brutus suggested, but Alpha Denzel had no idea if Alice would really succeed at this and could not allow anything bad to happen to her.

‘What if she doesn’t make it? It would be our fault,’ he pointed out to his wolf, but Brutus has always been fearless.

‘I’m ready to take the blame. What about you?’

‘Same,’ Alpha Denzel agreed.

On the same page with his wolf, Denzel moved out of the way, and as soon as that happened, the fire burning in Alice’s hand transferred to the python.

Alpha Denzel was shocked by what was happening. Alice knew what she was doing, but the fact that she was burning so much without anything he could do to help her pained him so much.

The python vibrated for a while, its tail wagging defenselessly before it turned charcoal black.

Alice fell on the floor, unconscious, and Denzel quickly carried her in his arms. When he looked in the direction of the well, he was disappointed that Alma was still trapped in there.

“What’s going on?” He yelled, his voice dominating the sound of the rotor blade and engine sound.

“She can’t hold the rope firmly,” Godic answered, adding, “she’s too weak.” Alma’s hands were shaking and could not firmly grasp the rope, so Godic was afraid she might fall if he began to pull up the rope.

Denzel wanted to drop Alice in the chopper before coming back for Alma, but a crack like the sound of an earthquake was heard, sending fearful shivers into all those present.

“What is going on?” Denzel asked, not knowing the extent of the powers of the witch to cause an earthquake even after her death.

Raven replied. “This whole place is going to collapse.”

Alpha Denzel changed direction and ran to the well. Seeing the rope anchored to the landing skid, he ordered. “Godic, put her in the chopper and move it.”

He entrusted Alice into his hand, but Godic was worried as the side where the python laid before broke. An old unrecognizable woman lay there. That was Claudia’s real form; after exchanging so many lives with hers, the souls of those women had all been liberated.

Alice’s powers had done a lot to Claudia that she would not be able to recover from, but then, Alice might be unconscious for days.

Claudia was dead, but the things she did had to be undone. When the next part broke and slid away, Claudia’s old wretched body fell with it, to wherever it was going under the earth.

“Everyone, join the chopper,” Denzel ordered, his eyes red. He couldn’t lose anyone as that was not his style.

Godic obeyed and ran to the chopper with Alice in his arms and Raven following him, but Alpha Lawn refused to go. This was his mate, so if death was coming, then it had to take them both.

“I’m not leaving Alma,” he said defiantly. Alpha Denzel was beginning to have a headache.

This was not the time to argue about these kinds of things when there was so much at stake.

The resolve in his eyes transformed to hastiness as he spoke. “Dad, please trust me.”

Alpha Lawn trusted him and did not say anymore, rather running towards the chopper, just as another landslide occurred. Alma’s weak scream from the bottom of the well could be heard, but Denzel grabbed the tip of the rope and jumped inside the well.

There was no water, and no one could tell if it was due to the nature of the land or also because of Claudia’s spells. At this moment, they were happy there was no water because if that had been the case, then Alma would have died from the cold.

There were tears in Raven’s eyes, afraid Alpha Denzel and Luna Alma might die due to the speed of the landslide.

Godic equally wanted to wait a while, but the side where the chopper was parked was beginning to slide, so he began to fly the plane after buckling Alice safely.

“Godic, can’t you wait a while?” Raven pleaded with him, afraid of leaving Alpha Denzel and Luna Alma behind.

Godic’s eyes were red as tears formed in them, but this was the best he could do. “If I delay anymore, everyone would perish.”

He was flying the helicopter higher, but all eyes focused on the well, as it became smaller and smaller with every level they climbed. Godic flew over it, going higher till he felt a weight.

With the tip of the rope in the well, only one person could hold onto the rope. “I think I got them,” he said with hope as he caught sight of Alpha Denzel shooting up with dust all over his body. The black suit he wore turned brown, and so were his hair and face.

His one hand held the rope, and another one wrapped tightly around the fragile woman.

Alpha Lawn’s eyes lit up when he saw the woman in his arms, grabbing tightly to him. Godic put the helicopter on auto-drive and went to pull them up.

Alpha Lawn and Raven were both afraid of height and were also not knowledgeable of how these machines worked.

Having recovered from motion sickness a while ago, another one kicked in, and Raven felt like puking. As such, she closed her eyes tightly.

Godic pulled up Alpha Denzel and Luna Alma inside the chopper alone before Alpha Lawn got to them.

Alma was unconscious due to the shock, but Denzel was so grateful for Godic’s presence, help, and thoughtfulness. “Thanks, Godic,” he said with relief, as Godic went to sit at the pilot’s side.

When Denzel saw Raven, he did not know whether to laugh or ignore her. “Raven, you can open your eyes now.”

She opened her eyes, looking embarrassed, but as soon as she saw the unconscious woman, her eyes lit up, and she geared into action.

However, she stiffened slightly when she saw a familiar mark on the middle-aged woman’s arm.
