Chapter 377: Chapter 377 – Don’t be afraid. I trust you
Alpha Idris’s phone rang, and when he saw Alpha Denzel’s number, he panicked but answered it.

“Idris, if anything happens to Ashley, I will kill you,” Alpha Denzel said. The line died soon after, but Idris knew that if it happened, he would even kill himself before Alpha Denzel arrived.

The vows must have already been taken, but should the ball turn against Ashley, he would rather give his life for hers.

Alpha Denzel parked the car as he ended the call and said to Valerie, “We better go in wolf form. I would let Aunt Fernanda meet us with clothes.”

Valerie thought about her powers. If she could control the lake and the weather, then why can’t she travel with it?

“I think I have a better idea,” Valerie said as she joined her hand to that of Denzel. When he heard the sound of raindrops, he knew she was upset, but strangely, water filled the car, and yet, they were breathing normally and were not wet.

It was not normal water, and he was yet to understand just how her powers worked.

“What’s going on?” Alpha Denzel asked. Valerie smiled. “Just close your eyes.” As soon as he obeyed, they disappeared.

At the Litha Moon Pack, the sound of raindrops was heard, and everyone looked into the sky. “It’s going to rain,” they murmured, as they saw a cloud form.

Ashley knew it was Valerie, as she had experienced her powers before. As the rain poured on just a portion of the pack house, Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie appeared, everyone shocked except Luna Fernanda.

With an Alpha wolf and the powers from the lake, she was expectant of more surprises to come their way.

“How did they do that?” Some of the pack members asked with confused expressions, not having answers to their questions.

“Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie have grown even more powerful,” others observed.

It was obvious that they had traveled with the clouds to arrive as fast as they could.

“What’s going on here?” Alpha Denzel asked, his expression stoic as Valerie ran to her sister’s side.

“Ashley, how can you say things like that? Are you crazy?” She chastised her sister, but Ashley seemed in a daze.

So many things she kept hidden for years weighed heavily on her heart. Mahira had just resurrected them all with this challenge she put across.

“Luna Valerie, Alpha Denzel, with all due respect, Ashley has a confession to make. She sold young girls into prostitution and slept with countless men.”

“She killed innocent people, and I have proof of it all. She already vowed with her blood that if this were true, then her head should be separated from her neck and fed to vultures.”

When Valerie got the clear understanding of what Ashley had brought on herself, she was worried and thought of a way to get her out of the situation, but Alpha Denzel’s response stunned them.

“I hope the same would apply to you. If you have witnesses, then the same applies to them.”

The four girls around Mahira paled instantly, especially when Ashley had said before that she had a good explanation for her past actions.

It was okay for them if Mahira’s head was the only one on the line, but things were suddenly taking a different turn with Alpha Denzel’s arrival.

He was always known to complicate matters, but in this case, he was certain that Ashley was innocent because if she had done those things in Vegas, Denzel would have known.

Information like that was never kept from him, and Alpha Denzel knew all the people who dealt in such things, having their allies in Italy, New York, and other states and countries.

Valerie knew that Denzel loved these kinds of games, but this was her sister’s life on the line.

“Denzel, we should rather stop this from happening,” Valerie said in a panicked voice, and Idris agreed.

“Denzel, please, we shouldn’t let it happen.”

Luna Fernanda and Alpha Rick agreed with Valerie, but only Denzel stood by Ashley. “Oh yes, it’s going to happen. Ashley, what do you have to say?” He asked in a soft tone.

Her depressed mood was already heart-wrenching.

Ashley broke down for the first time in her life, and though it was not in Denzel’s personality to hug a woman who was not his, he was the only one who understood her at this moment.

He went around and embraced her; she cried even harder, her tears wetting his shirt. “Thank you for trusting me, Denzel, I didn’t do it,” she sobbed. “But it hurts when I think about it.”

Alpha Denzel discerned that it was not so simple, and for a moment, tears blurred his vision. Yet, he did not allow it to fall.

“I’m here now. Don’t be afraid. I trust you.”

His words gave Ashley the exact confidence she needed, and for a moment, Idris was jealous of the fact that he could not give her the trust and confidence Denzel gave her.

Denzel seemed to know Ashley better than Idris, her mate, and Idris was determined to change that. At the moment, it was too late, but he would make it up to her.

“It’s just unfortunate that I don’t have my witnesses here. She has hers,” Ashley said, referring to the four girls around Mahira.

For his mate’s happiness, Alpha Denzel would do anything. After all, if anything happened to Ashley, Valerie would never be the same again.

Alpha Denzel was about to call Godic to bring a helicopter when Valerie spoke seriously.

“Give us their addresses. We shall get them.”

Her powers would enable her to travel to any part of the world unless it was winter. It rarely snowed in Vegas, so she knew she could make it back in time.

Idris gave Ashley a pen and paper, hope resonating through him as she scribbled a few things on it before giving it to Valerie. However, there was a big problem.

“Please tell them that Ash needs help, but they are all humans.” Humans could not be allowed in the packs, making Mahira’s lips stretch, a smile tugging its corners.
