Chapter 412: Chapter 412 – Planning Ahead
“Yeah, he’s learned so well. The moon goddess is wise,” Denzel said. Valerie was surprised that he was no longer upset with the moon goddess.

“She did not take Raven and just leave us empty,” Alpha Denzel explained. Valerie recalled something and asked,

“That reminds me. How did it go with Ludwig?” Another yawn escaped her, but she was still eager to hear it.

“Better than I thought. He was like a completely different person,” Alpha Denzel said honestly. Luna Valerie smiled.

“I’m happy to hear that, but can you let me sleep?” She turned away from Denzel, hugging her pillow tightly.

Denzel laid beside her, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Your body needs it to form the baby.” He kissed her on the forehead before watching her sleep.

Alpha Denzel knew that a lot had to be put into perspective for the successful delivery of their pup, so he went to meet all the pack members.

“You all know that our Luna is pregnant, and I don’t want a situation where she would be forced to face any war. So, from now onwards, all external affairs concerning the pack would be handled by Burke,” Alpha Denzel announced. They did not seem surprised since Burke had already begun doing so.

“Gandolf and Dorothy, much would be added to your responsibility as well. Ray and Raven, you should see me in my office after this meeting,” Alpha Denzel said seriously before addressing all the pack members again.

“You all know what happened at the Litha Moon Pack. Those underground rogues might come again at any point in time, so everyone should be well prepared. What I want is for you to be smart and sensitive. Should you see or notice anything strange, you should quickly mindlink me.”

The pack members nodded their heads after discussing briefly among themselves to understand that they all understood the instruction.

“Alpha, have you been able to figure out a way of defeating these underground rogues without powers?” a warrior asked, seeming afraid.

Alpha Denzel felt helpless at the moment, knowing that even if Ashley had her wolf, her powers would not work because they fed their strength from Valerie.

“I’m still researching it, which is why I need to have this meeting with Ray and Raven. Alice, join them, and if anyone senses having a strange power, come directly to me.”

The pack members nodded their heads, and Alpha Denzel wished that somebody would step out with positive news of having some special powers, but he was dismayed that there was nothing like that.

After hearing about what happened at the Litha Moon Pack, the Evergreen pack members have been afraid, recalling that the next underground rogue attack would be at the Evergreen pack.

However, their fears did not last long, knowing their Alpha would come out with a solution to keep them safe.

In Alpha Denzel’s office, the three people sat in front of him as he began to question them. “Ray and Raven, we shall need strong herbs to make our warriors repulsive to the underground werewolves.”

The twins’ brows raised, as they never thought about an herb like that but were determined to find it when Alpha Denzel added, “There should also be herbs to help with injuries in case some warriors get injured. They shall be needed as soon as they fall.”

The twins took note of that as well. Raven answered, “We shall get to it right now but will need to go with some warriors into the forests out of the packs to get some of them.”

They already made out the uses of all the herbs discovered in the pack but figured they would not be enough.

It was time to get some more of it. “You don’t have a problem with that. You can go with as many warriors as you want.”

Then he focused his attention on Alice. “Alice, our Luna would not have her powers throughout her pregnancy, so we have to go back to finding how you can use your powers without getting injured.”

Alice was saddened but nodded her head. It was far easier when Luna Valerie was there on that day to soothe her injuries with her powers.

“I will start working on it, Alpha,” Alice said with determination. After the meeting ended, Alpha Denzel had another one with his fellow pack leaders.

“Since the pack warriors would take instructions from us when there is a war or anything, I want you to understand how the underground werewolves operate. If you heard that they eat our kind, it’s not a lie.”

Alpha Denzel did not want to scare them but rather to make them understand what they are fighting against.

“It happened right in front of me, and there just isn’t one of them but quite a lot.”

“Alpha, how do we defeat them then?” Burke asked, slightly afraid, upon hearing that their Luna lost her powers.

It meant that should this attack happen at a time like this when their Luna would not be able to help, then things were going to be unpredictable.

“That is what I am coming to. I already tasked Raven and Ray with finding us herbs that would make us repulsive to them. The good thing is, these underground rogues are really slow.

“One, we can get something slimy to delay them further or to even make them fall, which would give us an advantage over them. Imagine we become repulsive to them, and they also end up on the floor.”

The leaders were smiling at the plan but not surprised. Alpha Denzel has always been smart, coming out with unimaginable solutions.

Alpha Denzel explained further. “What you would have to do is to help me guide the warriors on what to do at every point in time. I’m thinking of more ways, but this is it for now. I have to check on our Luna,” he said, glancing at his watch.

Alpha Denzel did not want Valerie to wake up feeling hungry but also remembered something very vital he should have done before calling for the meeting, instantly getting to it.

Luna Valerie did not wake up until the next day but never felt the same gain.
