“It’s not the first time she has tried to play such stupid tricks on me,” Denzel said, making sure to expose Orion in front of whoever empowered him.

All that was left of him were silent groans. As the spirit was about to speak, they saw chains on her hands, legs, and neck, but there was nothing holding her.

The ways of the spirit were different from those of humans. Even so, they could see that the woman was restricted, and the moment she turned to face them, they knew she was not the moon goddess but a deceiving spirit.

“If you had not forgiven Denzel, you would not have had her.” Selene was impressed by the strength of their love, even when the mate bond was taken from them. “With every challenge you overcome after they are thrown your way, your powers would grow stronger.”

Valerie looked displeased. All she wanted was to have a pup for the pack and live the rest of her life in peace.
