Chapter 356: Chapter 356 – Val, you don’t have to watch this
As soon as Alpha Denzel entered the tent with Valerie, the music was turned off. Murmurs broke out, and everyone went back to their seats.

Looking tired, Alpha Denzel had no intention of taking up much of their time. Orion looked like he wanted to pee in his pants.

Counting his sins, he knew a man like Alpha Denzel would never forgive him. Then again, another thought crossed his mind.

What if he used his powers to manipulate Alpha Denzel’s decision concerning him? Seducing spirits could be powerful in that area.

The thought warmed his heart, and he began to think about how to implement it.

Spartan walked up worriedly to Alpha Denzel, followed by Luna Fernanda and Alessia. Ashley also stood by Valerie’s side as the guests waited for news.

Alpha Denzel looked tired, and Ashley felt guilty to question him, but luckily, Alessia did so on her behalf.

“How did it go?”

“Everyone is safe, but Luna Alma needs a lot of rest. Alice and Raven are at the packhouse,” Alpha Denzel summarized.

The relief sighs on their faces were heartwarming, as Alpha Denzel was comforted by the fact that his friends were more than his enemies.

Alessia was about to ask about Godic when the latter entered after checking a few things on the helicopter. Everyone had left him, but it was understandable.

However, his fatigue disappeared when Alessia wrapped her arms warmly around him. It felt good to be in the arms of his mate once again.

Most of the people in attendance were very tired after dancing so much. “Val, did you see mom?” Ashley asked curiously, hinting at knowing her mother’s condition.

It seemed strange to her that after so many years, they were going to be reunited with their mom.

“Not clearly. Dad already took her away,” Valerie said with a sorrowful expression.

Having been starved at a party, Eileen wished the ground would open for her to enter. This was the first time she was denied a basic necessity like food or water.

Alpha Denzel walked towards her as he told Valerie, “Val, you don’t have to watch this. You and Ashley can go to the pack house.”

This was Valerie’s coronation, and he felt she should not witness anything barbaric, but Valerie equally raised the fact that her fellow Lunas were there.

“We are not the only she-wolves, but why don’t we keep her where she kept mom?” Valerie asked with a painful look.

Eileen made their mother suffer for eighteen years without anyone knowing or even thinking of rescuing her.

Alpha Denzel explained, “The place was destroyed after Claudia’s death. Val, I never felt so close to death like I was today.” He shivered slightly at the mention of his own words. The thought of never seeing Valerie again was the most painful of it all.

Valerie could only imagine exactly what happened, but Alpha Denzel wanted her to have a better understanding to not feel pity for her enemies.

“Val, your mother was in a well, locked with iron grills. Her condition was terrible, and she was too weak to even grab hold of a rope. Aside from that, the grills were enchanted, and the padlock would not open.”

Tears filled Valerie’s eyes. She imagined it as if her mother had been kept in a cage. “So how did you get her out?”

The guests equally had sympathetic looks on their faces, and their anger towards Eileen multiplied, but they were curious in knowing more.

Luna Valerie’s coronation was both amazing and sorrowful. “I had to go in there, and the moment I caught her, everything was falling apart.”

This was the first time Alpha Denzel exposed his inner fears, not only to Valerie but even to strangers.

“Val, I was scared. I was just imagining how you would feel if you found out I died in that well with your mother, but luckily, Godic had anchored the rope to the landing slide, and that was what saved us.”

Valerie smiled and hugged him. Godic has always been trustworthy, be it in Vegas or the pack, treating his Alpha, don, and brother-in-law like his blood relative.

“I felt better when I heard Godic had gone with you. I knew he would always watch out for you,” Valerie said honestly.

When she pulled away, Denzel forced a smile and revealed, “But I have to warn you. Your mother might have more terrible stories to tell you. That witch impersonated her, and after your father made her out, she turned into a python. I’m so happy you were able to help Alice.”

Another terrible moment during the rescue was watching Alice’s skin burn and being unable to do anything about it.

He had felt useless at the moment until he realized Alice was in control of whatever she was doing.

“Thank you so much, Denzel. I don’t know what I would have done without you, but what do we do with her?” Valerie glared at the woman who was the epitome of their problems on the floor.

No wonder she always looked different. Valerie and Ashley were two years apart in age but looked almost like twins.

Whereas, Scarlet looked as if she were from different parents.

“Obviously, she can’t continue living. Her rival is alive,” Alpha Denzel said thoughtfully.

As much as he would have loved to keep her alive just to continue torturing her, he also thought about getting vengeance for Alma, who was the victim of everything that transpired.

Even without asking, Valerie guessed what he meant. “Wait, why don’t we wait a few days for my mom to get better? She suffered the worst,” she suggested.

Her mother should witness the torture of her stepsister. Only if she would have the mental capacity to watch.

Valerie knew that such suffering could even cause her mother to lose her wolf. If that be the case, then her healing would take much longer than anyone expected or wanted.

Anger darkened Valerie’s gaze. “Warriors, beat her,” she ordered. Eileen’s screams filled the room when she was kicked from all angles, she began bleeding from the mouth and nose, but no one took pity on her.

Valerie’s next move crushed Eileen’s soul.
