Chapter 380: Chapter 380 – A great reward for her kind heart
Ashley was too broken from remembering her painful ordeal. This was something she had kept inside, the reason she was finding it hard to mate Idris, though he was the rightful owner.

The pain of that ordeal was just unbearable. After something like that had been squashed in the open, she could not say she was ashamed, since she did it to save the life of those girls but could also not say that she was proud of how she lost her virginity.

Words failed her as she stared at the woman in front of her. “Let me ask you a question,” Ashley spoke with a faraway look in her eyes.

“If it had been proven that I was guilty of what you accused me of, would you have allowed me to live?”

Shame dominated Mahira’s expressions. The pack members were already against her and her witnesses looked soulless.

“I…” she was about to speak when Alpha Idris cut in.

“Even if Ashley decides to forgive you and let it go, I, Alpha Idris would not allow it. I would make sure that you are served with the punishment you proposed yourself.”

Mahira’s wails broke out, and so did that of her so-called witnesses. Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie soon arrived as Alpha Denzel spoke seriously.

Mahira and her girls’ wails could be heard everywhere around the pack but Alpha Denzel was adamant.

Mahira should not have brought up anything about an event that happened in the human world to the pack in the first place.

“Idris, do you want me to do your job for you? I can, but if I do it, then you are undeserving of my sister-in-law,” Alpha Denzel said seriously, annoyed that Alpha Idris had not passed a judgment against Ashley’s accusers.

“I know how hard it was for you but you did the right thing. If I was caught in the same situation, I would have done the same. I don’t think that Idris has anything against you, and I’m proud to have you as my big sister.”

Valerie’s words warmed Ashley’s heart, the two of them embraced each other. After pulling away, Alpha Denel added his voice.

“You are a very brave woman, Ashley. Please keep it up.” He wiped the tears from her eyes and just like that, he and Valerie left with the sound of raindrops.

Alpha Idris pulled Ashley into his arms after dispersing the pack members. It has been a long day with unexpected twists but Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie soon appeared again.

Alpha Idris and Ashley turned in their direction as Alpha Idris asked. “Did you forget something?”

Valerie smiled and replied. “I want to give her something.”

Ashley’s eyes widened questionably when Valerie ambled towards her, wondering what she wanted to give her.

Valerie was not holding anything to match her statement so Ashley asked her. “Did you forget anything?”

Valerie shook her head, a smile at the corner of her lips. “No. I figured I could share my powers with just one person. Do you want it?” She asked.

It would be unwise to force her powers on Ashley if she did not want them. Someone else might be willing to.

Ashley was shocked. “Are you kidding me? You can share your powers with me?” She could not believe it, though she desired it but Valerie confirmed it to her.

“My wolf says so.” Astrid was a compensation for all that Valerie went through so she was quite powerful, with the ability to reward the good and punish the evil or wrongdoings.

Ashley felt a surge of excitement as she asked, “but why?” If Valerie could share her powers with just one person, would it not be best that she shared it with any of her pack members?

In a case where Valerie decided on Vacation, there would be someone with similar powers to protect the pack but she decided to give it to Ashley.

They might be sisters but the fact remained that they were both in different packs now.

“Astrid said you deserve it because of your kind heart,” Valerie explained her reason for sharing her powers with her, adding, “you would need it to protect your pack.”

Ashley wiped a joyful tear from the corner of her eyes. “Of course, I accept it.”

Valerie’s heart was filled with gladness, the fact that Ashley was the one. She held Ashley’s face with both her hands.

“Look at me and don’t blink,” she instructed. The moment Ashley obeyed, a silver light from Valerie’s eyes permeated through hers, Ashley fainted but before her body touched the ground, Alpha Idris caught her.

Worry shone in Idris’s eyes but Valerie explained it calmly to him.

“She would sleep it off,” Valerie said before she disappeared with Alpha Denzel by the same means they came.

Alpha Idris carried Ashley to his room, watching over her for over thirty minutes, until her eyes snapped open. “Who are you?” she asked in a husky voice, Alpha Idris froze instantly.
