Chapter 372: Chapter 372 – I didn’t do it for you
“Alpha Denzel, everyone wants to say thank you for sending Alpha Ludwig over and also coming to help us,” Beta Hugo said, the pack members were eagerly nodding their heads.
“Yes, Alpha Denzel, thank you,” they chorused, but Alpha Denzel felt nothing. As he stared at them, his mind was clouded by the state in which he saw Valerie that day.
The culprits were gone, but all these people watched it as a form of entertainment.
If not for his father-in-law, Alpha Denzel would not have come. “I didn’t do it for you,” Alpha Denzel said coldly, beckoning his team to leave with him.
As they were about to shift, Beta Hugo spoke up again. “Alpha Denzel, please, can you help us send a word to Alpha Lawn?”
A scoff escaped Alpha Denzel as he glared at them. “Whatever you want to say to him, just wait until he returns.”
Without another word, they shifted and dashed into the bushes, leaving the members of the Yellow Stone Pack perplexed.
They knew their mistake, just as they knew that Alpha Lawn would not be so kind.

At the Evergreen Pack, Valerie had just escorted Alessia and Godic to the chopper, witnessing their departure before doing the same to Luna Fernanda and Spartan.
It was just a few days together but felt like they had been together all their lives.
Family was a very beautiful thing. Luna Fernanda did not want to leave without seeing her nephew and asked.
“Where is Denzel, where did he have to go so early?”
Her curiosity did nothing to move Valerie into divulging anything, and she only replied.
“You know how emergencies happen. We shall be there for Ashley’s coronation anyway.”
Those magic words did exactly what they were meant to do, as she saw Luna Fernanda smile in understanding and expectation.
“You are right about that. I can’t wait to see you.”
After a kiss on either of the cheeks, the two prominent people left with different cars, heading in different directions.
“Val, where is Denzel?” Alpha Lawn asked as soon as Valerie returned, Ashley was also just coming out of her room.
She was sleeping before Alpha Idris left and was wondering where he had gone if he was not downstairs.
“I can’t find Idris. We slept together but he seemed to have disappeared.” She whined like a lost child, and Valerie thought it rather funny by the way she was looking for a full-grown man as if he were some kind of a baby.
“He went out with Denzel. Let’s make breakfast.”
Valerie saved her the stress and was already headed to the kitchen as she spoke, so Ashley followed her, feeling as if the pack house suddenly tripled in size due to all the missing faces.
The pack house suddenly felt empty.
They were both surprised to see that Alice was already in the kitchen, as if someone had chased her out of bed, but the fact that she looked cheerful left no cause for concern.
In the course of cooking, Luna Alma descended the stairs and headed straight to the kitchen. “What are you making?” She asked with interest, scrutinizing the environment and all the ingredients.
“Pancakes,” Valerie replied. Luna Alma did not like the raw pancakes they were making.
“Let me handle it,” she said seriously. Valerie felt she hadn’t rested enough and would need to rest some more.
“Mom, don’t worry,” she tried to assure the middle-aged woman who was as willful as a three-year-old.
“You might never get to enjoy my cooking again because we have to return to our pack tomorrow.”

A sense of loneliness overwhelmed Valerie. It was okay when it was just her, Denzel, and Alessia.
Alessia left, and she slowly adjusted. Alice came along, and now, they had more people to call family, and they were leaving once more.
If she had a way, she would have made them stay, but she knew that was not possible. “Okay. We shall sit and chat while you do all the cooking.”
The middle-aged woman was delighted, but looking around, she curiously asked. “Where is Denzel and Idris?”
If she mistakenly dropped a hint, her mother would insist on returning to the Yellow Stone Pack immediately.
She even looked more stunning in one of Valerie’s white dresses, and these were moments when one could not tell the difference between Valerie, Ashley, and their mother.
“He will be back soon,” Valerie replied, but the woman looked around and realized that more faces were missing, but she remembered Godic saying he would be leaving for the human world.
“Where is Raven?” She asked curiously, wondering why the sweet girl was not in the pack house, but Valerie responded with a smile as she watched her mother cook with love.
“She’s at home, but I will get her and her brother to join us for breakfast.”
Alma was still displeased, asking. “Why isn’t she here in the pack house? There are so many rooms, but if you don’t mind, I can take her with me.”
Valerie knew that Alpha Denzel would not be happy about that arrangement, as he had made a promise to Raven’s parents.
“I will discuss with Denzel to move her to the pack house, but I doubt he would allow her to leave with you.”
“And she can share my room,” Alice added. Her room was so large; it sometimes felt lonely.
Not having had a sister before, she saw Raven as one because they were of the same age bracket.
“That’s not a bad idea,” Valerie agreed as Alma turned to Ashley.
“Ashley, you don’t have to come with us.” She wanted her to be abreast of her new pack, but Ashley was far from agreeing to it.
“Mom, there will be a lot to do at the pack. The last time I went there, it was not in perfect condition.” Not wanting to give her mother the chance to refuse, she quickly asked.
“But where is dad? I’m even surprised that you came downstairs before him.”
Valerie could swear that she caught her mother’s cheeks turn pink, wondering if…
