Chapter 422: Chapter 422 – How are there blood stains?
Alpha Denzel could feel the tension of everyone present under the moonlight. They genuinely cared about Valerie, and that was heartening.

“Your pup has his destiny in his hands, but like I said before, he must never climb a hill or mountain. Nevertheless, if he does and faces the consequence, there would be nothing that can stand in his way.”

That did not sound bad to Alpha Denzel.

This was the first time the moon goddess said something that was devoid of fear, and for always wishing that his son would be stronger than him, Alpha Denzel was not going to stop him from climbing any mountain to prevent him from learning whatever consequence there was.

If he feared challenges, he would not have been where he was at the moment, and his son would have to create his path, the only advantage being that his father and mother would be there to give him all the needed guidance like they did for other pack members and warriors.

Now, after realizing that Valerie’s powers only returned temporarily to fight those rogues, Denzel was quite relieved.

“Thank you,” he finally said to the moon goddess, not expecting to get a response because of how busy the goddess was but did so.

“Well, she earned it through her selflessness. If she had decided to protect her pup and watch the pack perish, things would have turned out differently.”

Everyone was relieved and could feel the moon goddess smiled at them. However, she managed to make them feel safe after scaring them so much before was still strange to them.

The moon darkened after that, meaning the moon goddess was gone, and instantly, Valerie began screaming from intense pain, and it was as if her stomach was burning, so Raven fed her the herbs.

The moment she swallowed it, something began to happen, and even Alpha Denzel noticed it. Her pup was kicking so hard, Valerie was exhausted.

“Does he understand that his kicks are beginning to hurt?” She asked, Alpha Denzel chuckled. Placing his hand on Valerie’s bump, he spoke to his pup in the womb.

“Hey kiddo, your mother’s body is undergoing a lot of stress right now. Can you not make it too hard for her than it is now?”

Oddly but satisfactorily, the kicks stopped abruptly.

“This is amazing. You should be doing that more often for us, but wait, are you naked?” Valerie suddenly asked when she felt his hardness around her, Denzel cursed internally.

Due to everything that happened, he forgot to put on clothes after shifting, but it did not seem anyone noticed it anyway.

They had all been so focused on getting their pup back. Burke handed Alpha Denzel the emergency clothes and said,

“I will supervise the cleaning.”

Before he took a step, Alpha Denzel stopped him. “Wait, I have something to say to everyone.”

Seeing that he was about to wear the emergency clothes, everyone turned their backs to him. During wars, no one gave attention even when anyone walked around naked, but in this case, the war was over, and their Alpha was getting dressed.

Valerie stood up to give him space but noticed the blood stains on his thighs and hers. Her pants were also stained.

“What happened? How are there blood stains?” she asked, not remembering anything from before.

Alpha Denzel dressed up quickly before snatching an emergency cloth from one of the omegas to help her change. Due to her condition, the least he could do was to render his support for her in interesting ways.

“Did you forget how you exchanged the life of our pup for your powers?” Valerie was stunned, but the memories began rushing in one more time.

“How is it that he’s kicking? I felt him still the moment my powers returned.”

Alpha Denzel was looking around, and following his gaze, she wondered how the warriors were involved in this.

After going unconscious after the bleeding, she was not privy to all the conversations that ensured with the moon goddess.

“I will tell you later, but as for now, we need to thank the pack members. Alice here summoned the moon goddess, and everyone was ready to sacrifice something, just so our pup would live.”

Valerie’s eyes turned glassy upon hearing that all this had been done in her presence, and yet without her knowledge.

She loved them from the depth of her heart, and knowing they loved her too, made it all worth it.

“Thank you all for standing together to protect our pup. This defines the love and bond that we share as a pack, and I’m happy that you are all learning so well,” Alpha Denzel said, the pack members were all smiles, not knowing what to say.

He turned his attention to Raven and Alice. “And your both wanting to sacrifice your powers and talent is equally touching,” Alpha Denzel said, the two smiled, only happy that the heir of the pack was fine.

“Luna, you need rest. Those herbs must have made you energetic, but you will break down if you don’t rest well.”

“I will make sure she gets the needed rest,” Denzel smirked before lifting her in his arms, and he said to Burke.

“The pack is in your hands.”

Burke was so happy to be entrusted with such great responsibility and would ensure that the pack was back to its former glory. He recalled something and asked Raven.

“Can we get something to wash that substance out of our system?”

Raven chuckled. A lot of water will do. Remembering something, she whispered something in Burke’s ears, which made Alpha Denzel frown and ask suspiciously.

“What are you two discussing? I want to hear it.”

Luna Valerie seemed interested as well since Burke already had a mate. No one wanted problems to arise from pack members bonding with each other outside the mate bond.

“I want to hear it too,” she added her voice, Raven was sweating hard.
