Chapter 361: Chapter 361 – Come back after one year
With the involvement of a mate bond, Alpha Denzel had no right to stop him but was greatly saddened.

It felt as if this was some form of repayment for taking Alice from the Black Fur pack. In Raven’s situation, he wanted to keep her under his wing and train her, being valuable to the pack, but he still had a little time to teach her how to be an asset to her pack with all her gifts.

“I won’t stop you from taking her if she turns eighteen, but as for now, she is still underage. Come back after one year.”

Alpha Denzel’s voice hinted that there was no room for negotiation, but Alpha Ludwig was displeased, as he wanted his mate under his watch.

“Alpha Denzel, please. I promise to take good care of her.”

Now he was getting Alpha Denzel upset. He had no right over Raven until she turned eighteen.

Besides, there was no way Alpha Denzel would be able to tell Raven she was Alpha Ludwig’s mate, so what reason could he give to let her go?

Even if he had a tangible reason, he was just not ready to do so. “Alpha Ludwig, in case you don’t know, Raven was born rogue. Her parents are still rogues, so what are you going to do about that?”

The revelation left Alpha Ludwig stunned. Alpha Denzel did not allow him to recover before walking away.

Alpha Ludwig stood there in a stupor. Revealing that Raven was born rogue would make the pack members disrespect her.

Swallowing tightly, he had to agree with Alpha Denzel for Raven to stay until she turned eighteen. That way, he would introduce Robin as a former member of the Evergreen pack.

That would earn her even greater respect. As much as Alpha Ludwig hated it, this seemed to be the best option so far.

The long day caused the pack house to be in peace as most of the guests had already retired to bed by the time Alpha Denzel got there.

He already knew where Valerie would be and went to knock on her father’s door.

Alpha Lawn stepped out and guessed Denzel was coming to check on Alma, so he quickly gave an update. “Raven just left. Alma is still sleeping.”

Hearing Raven’s name, Denzel was quite saddened by the acceptance that her time spent at the Evergreen pack would be a short one.

However, the only thing he could do for all of Raven’s help would be to make the Black Fur pack better for her.

With that, he would have a meeting with Alpha Ludwig, giving his conditions within that one year before Raven’s departure.

“And Valerie?” Denzel asked. Alpha Lawn frowned a little but soon guessed that perhaps Denzel had not gone to his room yet.

“I did not allow her and Ashley to see their mother yet. It’s late.”

Nodding his head, Denzel replied. “Alright. I will see you tomorrow.” He just hoped that Alma would regain consciousness soon.

With enough healthy foods, exercise, and Raven’s herbs, she would be well, but those can only be done after she regains consciousness.

By the time Denzel got to his room, Valerie had showered and was already asleep in bed. He showered and joined her, wrapping his arms around her.

News about everything that happened at the Evergreen pack already took over the packs, especially the Yellow Stone pack. Everyone there was very nervous.

Beta Hugo was equally edgy due to how nobody questioned the death of the old Alpha. Could they not have searched for the body before agreeing to coronate Tristan as Valerie suggested before?

Tristan had only agreed to do that after the coronation, and secondly, no one stood by Valerie when she was wrongly accused.

They knew the old Alpha was going to punish them, but the rumors about Luna Alma made it scarier.

Since no one had seen her yet, they could not tell her condition after so many years. However, they could still smile in the midst of the storm for the fact that Alpha Denzel was now like family to them.

They shamelessly savored the fact that he was mated to their Alpha’s second daughter. And then, there was another ally, Alpha Idris from the Litha Moon pack.

Not only would they have the Litha Moon pack but also the Evergreen pack as allies.

Beta Hugo came up with a suggestion and had a meeting with the pack members during training.

“We have all heard that Alpha Lawn is back. It would not be right for us to not go see him before his return.”

Most of the younger pack members agreed with the exception of some of the elders. “Beta Hugo, you are right. So, what do we do? Will the elders in the pack go?” One of the pack members asked, hoping that the journey would appease the old Alpha before his return.

They could not help being afraid of being punished because Alpha Lawn was fierce. “No, I have to go myself, but I will need somebody to watch my back and the pack.”

“It’s not advisable,” one of the elders said. “None of the Alphas are here, so what if an attack happens in your absence?” He asked. Beta Hugo was lost for words, mired in confusion.

When Beta Hugo thought through the words of the elder, he knew it was the right thing to do.

The mistake Tristan made all his life was the fact that he never listened or took advice from the elders.

“Okay, let’s wait for the Alpha’s return. Rogues like to attack packs without Alphas, and I’m just a beta, making it already risky, and leaving the pack would be worse. Even the Alpha would be upset with me.”

Back at the Evergreen pack, Alpha Idris could not sleep alone, knowing that his mate was in another room. Not leaving much to be desired, he went to knock on Ashley’s door. “We have to talk.”
