Chapter 401: Chapter 401 – Touching Moments
Luna Valerie woke up after a few hours, feeling rejuvenated. The sleep had restored her energy, but she was disappointed not to see Alpha Denzel beside her.

Sighing, she went to freshen up in the bathroom but ended up taking a shower and wearing a pair of jeans and a turtleneck.

Stepping out of her room, she heard the door to the Alpha Chamber open, and Ashley stepped out, also changed and refreshed.

“Val, are you alright?” Ashley asked worriedly. Valerie smiled and responded, “Of course. How about you?”

“I’m good, but you fainted, so I was disturbed,” Ashley cleared the air. Valerie sighed. “That was because I was tired. I never rested when I went to Vegas and had to return immediately to not miss the coronation.”

Ashley was very grateful, and remembering what the pack members had in store for Valerie, Ashley encouraged her.

“I heard a moonlight party is ongoing. Why don’t we join them?”

Valerie was still curious about where Denzel was, not knowing if she should mindlink him but somehow felt like spying on him from a distance.

“Do you know where Denzel went?”

Ashley shook her head. “No. And I’m curious about Idris’s whereabouts too.”

The packhouse was too quiet because of the exciting activities, so they decided to join, as well as look for their men.

They could hear the party sounds, which they followed to the moonlight party. But before they joined, they saw two men standing isolated.

“There they are,” Ashley exhaled when she saw the two Alphas chatting warmly. It was something heartwarming, and she could not keep her eyes off her man.

With Valerie, they ambled close enough to hear exactly what they were chatting about, with their gazes on the partying pack members.

“We need to celebrate the women the Moon Goddess gave us, Denzel. I will get some glasses and champagne,” they heard Alpha Idris saying, their hearts warming to his words as Ashley interrupted.

“You two are celebrating without us? How rude?”

The two men were flabbergasted when they turned in the direction of the voices. “Val,” Alpha Denzel said with a warm smile, hastening in the direction of his Luna and wrapping his arms safely around her waist.

Alpha Idris equally embraced Ashley, wondering how long they had been up and standing there. But pulling away, he thought it better to go for the champagne when multiple voices surrounded them.

The party had been redirected in their direction, and Valerie was elated to see the pack members beaming with so much joy around her, instantly feeling at home.

“Luna Valerie, thank you so much for saving us,” the pack members bowed in reverence. Valerie was touched.

Alpha Denzel always felt at home at the Litha Moon pack, which she felt was only because of Luna Fernanda. But after this, she was certain that it wasn’t just about Luna Fernanda but also the welcoming pack members.

“It’s nothing. Your Alpha and Luna would have done the same for me, and trust me, they’ve done a lot for us. Go back and party more,” she said to them. But instead of leaving, a road formed in the middle of them, showing a girl holding gifts on a tray.

The girl walked the path they created between them to Valerie, but reaching there, an elderly woman spoke in her stead.

“This is our first mineral produce since Alpha Idris introduced new businesses. A ruby necklace. Please accept it as a token of appreciation.”

The Litha Moon pack members’ way of showing appreciation was different from any pack she had ever been to, but in this case, she could not accept the gift.

“I really appreciate this gift, but I can’t take it. You are all my family because you have my sister, and I love Luna Fernanda like my mom.”

The pack members were disappointed that she rejected the gift, but one of them made a suggestion.

“Luna Valerie, do you like music and dance? We were working on a choreography to welcome our Luna during the coronation but couldn’t use it because of the underground rogues. Would you like to see it?”

Valerie was excited about this one, and Ashley was amazed that they had this whole surprise planned for them. The rogues had indeed done a lot of harm.

“Well, we can’t wait to see it,” Valerie said excitedly, one of the girls ran to get chairs for them and Alpha Idris went to get the champagne, serving it to them when the music played out and the choreographers danced under the moon light.

It was beautifully crafted, especially the part where the kids, not more than five years old, performed some acrobatics here and there.

It brought tears to Alpha Idris’ eyes as he remembered that the warrior who taught them those moves was among those who were killed by the underground rogues.

Nevertheless, he was grateful that he got to experience their talent even after their death.

The sound of applause and standing ovation jolted him back from his trance, and he clapped for the dancers.

Looking at Valerie’s excited face, he was glad that she was happy. Valerie blew them a kiss.

“Thank you all so much. This feels like home because the love you have shown me makes me feel at home.”

They happily ran back to continue their party, leaving the two Alphas with their Lunas. Alpha Denzel suddenly suggested,

“Someday, we shall come here for a vacation.”

Alpha Idris and Luna Ashley were thrilled, and Valerie readily welcomed the idea, asking, “Can we visit the cottage once more before leaving?”

Not knowing much about how the cottage worked because he never devoted time to it, Alpha Idris knew exactly who to ask.

“Don’t worry. I will ask my mom, and I know she won’t refuse.”

Alpha Denzel had a smirk on his face, and they chatted more over glasses and bottles of champagne into the wee hours of the morning before going to bed.

By the time Valerie woke up the next morning, it was as if she had been transported to a completely new world, as everything looked different. What did Alpha Denzel have up his sleeve again?
