“Val, you’re up already?” Denzel squinted his eyes to make sure he was seeing correctly. Valerie had a smile on her face, feeling more energetic than she had in the last few days.

Who knew that her mate getting intimate with her would help to nourish her demanding pup?

Denzel’s gaze left her confused. She couldn’t understand why he was so surprised by her increased energy.

Or was it because she was already dressed in her training pants? That must be it.

“Are you surprised? It’s just too early to go for training, so I decided to read a book. As soon as it’s time, I will go with you to training,” Valerie removed her gaze from the book as she spoke but kept in mind the paragraph she was reading before.

“But why the sudden change? You seemed so weak before,” Denzel said thoughtfully, rising to a sitting position. He was still naked, and somehow, Valerie was already in need of him.

She blushed through smiles. “I don’t know. Perhaps my mate was needed to keep our pup strengthened, or it might be a male pup who wants to be just like his dad.”

Alpha Denzel was glad to be of help, but if this was what it took for their pup to grow stronger than him, then he was more than willing to satisfy his erotic desires until it wasn’t needed anymore.

He walked around her, but reaching where she sat reading a book, he bent over and lifted her in his arms. The book dropped onto the chair she sat on before.

“If that’s the case, why don’t we do it again?” Alpha Denzel said, his lips meeting hers to prevent her from objecting.

She trusted Raven’s herbs more than any other vitamins to be provided to her. “Then I will bring them to the cottage,” she said with a smile.

For as long as Luna Valerie agreed, she was going to deliver the herbs every morning to make sure that she was well nourished throughout the pregnancy.

“Luna, I’m so glad you are fine,” Alice said, but Ray was only smiling in a corner. When Valerie saw him, she called him over.

“Ray, thanks for the last time.” Valerie hadn’t forgotten that Ray was the one she woke up to see when she was blinded by the intense darkness.

Ray smiled and responded. “It’s my responsibility, Luna, you don’t have to thank me.”

With their Luna around, training was very interesting that day, and with everyone’s support, Valerie’s pregnancy was a smooth one until four months later when pleasant news reached her ears.

“Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie, my Luna, Adira, has borne the pack a cute son, Brunco.” Alpha Troy sounded like the proudest Alpha in North America. No one could blame him, as anyone would have behaved that way upon hearing such wonderful news.

The news was like a pad of joy for Alpha Denzel and Luna Valerie, who were listening to the excited Alpha on the phone speaker.

“This is wonderful news,” Alpha Denzel replied before something else came to mind, making him ask.

“Are you planning to announce him anytime soon?”

Luna Adira was resting from her post-labor pains, so Alpha Troy was the one sending all the information.

“No, Alpha Denzel. Adira and I have agreed to break tradition to keep his identity hidden for a while,” Alpha Troy replied. Alpha Denzel was glad that he had grown wise.

“Let me try. Oh, she’s even awake. Here, Luna Valerie is on the line,” they heard him say from the end of the line.

Adira was excited, much to Valerie’s surprise, as the latter seemed to have just woken up from bed. Well, it could also be because of the new addition to their pack, so Valerie asked seriously.

“Adira, how was it? Some said it’s painful, but I want to know from your experience.” She sounded nervous, making Adira want to laugh.
