Chapter 385: Chapter 385 – Good News
It was a joyous occasion, and on Raven’s birthday, Alpha Denzel couldn’t bear to see her sad. The jade necklace looked beautiful on her, and she seemed to really like it.

“Alpha Ludwig, stay for a few hours. Your pack isn’t going anywhere, and you’re not the only one who can save it,” Alpha Denzel said, and only then did Ludwig relax.

“Okay. I will stay.”

Raven smiled, and her smile seemed to take his breath away. It was enchanting, giving him the determination to work harder.

He decided that even after bringing the pack to the level Alpha Denzel had motivated him to, he would continue to elevate it further.

The party continued with much excitement, making it a memorable one for the twins. During the celebration, Valerie received a call from Ashley.

“Val, thank you so much,” Ashley said joyfully on the line before reminding Valerie, “I sent a gift to Raven. Has she seen it?”

Ashley wanted to attend the party, but she had just arrived at her new pack, and her coronation was scheduled in a few days.

There was much to learn about her new pack before the big day. Luna Fernanda had always been like a mother to her, but there were things Ashley needed to handle herself before taking over from Luna Fernanda.

Valerie glanced in Raven’s direction. She was dancing with her twin brother, radiating more happiness than Valerie had ever seen on her face. This was what Valerie wanted for the teenage girl.

She had brought them happiness by saving their father, and now Raven deserved her own happiness.

Valerie hoped that this happiness would continue and that Ludwig wouldn’t ruin it. Ludwig was watching Raven and her brother from afar, not daring to approach them. Being allowed to stay was already more than enough for him.

“I don’t think so. All the gifts have been moved to their house, so she should see it after the party. But why were you thanking me earlier? Did I do something special?” Valerie asked Ashley over the phone.

She sounded clueless, but Ashley wasn’t surprised. What Valerie had done for her was amazing, but Valerie saw it as just another thing and wasn’t too concerned about it.

“Val, I can use my powers for many things. I’ve been practicing with Idris since I woke up this morning.”

Valerie, who hadn’t experimented much with her powers except when necessary due to her busy schedule, was very curious.

“Tell me more, and I’ll see if I can do the same.”

It would be exciting to discover that she could do more with her powers than what she was currently doing, and Ashley shared her experiences.

“Val, I used my powers to fill a glass with water, but when I poured it out, the water suspended in the air. And guess what?”

“What?” Valerie asked eagerly. Ashley continued, “The water stayed suspended in the air.”

Valerie’s excitement waned at the end of Ashley’s explanation. “That sounds like you’ve been playing around.”

There was nothing intriguing about being able to suspend water in the air if it couldn’t save lives.

Ashley giggled on the line. “I knew you would say that, but that’s not all. I used it to suffocate Idris. Then this morning, I tried it on the warriors during training, and guess what?”

“It worked?” Valerie guessed correctly, excited by the revelation. How wonderful it would be to suffocate enemies during a battle and spare her warriors the stress of fighting to the death.

“Yes, it worked on all of them, and the best part was they had no idea I was behind it.” Ashley was laughing like a fool.

Valerie liked the idea but wasn’t sure if she could do the same.

“That’s a great discovery, but can you try to see if you can travel with it? If you can, then it means we can do the same things,” Valerie suggested as Ashley asked,

“How do I do that?”

“First, you have to imagine where you want to go and how you want to get there.”

Ashley closed her eyes on the line, letting her imagination run wild, but she soon expressed disappointment.

“Alright. Let me see if I can get to the party right now,” she said. After a few seconds, she spoke up from the other end of the line.

“It’s not working for me.”

Valerie wasn’t surprised, as she had also tried the things Ashley had mentioned, but none of them worked for her.

“Alright, but do you hear the sound of raindrops when you use your powers?” she asked. Ashley’s response was immediate.

“No, I don’t.”

“That explains it. It might be from the same source, but I guess we are empowered to use it differently.”

Ashley was still happy to have some powers to assist her pack during attacks. Since they had different powers, they could always support each other in times of need.

“That must be it, but I’m so grateful. This will greatly help my pack, and I can help if you need me.”

Valerie smiled. It was true. So far, four packs were in a strong collaboration, with one more waiting to join.

Troy and Adira were already on board, as were Idris and Alpha Lawn. If Ludwig improved, it would bring these three packs together.

“It’s worth it, knowing you’ll always be safe. If you had this during Orion’s attack, he wouldn’t have survived,” Valerie reflected on the phone, and Ashley agreed.

“You’re right, but I have to hang up now. Luna responsibilities aren’t easy, and preparations are underway for my coronation in a few days.”

Valerie smiled in understanding. Ashley never took pack responsibilities seriously before so this could too much for her.

“Don’t worry. I’ll be there a day before with Denzel.” She couldn’t wait to join Ashley at the Litha Moon pack.

“Great, see ya.”

Valerie lowered her phone as strong arms wrapped around her waist, and a familiar scent filled her nostrils.

“Val, I have good news.”
